We couldn't be happier with the care that Home Instead provides for our 95-year-old dad, who lives alone and has dementia. The carers are absolutely wonderful - gentle, patient, and genuinely caring. They visit every day and take the time to ensure Dad is comfortable, safe, and able to stay living independently in spite of his health issues.
The team is proactive and observant, often picking up on small things that my brother and I (who live far away) can then follow up on. It's such a comfort knowing that Dad is in good hands. Communication is excellent - the manager is always responsive by email and follows through on everything promptly.

Home Instead has made a huge difference for Dad and for us as a family. We're truly grateful for their professionalism, compassion, and consistency. Highly recommended!

For roughly 4 years we used Home Instead Farnborough for my mother's care. Having had a few falls I had to put her in a respite home while I arranged for her house to be fitted with hand rails etc.. Fortunately, when it was time to move her back home I hit the jackpot with Home Instead and their carers.
From initial 2 visits a day, then 3 and finally 4 they were absolute stars with no missed visits whatsoever. My mother, my sister and I were very impressed and the regular carers pretty much became my mother's friends and she looked forward to her visits.
At the end of March this year my mother had a nasty fall in the evening and had activated her falls alarm. I was about an hours drive away but one of the office staff drove over to assist. Sadly my mother ended up in hospital, never to return home. The carers still visited her around lunchtime each day until she passed away.

They always brought a smile to my mother's face and I cannot thank the carers and the office staff enough.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a heartfelt review. It means the world to our whole team to know that we were able to make a difference to your mother's life and provide reassurance to you and your sister over the years. I can highly recommend Home Instead for your care needs..I was very nervous about putting something in place regarding my Dad but , a particular member of staff was fantastic, nothing was a problem, her communication with me was faultless.

When it came to our first day I needn't have worried so much. If I could have hand pick someone to be with my Dad I would have chosen a particular male carer, he was kind, calm and thoughtful, he put me at ease.

My 2nd 5 star review for Home Instead, Farnborough.
Sadly, my uncle recently passed away, but for the past 9 months of his life he was cared for by the most incredible live-in care professional. The carer went above and beyond to give him the most wonderful care imaginable. She was respectful, considerate, caring, hard working (with very high standards), thoughtful, resilient and always professional. The carer provided stimulating companionship for my uncle, who apart from my weekly visits had largely been living alone for many years. She built up an amazing bond with him which was vital because he had Alzheimer's and we faced many challenges in the final months which the carer handled with energy, compassion, intelligence, efficiency and humour.

I honestly cannot compliment this amazing lady enough and I have been very happy with Home Instead. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a care company.

I have required help with my care for thirty years and have been a client of Home Instead for eight years. Home Instead is the best home care provider I have ever had. They take the time to get to know you so they are able to match the client to the appropriate care professional. Then a team is built up to give you consistency of care. Their cheerfulness brightens my day. When receiving personal care, my dignity is always protected. I can only speak from my own experience but the care professionals that work for Home Instead do it because they care, it's not just a job to them. It's a great comfort knowing that I have well-trained care professionals caring for me. I have a team of four lady care professionals and I would like to say thank you to 4 staff members in particular for making a difference to my life. I also want to thank another staff member for matching these ladies to me. I could not be happier with the service that Home Instead provides. I would recommend Home Instead to anyone.

Having been a client for over 2 years, I continue to be very happy with all that Home Instead does for me.
But one of my carers is exceptional and has become a good friend also. She is always willing to help in any way, knowing almost what I need or require before I know myself.

She is a treasure.

Home Instead were such a reliable, professional team. Sadly, we had to end our time with them as my mother needed residential care. Home Instead understood our circumstances and supported us. The care, support and compassion my mum had with Home Instead was wonderful. The carers took the time to listen to my mum. They were all interested in getting to know her and her interests as well as making sure her home was clean, neat and tidy. Mum and I got to know her caring team and it felt like we had an extended family! We will always be very grateful that we found such a great team.

Our grandfather has been receiving companionship and personal care at home for 15 months. Home Instead (Farnborough, Farnham & Fleet) provide a personalised, friendly, flexible and reliable service and take huge pride in their work and genuinely meet his practical and emotional needs. Amazing care professionals who we trust and consider family friends. When any of the team arrives Grandad's face lights up and they truly put him first often going above and beyond expectations. All are kind, and thoughtful and understand our grandfather's care requirements whilst maintaining the utmost professionalism. The office team are equally supportive with reliable communication with the family and nothing is ever too much trouble. Senior staff oversight means we are all in safe hands and have peace of mind. The care planning app means I have virtual oversight of his care and well-being. This is the third time I have used Home Instead (Farnborough, Farnham & Fleet) which says it all!

Home Instead carers are quite literally a lifeline. Knowing that professional care is in place when I am unable to be with my elderly parents brings me peace of mind. I have total trust in the carer's judgement and know that she will call, without hesitation, for appropriate medical assistance if required. Indeed, this has happened on more than one occasion! The carer has tremendous empathy and is extremely efficient, kind, considerate, respectful and punctual. She pre-empts their needs and requirements and notices any problems. She regularly accompanies them to hospital and doctors' appointments, reporting back accurate information and resolving any issues that may arise. My mother has a lovely relationship and friendship with her carer who regularly makes her laugh and supports her independence. Her recent assistance at a family funeral exemplified her thorough professionalism and genuine care. She always exceeds expectations in her levels of care. Nothing is ever too much trouble.

My father lived at home until he was 94 largely due to the care he received from Home Instead. Because they allow more time for visits they can achieve so much beyond the basic needs. As I live in Cornwall, it was comforting to know that he was in good hands. I knew he was kept comfortable, well fed and genuinely cared for. Every time I spoke to the team, they were more than helpful. It is also great to be able to read the daily visit reports on the app, however I always received a phone call if there were any concerns or queries.

Reply from Rich Denham, Marketing Manager at Home Instead (Farnborough, Farnham & Fleet)

I cannot recommend Home Instead highly enough!!!!
looked after my uncle for many years and always went out of their way to help his often complicated emotional needs.
I always knew he was in safe hands, but to see the care they gave him towards the end when almost overnight he went from one visit a day, to needing 24/7 end-of-life care, was incredible. They pulled the stops out to ensure he was well looked after when he needed it most and showed him so much respect for his sensitive and delicate medical needs.

I can honestly say the staff felt like family, and they treated him as if he was their own too! Amazing!

From my initial enquiry to ongoing care in place for my mum, I have found all staff I have been in contact with at Home Instead to be helpful, friendly, understanding and efficient. Mum now has a team of lovely caregivers who she really looks forward to seeing. She tells me how kind everyone is, respectful of her wishes and also, of her home. It was reassuring to Mum to be able to meet potential caregivers before they started visiting her, and having regular visit times and receiving a fortnightly schedule has helped establish the new routine. When the initial start time was a bit of a rush for Mum to be ready, the caregiver fed this back, and straight away, the visit times were moved to suit Mum better. The new client manager has been very supportive in setting up not just the right care at home for Mum but finding the right caregivers who Mum feels comfortable with. Since we have changed agencies to Home Instead, the positive difference in Mum's mood, anxiety and well-being are wonderful to see.

I am so grateful for the friendly and helpful support that I have received from Home Instead following my hip operation.

Caregivers were always happy to do whatever was needed on the day, from help with pressure stockings, housework, shopping, accompanying me on gradually lengthening walks to engaging in interesting conversations. It is certainly a very talented team and Home Instead's 'Outstanding' classification from the Care Quality Commission is very well deserved.

Mahdi Kazemzadeh Job Title: Director Joined: 2017
Mahdi Kazemzadeh

Hi, I’m Mahdi, and I have been the Director of Care and Continuous Improvements Officer at the Home Instead Farnborough office since December 2017.

I have an Iranian heritage, and before joining Home Instead, I spent 10 years of my professional career working in the engineering and energy sector – quite a natural choice for somebody originally from that part of the world! Whilst it was a stimulating industry to work in, where there is a fast pace and travelling, I ultimately realised something was missing. I found myself looking to settle down in one place and do something more personally fulfilling, something that would involve giving back to the community.

There was also another reason that made me start thinking about change. During my time as an undergraduate student at the University of Cardiff, I lived with a couple who became like my second parents. They are now in their mid-seventies, and being still regularly in touch with them, I have witnessed how their health and physical strength are gradually deteriorating. That and the story of my wife’s (Natalia) grandmother ensured me that involvement in elderly care could just be that rewarding new path in my career that I had been looking for.

I am grateful to have a wonderful office team by my side, as well as exceptionally caring CAREgivers who are really passionate about helping and sensitive to the needs of our clients. It is heart-warming to hear from our clients and/or their families how happy they are and that, thanks to us, they can live independently in the safety of their own homes for longer. You really feel then that all the work is worthwhile! I also embrace the opportunity of meeting members of the local community in church groups, community centres, charities and so on to tell them about the great things we do.

In my free time, I enjoy spending most of my time with my wife, whether it is during outdoor walks, cooking together, watching a movie or travelling!
