Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, i am very pleased to see that you are happy with the services provided by us.
My mum started receiving help at the end of January 2026 after a long illness. She had been completely independent before and was quite worried about relying on people to care for her. From our first discussions with the manager, who visited mum at home, we were put at ease straight away. She spent time chatting with mum and finding out about her life, her wishes and any concerns she might have. The care package was arranged for mum, fitting in with her requirements. Mum is very happy with all of the carers, who are kind, thoughtful and cheerful. We feel very happy to have chosen Right at Home as the care provider for mum and would recommend them without hesitation.
I am so pleased Mum has found the care beneficial and has had such a positive outcome.
We are extremely happy with the care and attention that my wife receives from all the staff with whom we meet. I know that she is safe and well looked after during the service provision. Well done to you all.
I am happy to hear that you feel she is safe and well looked after .
Due to Right at Home being incredibly friendly, empathetic and professional, my mum loves having them and looks forward to the times they attend. Every time I have met them, they have been so lovely and easy to chat with, it's been more like a friend coming to visit.
Thank you for all you do !
I am very pleased to hear we have made such a positive impact , thank you for taking the time to leave such a lovely review .
The Right at Home team in Derby provide visiting home care support for my mum, who has well developed mixed dementia, currently aged 87, living alone and was someone who did not want to accept any care support at all, denying the dementia diagnosis. When I engaged the team, my mother was at risk due to her condition and because she is very active, regularly walking 3 miles crossing busy roads. I live 3 hours away. Over time the carers have develop a trust relationship with my mum and we now have a good care plan in place, which reduces my mums risk, with her being pleased to have 'new friends' visiting. The team continue to respond to my mum's developing care needs and I have daily access to the records of every visit. When I have provided feedback to the team, they have quickly responded to it. The team are caring, practical and proactive, responding to situations which have arisen immediately to ensure my mum is safe.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, it is a pleasure working with both Mum and yourself. It has been truly rewarding to see the turn around in the care package over the last few months, we look forward to supporting Mum further and enabling her to remain at home.
'Right at Home' was recommended by a friend. It took a little time to convince Mum this is a good idea. She is very capable but I wanted her to have (to start with) a couple of hours a week where she could concentrate on getting herself ready for work.
Right at Home came to my parents house for a consultation which I joined. This visit was so lovely, we had a cuppa and Mum showed the carer around the house and spoke to Dad too to make sure he was happy. Mum and Dad weren't rushed at all and we all had a good chit chat about all sorts. Within two weeks the care had started. Mum isn't great with anything online - she rings and pays over the phone and gets an invoice through the post which is perfect. The two ladies that alternate the care are just great and Mum has settled into the routine of being able to leave Dad alone whilst Dads carer is there. We've just booked extra care for a day so I can take Mum on a trip to London! Thank you RatH :)
Thank you for your review , i am very pleased to hear how smoothly the care package has started and how the care has been beneficial . I hope you enjoy your very ,deserved exciting day out .
Every single member of the Team has been incredibly helpful, kind and thoroughly professional in every aspect of their work. Everything has been easy to organise and when we asked for extra help it was there when we needed it.
The carers are all very experienced, and are so willing to provide excellent advice and guidance. They are all friendly and easy to get on with. It is like having a friend coming into your home.
Just a word about the Admin with Right at Home. Everything is laid out clearly. You know when calls are due in the next week and who will be doing them. If anything doesn't work for you as a client they try their hardest to make it right
Invoicing is clear and accurate.
Basically it's hard to think of a better run organisation. At a time when you need help the most Right at Home are there for you.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review . I am incredibly proud that as a team we have had such a positive impact on your family . It was our pleasure to provide care and reassurance , everyone from Right at home Derby wish you all the best on your next journey.
Right at Home (Derby) has offered a very professional, supportive, and caring service to my mum. I am most grateful to the carer and her team for giving the family peace of mind, knowing that she is in good hands, and for maintaining excellent communication at every step.
Thank you for your kind words, it is a pleasure providing a service to your mum. It is also lovely to hear that your minds are at peace.
I cannot praise the care and attention that my partner received too highly. All the carers were so good and treated us both with kindness and dignity. I would recommend Right at Home to anyone needing care. Nothing was too much trouble.
Thank you for your kind words, we are so pleased that we were able to assist you both at such a difficult time. It is also nice to hear how the care team have helped and reassured our clients.
From the very beginning, the staff were exceptionally supportive, guiding us through every step with patience and understanding. Their expertise in care was evident in the compassion and professional manner in which they attended to my father's needs. They provided excellent care and offered practical solutions to improve his daily living conditions.
The team's dedication and commitment to ensuring my father's well-being have been truly remarkable. They have gone above and beyond to make sure he is comfortable and well-cared for, and their kindness has made a significant difference in his quality of life.
I highly recommend Right at Home (Derby) to anyone in need of home care services. Their exceptional support and expertise have made a challenging time much more manageable for our family.
Thank you very much for your lovely review, it was a pleasure to provide care to your father , all at RAH Derby wish him the very best and will surely miss his humour.
Throughout our contact with Right at Home every member of staff we have had contact with has been courteous, informed and reliable. Special thanks to three members of staff in particular and I know that H would want me to send special thanks to a particular lady, one of the carers.
Thank you for your kind words, working with H was an absolute pleasure , all at RAH wish her the very best in her next chapter .
Mum has been expertly looked after by Right at Home for the last few years. Her needs have fluctuated over this time and it has been very useful for us that Right at Home has been able to accommodate the extra or fewer care calls that she has required. Mum has enjoyed meeting all the different carers and we are confident that, despite our living many miles away, Mum is able to live in her own home, which is exactly where she wants to be, with the help of these dedicated professionals.
Thank you for your lovely review. It is a pleasure to enable her to stay at home, with a care team she likes and knows.
Our current carer is so lovely. Understanding, kind and patient.
These situations are challenging, but Right at Home makes it that bit easier
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. It is nice to see that he gets on well with his care giver.
Right at Home have provided a wonderful service to my parents. Several friendly, caring, conscientious ladies came to our family home for 3-4 years to support my Mum in the final years of her life, and they have just started to provide a similar service for my Dad. I would describe them as angels. Their support has provided our family with peace of mind, dignity and good humour. I can't stress enough how much they added to my Mum's quality of life as she struggled with various things, and I am sure they will do the same for my Dad.
Thank you for your lovely review. It was a pleasure providing care for your mum, and we are very much looking forward to providing your Dad with the same service.
All my carers have been very pleasant, and helpful. Carers have different levels of experience but they all follow directions well and have learned what I need support with and how quickly so I have been very happy with the service Right at Home Derby has provided me with. I would thoroughly recommend them to anyone seeking support at home. This has been my first and only experience of home care so I can't say anything about value for money, but I am very satisfied with the care and service that I receive. The only reason I've rated management with 4 stars is because communication has sometimes not been as good as it could be (e.g. between the office and my daughter). However, the carers have been very willing to contact the office on my behalf to check arrangements, etc.
Thank for your review. I am glad to hear you have had a positive experience with our care staff and look forward to continue working with you.
I can honestly say that the team at Right At Home Derby have been amazing very personal and reactive to any changes or additional support required. We now have live-in care for my Uncle which has been seamless and a fantastic support for his well-being. To be able to remain at home was his biggest desire and Right At Home has made that possible for him.
Thank you for your kind words, it is a pleasure to work with you to enable your uncle to remain in his own home and for him to be safe.
I am the court-appointed deputy for my brother who had a stroke three years ago. Not living close to my brother we depend on Right at Home to provide the primary care. Nothing is too much for them (I try to keep my requests reasonable!) replies are friendly and efficient. Delivery is always accurate. Happy to recommend Right at Home (Derby branch in this case).
Thank you for your review, we are happy to hear you are pleased with our service and feel you can depend on us. We look forward to working with you further.
Right at Home has continued to excel at providing carers who are well-matched to meet my complex needs. I feel safe knowing they are highly trained and well-supported. They are a very happy team which goes a long way to improve the wellbeing of the clients.
Thank you very much for your review, it is lovely to hear we are meeting your needs and you feel safe.
I have been with Right at Home for over 5 years. My team of carers are professional and caring. Although the turnover has often been high they have always tried to meet my needs and provide the appropriate cover. I would recommend them.
Thank you for your review, it has been a pleasure working with you for the past 5 years, we look forward to many more.
Professional, caring, reassuring and meet my needs in the best ways they can. The carers are always respectful to me and encouraging in an empathetic way to get out and about which is beneficial for my confidence. One of the best decisions I have made.
Thank you for the review and feedback. We are pleased that the carers help you access your local community and are making a positive difference for you.

John started Right at Home Derby in 2012 after a long and successful career with an industry-leading family-run business.
Taking up the opportunity to spend time in his community, John was elected as a local councillor in Willington.
It was during a community event that John came across an elderly local parishioner who was reliant on care from a contracted provider. The parishioner was looking for help with getting a reliable service provider who would turn up on time, stay for the full time allocated and have some consistency with the care worker they were receiving.
Whilst trying to help the parishioners with their simple request, John realised that their case was not unique and that there were a lot of people who would benefit from a more personalised and quality service.
Working alongside a dedicated care team, he is passionate about delivering quality care to the people of Derbyshire.
John is now an active member promoting choice and personalisation within Derbyshire and Staffordshire and sits on the management committee of Derby Care Association which works to provide support to local providers and to improve the social care sector in Derby.
John is a recognised Dementia Friends and is training to be a local champion. John also supports Royal Derby Hospitals Dementia Action Group and works with local support group Making Space to help support people within Derby and Staffordshire.
The goal of Right at Home (Derby) is simple:
To add years to the lives of your loved ones, but as importantly, to add quality and life to those years.
In practice, this means:
Travelling in our time and not within the customer's allocated time.
Supplying the same friendly home care assistant on each call.
Each call will ideally last for at least 1 hour.
Each call is built on outcome-based activities to improve the quality of life of the individual.
Away from work, John enjoys spending time with his wife and being a permanent taxi driver to his 5 children.

Her commitment and expertise led to a promotion to full Care Coordinator in October 2020.
Jo has pursued continuous professional development, achieving a Level 3 qualification in Adult Health & Social Care, and is currently completing her Level 4 certification.
Jo thrives in the positive and collaborative environment at Right at Home Derby. With over seven years of service and continual professional growth, she remains hands-on in the community, performing care calls and maintaining her direct connection with clients, a role she find deeply rewarding.

Jodie began managing the company’s social media accounts, which opened up exciting opportunities to engage with our community in new ways.
By January 2024, Jodie fully transitioned from the recruitment department to her current role as the Digital and Community Marketing Partner for Right at Home Derby and East Staffordshire.
