Verilife has a Review Score of 6.8 (6.818) out of 10, based on 2 reviews in the last 2 years.
Over all time Verilife has 16 reviews.
And their integrity is infinitely appreciated.
Caregiving can be such a tough and unsung thing;
tending to the basic or complex needs, and vulnerability of their clients,
and sometimes navigating the weirdness of trippy conditions.
It can also be a beautiful thing.
Verilife was like a rainbow in disruptive weather.
My mother was in the wilds of Dementia with Lewy bodies, and Parkinson's,
and the Verilife team were so vigilant
and worked really hard to make her quality of life better.
They magnified so much heartfelt care,
and Fun,
and made my mum feel respected and safe.
I learned so much from everyone,
and loved supporting my mother alongside them.
We'll always be so grateful to the Verilife team!
Thank you so much for taking the time to give a review and such a lovely one too. I will make sure the team are aware. I know your mum was much loved by the staff - thank you again
We were allocated this agency following my Mother's discharge from hospital. Throughout the period of care, we encountered several issues. The agency were unable to accommodate my Mother's preferred call times, and there were consistent problems with staff punctuality. Additionally, I observed that staff members were not consistently wearing the correct PPE. A significant security concern also arose when the key safe was left with the numbers unscrambled. We also had a call from the council a couple of weeks later (after we had cancelled the care) to check whether Verilife were still attending to my Mother.
I am sorry you have felt the need to complain. I have looked into your issues and although we did not receive complaints on PPE and the key safe while your mother was a client we have spoken to the carers attending as it is not something we normally have problems with. We were not given a time from...
I last left a review some three months ago and feel it’s only fair to update it. Since the last review we have noticed a good improvement in contact from the company and up to date have no complaints. The care staff are very professional and friendly and meet the needs required by my blind immobile mother-in-law. If I could I would give the three usual carers ten stars (excellent credit to the company).
Verilife provided both of my parents with unwavering dignity, ensuring that they felt valued and respected. The carers were supportive and patient, even when my parents were sometimes rude or frustrating (as older people can be). My mum and dad used to sing songs with the carers and loved chatting about anything from their grandchildren to their favourite restaurants. From a care perspective, any health concerns were communicated to me immediately and they would even contact me if they noticed my parents were running low on anything such as pads or wipes. They have always gone above and beyond to support both myself and my parents, truly building a strong connection with my mum and dad, so it was like having friends visit every day.
After caring for my husband (who has advanced dementia) single-handedly, it was such a relief emotionally and physically to finally have help. The carers have been very supportive and understanding and the care they give my husband is extremely good. Having been in the care business myself, I know full well the difficulties of the work but the agency have always been able to meet our needs. The staff seem to be well trained and have always been friendly and polite. We mostly have a regular known group of carers and this helps my husband remain calm and relaxed with their help, I hope to keep him at home for the foreseeable future.
Verilife provided caring services for my mother when she had dementia and were a natural choice for us to provide night care services for my father following a fall. He quickly established a great rapport with his carers, usually sitting chatting to them for quite some time before going to bed. He was treated with great respect and just the right amount of familiarity by the caring staff themselves as well as the management and office-based staff that visited him to assess his needs and check that he was happy with the service. When his condition suddenly and unexpectedly deteriorated, we quickly had to move to full-time care. The management went above and beyond to get extra care for us, at very short notice. In the final days, the carers liaised directly with the St Christopher's team, judging perfectly when extra medication might be needed and ensuring he never lost his dignity. We will never be able to thank them enough for the support they gave to us all at such a sad time.
Thank you I know it was such a shock that he deteriorated so quickly I am so glad we were able to support you. We all grew very fond of him I am sure he is greatly missed.
Carer's English speaking was appalling so we couldn't really understand them (mother certainly couldn't) - not caring. They did not read nor update the Care Plan. Dropped medication several times and had not checked so my mother missed taking them and we found the pills later. Walked away whilst she took meds so didn't check she was safe when she has dementia. Would often arrive anytime they pleased and not the agreed hours i.e. arrive at 11 am for breakfast call and then at 3 pm for an evening call. Never washed up properly and left cups and plates filthy, left dirty cloths and soiled towels. Washed my 83-year-old mother in the kitchen standing when she has reoccurring falls and with the window open and naked. The consent form (GDPR) was not signed in the correct company name so breaching DPA. Never logged or report concerns i.e. my mother's hair coming out in chunks when they roughly brushed it nor red raw skin. Left bedding soiled. Cold soup for lunch or scrambled egg sandwich! The list is endless!
Did not read the care package.
Would make a sandwich and brush crumbs on the floor.
I had to ask on a regular basis for my mother’s bin to be emptied in her lounge as my mother would put a sandwich in the bin and it would be left to go mouldy.
They would turn up at 11 am for a morning call then come back at 12.30 for a lunchtime call.
Never wiped down any surfaces.
Never wrapped food with cling film or put dates on opened food.
Never washed up with washing up liquid.
The list goes on.
I had to ask the carer to not take my 89-year-old mother from the bathroom to her bedroom with no clothes on but to please put a dressing gown on her.
Very happy and satisfied with the level of service and care provided by Verilife. The carers are very reliable, they have never let us down. They tend to all of my mother's needs and make sure she is well cared for.
Thank you so much for your review, we really appreciate your thoughts. I will pass on your comments to the team.
We have been very pleased by Verilife's efforts to ensure - as far as possible - that my mum has received care from a consistent number of individuals. The familiar faces of her carers are vital, as she is increasingly confused and isolated due to her dementia. We know from my mum's responses towards her main carers that she completely trusts and feels safe with them. The carers have been very kind and respectful and we cannot thank them enough for the vital service they offer. The office has also been good at keeping us in touch about any issues regarding my mum and her care package. I would be very happy to recommend Verilife to anyone else looking for care for a relative.
Thank you so much for your kind review, we really appreciate your thoughts. I will pass on your comments to the team.
Verilife has provided a reliable and regular service to our good friend for over a year. The carers make two visits each day to check our friend is okay, has had food and drink and prompt our friend to take medication. Our friend gets on well with the main carer who calls 5-6 days a week. Sometimes communication between the carers has been insufficient. If there is a problem when the carers call on our friend, Verilife responds quickly and contacts me so we can try to sort it out.
We are aware that communication between carers can sometimes become mixed and we strive to support them through strong communication from the office staff....
I have been most appreciative of the ways in which the team have supported and communicated with me, letting me know of the concerns they have had and of the many changes they have needed to put in place.
Managing her laundry, preparing her favourite meals, telling me what food and other items she has needed to keep her comfortable has been so helpful and considerate, nothing has ever been too much trouble during this difficult and challenging time.
It has been quite a difficult year for everyone, I am glad we have been able to support your loved one.
Verilife has been giving home care to my Mother for three years now. My mother has Alzheimer’s and her mobility is now very poor. Verilife carers have been so amazing and there for us during such stressful and sad times. They have to do everything really now and my family are very grateful. Even during the pandemic when I could not see my Mum, they were there every day. The team in the office are always there for help and questions too. I can highly recommend.
Thank you so much. I will pass on your comments to the team.
We have used Verilife since December 2018. The care we receive from our main carer goes above and beyond. During the pandemic and because my husband is vulnerable and under palliative care, we have been lucky that we were able to have the same carer. Our carer has been very considerate in providing 7-day care 3 times daily so as not to put my husband at risk. Exceptional care provided. I think if a company have good carers they should do everything to keep them because they are the ones out every day earning the image for a successful company.
Thank you for your kind words. We are very lucky, as a company, to have some amazing staff.
I can wholeheartedly recommend Verilife to any prospective clients. Their carers are all first class and professional in their approach to caring. They also supported my father recently and it was a great comfort to have Verilife looking after him as I knew that he would get the best care available. I have been helped tremendously by my regular carer for the last seven years and have nothing but praise for her positive and active role in caring for me. All the carers are supported by excellent office staff who are excellent at their jobs. Definitely a five-star service.
Thank you so much for this lovely review. I will also make sure we let your care worker know.
Most of them are now my very good friends and I am always pleased to see them when they come, lots of cheerful chat and talking to my Wife.
Thank you for your kind words - they really are appreciated.
