We have only used your service twice for respite care, but the care my Mum received was second to none. We asked for the same young lady on the second instance and were lucky enough to have her for all the calls. This was great as Mum likes her very much and trusted her, as did we. The office team I have had dealing with has also been amazing. Thank you so much.
Thank you for your lovely review, your mum is a pleasure to support, the CareGiver has really enjoyed her time with your mum. We hope to be able to help out in the future.
I have been extremely delighted with the care I have received from Right at Home. All the carers have been very caring and polite nothing is too much trouble. I could not have managed without them.
Thank you for taking the time to complete a review. Your care team really enjoy assisting you with your shopping trips and keeping you as active as possible. Thanks, John
Every aspect of this service is first class. Setting up the visits was very personal, taking into account Mum's needs, ensuring she was given choice in the type of care to be given. The carers are lovely and kept to a small team for continuity of care ensuring Mum gets to know them and they build up a relationship with Mum. Always available on the phone for any queries and staff extremely helpful and friendly. It's great to see via my phone how Mum's visits have gone, giving me peace of mind. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Right at Home to anyone.
Many thanks for your feedback, it really helps the team knowing they are making a difference. We look forward to continuing to support your Mum in her home.
I first contacted Right at Home in January 2019 regarding supporting my 85-year-old dad. RAH initially visited only three hours a week but as my father's health declined and after a long spell in hospital they offered intensive home support in June 2019. My dad's health needs were complex and RAH went "the extra mile" liaising with various NHS professionals and often staying at the bungalow for lengthy periods when my dad was clearly unable to meet his basic needs. I always felt that RAH showed a good caring attitude, communicated well and worked well between myself and the NHS services. My father is now in 24/7 nursing care. Yes, I would recommend RAH to anyone who is going through this difficult process as a carer or client.
Thank you for the review and the comments. It was lovely supporting your father and hope he has settled into the nursing home. Regards
These ladies, receive excellent training before attending homes on their own, and the company's plan of sending them out as shadows to an experienced Carer, is, in my opinion, an excellent policy benefiting client and newcomer alike.
Finally, I should like to add that we both look forward to the majority of our caregivers coming, who, almost without exception perform their duties cheerfully with great care
and attention It would be almost impossible not to have made good friends with several of them!
Hi Maurice, thank you for the kind words. We are very pleased to have helped support your wife over the past few years. The care team enjoy visiting and the office team are always appreciative of your support with her scheduling needs. Looking forward to many more years care and support.
Whenever I have to call the office (which can be quite often), whoever answers the phone is very understanding of the situation and always helps as best they can. The same can be said for when Mum phones the office (which is also quite often). I would wholeheartedly recommend Right at Home.
Thank you for the kind words and for taking the time to provide a review. We are very pleased that we can help keep your Mum at home and relieve some of the pressure you face as a family. Thank you again.
I am very happy for Mum to be cared for by Right at Home staff. I have found them to be extremely helpful and thorough in Mum's care. If there are any concerns, a quick phone call is all that's needed. I would definitely be happy to recommend to friends and family.
Thank you for the kind review. Our team is very happy to have supported your Mum for such a long time and to have helped her to remain at home.
By providing caregivers that are a similar age to me and have similar interests, I have found that Right at Home has surpassed my expectations of receiving care in the best way. I feel as though I have made friends throughout my 3 years with the company and feel as though any problems were dealt with in a prompt and understanding manner. I am very grateful for everything, thank you!
Hi Daisy, we are very pleased to have supported you through University, your first experience of living away from home and all the new adventures you had in Derby. The caregivers enjoyed assisting you to access societies and take full advantage of University life. Good luck with your future career. Best wishes, Right at Home.
We have been very impressed with Right at Home who have provided an outstanding quality of service so far. They are well organised and show attention to detail and everyone who we’ve dealt with has been polite and helpful. Likewise, the ongoing accounts, following each care visit, which we can access daily online, are very reassuring and quickly highlight any issues that require attention, keeping us fully informed even though I work long hours. The carers are excellent, going over and above where necessary and my uncle speaks very highly of them. They are thorough and intuitively meet his needs and their caring approach, respect and attention to detail have helped to ease him into the process of care, with which he now feels much more comfortable. This ongoing care has started to give my uncle some of his independence back and he is noticeably more confident. Many thanks Right at Home.
Many thanks for the detailed feedback, it is great to hear that the team are making a difference and improving your Uncle's life. I will ensure that the feedback is shared. Thank You... John
Mum has been very happy with the service provided. She gets on well with the ladies who care for her. Everything she has asked for has been done with a cheerful manner and to a high standard.
Hi, many thanks the feedback. We are pleased that mum is enjoying spending time with her care team. Kind regards.
Excellent service, polite and helpful team all worked hard and carefully.
Thank you for the kind feedback.
I am very happy with the care I have received so far - only a few days so far.
Many thanks for your feedback and comments. We are looking forward to supporting you.
I am quite happy with Right at Home and the care I receive.
Thank you for the feedback. We have enjoyed supporting you for the past 4 years. We are glad you enjoy our Community Lunch Clubs and the care provided by your team.
At first, my father was extremely reticent in having help and so the process was introduced gradually. I feel so much better that we have someone in every day now as I am so far away. Everyone is so helpful when I email or phone.
The team enjoys spending time with your dad. We understand the pressures and challenges you face when you live further away and we are happy that we provide some support to you as well.
They provide a friendly caring service to my husband and myself. They are approachable, answering and questions I may have. The introduction of the Monday lunch club with its activity session is very good. It is well run, giving my husband an opportunity to mix with other people.
Thank you for the review and feedback. It has been a pleasure supporting your husband for the past 4.5 years. We are pleased that our not-for-profit companionship/activity group "Monday Club" provides good stimulus as well as a bit of respite for you. We are looking to expanding and providing more services in the future.
This is the fourth care group we have engaged, having been recommended by our son. We have been more than satisfied. My husband isn't easy as he has dementia, so it is good that the same four carers attend to him. He has got to know them now, it is less confusing. It is the first time he has had a shower every day. His every need is attended to in a friendly way and the bathroom is tidied up and his medication given, then I am asked if there is anything else they can do. It's a brilliant service, and I am always informed if they are running late, but mostly they are on time.
The male care team that we put together for your husband enjoy supporting him and have reported back on the positive improvements he is making.
Thank you again.
The carer we use at the moment is very helpful, polite and hard working. Did an excellent job. We will go back to using the other carers when my husband returns home from a rehabilitation centre where he is receiving rehab exercises and learning to walk with walking aids.
I am very satisfied with the care and the carers.
The best one I have had. So pleased with everything, they are the best.
Many thanks for your kind feedback, we are pleased that you are happy with the service you receive.
All carers very good, friendly and polite so no problems.

John started Right at Home Derby in 2012 after a long and successful career with an industry-leading family-run business.
Taking up the opportunity to spend time in his community, John was elected as a local councillor in Willington.
It was during a community event that John came across an elderly local parishioner who was reliant on care from a contracted provider. The parishioner was looking for help with getting a reliable service provider who would turn up on time, stay for the full time allocated and have some consistency with the care worker they were receiving.
Whilst trying to help the parishioners with their simple request, John realised that their case was not unique and that there were a lot of people who would benefit from a more personalised and quality service.
Working alongside a dedicated care team, he is passionate about delivering quality care to the people of Derbyshire.
John is now an active member promoting choice and personalisation within Derbyshire and Staffordshire and sits on the management committee of Derby Care Association which works to provide support to local providers and to improve the social care sector in Derby.
John is a recognised Dementia Friends and is training to be a local champion. John also supports Royal Derby Hospitals Dementia Action Group and works with local support group Making Space to help support people within Derby and Staffordshire.
The goal of Right at Home (Derby) is simple:
To add years to the lives of your loved ones, but as importantly, to add quality and life to those years.
In practice, this means:
Travelling in our time and not within the customer's allocated time.
Supplying the same friendly home care assistant on each call.
Each call will ideally last for at least 1 hour.
Each call is built on outcome-based activities to improve the quality of life of the individual.
Away from work, John enjoys spending time with his wife and being a permanent taxi driver to his 5 children.

Jo thrives in the positive and collaborative environment at Right at Home Derby. With over seven years of service and continual professional growth, she remains hands-on in the community, performing care calls and maintaining her direct connection with clients, a role she find deeply rewarding.

Jodie began managing the company’s social media accounts, which opened up exciting opportunities to engage with our community in new ways.
By January 2024, Jodie fully transitioned from the recruitment department to her current role as the Digital and Community Marketing Partner for Right at Home Derby and East Staffordshire.
