Even though I have only used Home Instead for 4 weeks, the carers and management have been extremely sympathetic to my wife's requirements and needs. They have been very informative of any ranges that have been made to schedules and I am always made aware if there have been any issues. The carers and
management always come across as professional and very friendly which really helps when it comes to caring for my wife.

Very happy with the service provided and the staff involved. The carer they have given us is beyond excellent, caring and genuinely enjoys working with my dad. He trusts her completely and we are very confident in her abilities. The office staff give us all the information we need regarding schedules
and holidays etc. well in advance so we are able to respond accordingly. Thank you all very much for treating my dad with dignity and care.

A thoroughly professional service from all care staff, to the point that I have no hesitation in recommending Home Instead as a care provider. There was always an opportunity to contact them if the need arose, with a satisfactory outcome.

I have used Home Instead for the past 5 months and from the initial contact, I have been extremely satisfied with the care and professionalism they have shown me and my family. The two caregivers that I have are like a breath of fresh air and just what I needed to help me return home and regain my confidence.
All of the administration staff are just as professional and nothing is too much trouble for anyone in the company.

The carers are very friendly and attentive and always pleased to do what I want. Timekeeping is always excellent and with an up to date rota every fortnight I know who is coming, which is very important to me. The office staff are very supportive and quick to sort out any issues that arise.

We use Home Instead at home in Stockport. When away, we use caregivers from the local office to either a hotel or to our motorhome on a campsite. This is a little known but excellent service. Our latest holiday was to the Grand Atlantic Hotel, Weston-super-Mare. The organisation prior to the holiday
was helpful, efficient and pleasant. The contract arrangements done on arrival went smoothly. We had a caregiver on arrival, in the mornings and evenings. She was kind, helpful and very gentle with my wife. Home Instead enable us to go away and have great holidays.

My husband and I are the only family members available to care for my grandmother. Home Instead provide me with a first class service. They take the weight off our shoulders which means I get time to relax and spend time with our children. It took a lot of time for me to trust a carer to look after
Gran and I'm sure I must have driven them nuts with my endless instructions! but they were so kind, helpful and patient.
I love that Gran has only a few carers, so a great continuity of care. They know her so well that I really don't have to worry any more. I would recommend them to anyone. I can't thank them enough for looking after both my Gran and my immediate family too.

My wife has 5 girls that all do a good job, but the girl that comes in Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and every other Saturday is excellent and goes above and beyond. Always leaving my wife in a good mood.

My partner and I have a motorhome, so during normal circumstances, we’re normally away most weekends. If we’re not away and the weather is nice I spend a huge amount of time in the garden, gardening. I have a large family & love to spend time with my Nan who is one of my favourite people, this is what inspired me to work for a company like Home Instead & it is so amazing to be part of something much bigger than me & to make a difference to someone’s life.

My name is Sam and I’m a Team Leader.


I was born and raised on the Isle of Wight with my sister and twin brother. When I left school, I took up a 3 year course at college for landscape gardening which I really enjoyed doing and being outdoors. Then I worked for 2 Harvester restaurants as part of the management team in Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire. I moved back to the Isle of Wight and that's when I came across care, I worked for 2 care companies, but I had to stop after my motorbike accident back in 2015. When I was able to go back to work, I moved back to Hertfordshire and started to work for Home Instead in Hemel Hempstead as a care coordinator.


I then moved to Sampford Courtenay and lived there for 4 years, but I also worked for the Tavistock Home Instead office where I was the On Call Manager and Scheduler for 3 & a half years.


Care is a job that I enjoy doing to help and support anyone who needs people like us and find the job very rewarding. I speak to our clients and Care Professionals every day, asking how their day has been and lots more, it is so lovely to hear stories from clients and what they enjoy doing.


The training and support that I got from Home Instead over the 6 years have been amazing, they are always willing to go that extra mile no matter what and working with the office team and care professionals have also been really supportive.
