I always found the carers to be polite, caring and trustworthy, leaving me any bills for shopping or meals mum had paid for and explaining any outgoings in the log book. I was able to read about each day in the log book when I came over from abroad and the office immediately contacted me by email or phone if they had any concerns. This was something which put my mind at rest at such a distance.
Right at Home has been very flexible and understanding of our situation.
The care team are very happy supporting your parents and I am pleased that we are able to provide a flexible and person centred service.
Very friendly and welcoming people. I was grateful for all their help with mum. They even helped me to understand her dementia more.
Many thanks for your feedback and comments. We understand the challenges and strains that dementia can have, not only on the individual but also the family members who help support them. We are pleased we could help you with this.
Staff are very easy to talk to and listen to any concerns we have.
Thank you for the feedback. I attended our anti-isolation group "Monday Club" last week and it was also great to see your Mum mixing with others and enjoying her lunch. She seems to be settling in well with the others in that group. Thanks again for the feedback.
The care that is provided for our mum is always person-centred and of a high standard. In addition, the quality of notes that the carers provide is a good standard and is really helpful in coordinating care services. The carers are always very kind and sensitive towards Mum.
Thank you for the kind feedback. The carers have enjoyed supporting your Mum and helping her to stay at home for as long as possible.
Most notably cleanliness, punctuality, bonding with my husband, politeness and helpfulness.
My husband and I are very pleased with the care they provide.
Your team are very happy to help support your husband. Thank you for the kind comments and feedback.
Very satisfied with the care given to my husband.
Thank you for your comments, your care team have enjoyed helping to support you over the last 3 years and are looking forward to many more to come.
We are quite happy with the care given. My husband seems happy also.
They are efficient in the work they do and are very helpful.
We are very pleased to have supported you for the past couple of years and to provide you (based on your core care team availability) with the flexibility you require to change and amend your call times. We hope to help provide the support for many more years to come.
My husband has dementia and Right at Home (Derby) supported him until he had to go into a nursing home. I cannot fault the care he was given and they helped him to stay at home for as long as possible.
Hi Gail, we were pleased to help support your husband. I know from when I took him out how much he enjoyed his walks and spending time with his care team. We hope he settles in well to his nursing home. Please let us know if we can assist at any point in the future.
Very pleased with the service and care provided. Care manager helpful and supportive. Always respond in a timely manner. Always willing to help and address any issues.
We are glad we are able to help support your Mum.
Having recently moved to the Derby area from Kent. I found Right at Home through a Google search. When they first attended and throughout the care, the carers were very good, showed respect towards dad. The care they gave was very good and allowed me to have some time for myself, whilst they completed personal care. They continued this care through to the end. Listened to my needs and mostly supported this. Many thanks.
I know that the carers enjoyed spending time with your dad and looking after him.
We are pleased this allowed you some time for yourself.
I am very satisfied with all the care and attention I receive from the above organisation.
Your team are happy that you are pleased with the support and that they were able to signpost you to some suitable pressure cushions.
My husbands carer who comes twice a week an hour each time is excellent. He plays chess, bridge and other card games with my husband, and if my husband is tired and doesn't want to play he will read to him scientific or medical articles of interest to him. He is extremely intelligent, kind and caring. He also helps me if when he arrives I am tending to my husbands needs. He is excellent value for money and I don't know how he could be replaced if he leaves the agency.
Thank you for the kind words. We are very pleased that we were able to match your husband's interests with one of our care givers. I know from speaking with the carer that they enjoy spending time together.
An excellent home care agency where the staff at all levels really do care about their clients. An extremely attentive coordinator ensured that I was not only physically supported but emotionally too, through some difficult experiences and intervened personally on my behalf to contact personnel of other professions when necessary. A recently appointed team leader was also helpful. When the occasion arose, those in supervisory capacities were willing and able to work at a practical level thus giving themselves a true understanding of the needs of their clients. Telephone calls at all times were answered and office staff were polite and helpful. There were a few minor errors concerning invoices which were rectified when reported, similarly some communication problems were taken seriously. Without exception all the carers were pleasant and efficient.
We are pleased that we were able to help you get some additional funding and also some household aids which have allowed you to live independently.

John started Right at Home Derby in 2012 after a long and successful career with an industry-leading family-run business.
Taking up the opportunity to spend time in his community, John was elected as a local councillor in Willington.
It was during a community event that John came across an elderly local parishioner who was reliant on care from a contracted provider. The parishioner was looking for help with getting a reliable service provider who would turn up on time, stay for the full time allocated and have some consistency with the care worker they were receiving.
Whilst trying to help the parishioners with their simple request, John realised that their case was not unique and that there were a lot of people who would benefit from a more personalised and quality service.
Working alongside a dedicated care team, he is passionate about delivering quality care to the people of Derbyshire.
John is now an active member promoting choice and personalisation within Derbyshire and Staffordshire and sits on the management committee of Derby Care Association which works to provide support to local providers and to improve the social care sector in Derby.
John is a recognised Dementia Friends and is training to be a local champion. John also supports Royal Derby Hospitals Dementia Action Group and works with local support group Making Space to help support people within Derby and Staffordshire.
The goal of Right at Home (Derby) is simple:
To add years to the lives of your loved ones, but as importantly, to add quality and life to those years.
In practice, this means:
Travelling in our time and not within the customer's allocated time.
Supplying the same friendly home care assistant on each call.
Each call will ideally last for at least 1 hour.
Each call is built on outcome-based activities to improve the quality of life of the individual.
Away from work, John enjoys spending time with his wife and being a permanent taxi driver to his 5 children.

Jo thrives in the positive and collaborative environment at Right at Home Derby. With over seven years of service and continual professional growth, she remains hands-on in the community, performing care calls and maintaining her direct connection with clients, a role she find deeply rewarding.

Jodie began managing the company’s social media accounts, which opened up exciting opportunities to engage with our community in new ways.
By January 2024, Jodie fully transitioned from the recruitment department to her current role as the Digital and Community Marketing Partner for Right at Home Derby and East Staffordshire.
