Overall Experience

This is the first time we have used a care provider and are currently on the minimum package - one 30 minute call per day. Mum has settled very well with the visits and is getting to know members of the team - it helps to see some regular faces each week. Carers are punctual, professional and friendly. Likewise, office staff have been available and helpful when we have had any questions regarding the service. The app is a really useful tool to keep track of visits and any relevant comments.

Overall Experience
As with any organisation, there is a variation in the input of the person attending. The female staff are good but the male staff are not very domesticated.

Unfortunately, I have a predominance of the latter so far this year.

Overall Experience
All carers are extremely professional in their care of me, enabling me to remain in my own home.

The only negative is that carers are often not given enough travel time between calls. This can affect my two up calls, where one person arrives but has to wait for the second carer to arrive.

The service I receive is adequate for my need. The carers are always friendly and respectful. In this current crisis, they adopt all the necessary precautions.

The management and staff of Bluebird Care all display a very caring and courteous manner, whilst exhibiting a professional attitude. Tamsin’s career moved into Dementia Healthcare in 2017 after gaining an NVQ3 in Dementia Care studies during the pandemic lockdowns, in her previous role as a Dementia Adviser in Oxfordshire.  Before this, she had worked for many years as a CIPD-qualified Human Resources Generalist, working in Education/Care settings. Tamsin has always been a people-focused person, so the move into person-centred Dementia Care has been a natural progression as well as somewhat of a passion. Tamsin is delighted to be able to continue using her specialist experience, skills and dementia knowledge, with our customers affected by dementia.  She sees supporting and advising their family members as an extremely important side of her role in this new position with Bluebird Care in West Berkshire and North Hampshire.
