At 95/96 my Mum was in need of help - mainly help with the shopping and getting out and about. I contacted Home Instead and they came out to meet Mum and discuss her needs. We settled on 2 hours twice a week.

What I liked most about Home Instead was that for the majority of the time, it would be the same person calling which meant bonds and trust could be formed.

The carers became more than carers, they became good friends to my Mum and from my point of view knowing my Mum was being taken care of was a real help and relief.

Special call out to Jem and Carry-Ann who currently call on Mum as she really looks forward to their visits, but from the people in the office to the carers themselves, they are all brilliant.

Looking back over the years, Home Instead have been a constant in my Mums life at a time when she needed stability and help. If anyone is thinking of engaging with Home Instead, do it, you will not be disappointed.

Care provided for my father has been excellent, going above and beyond when he got admitted to hospital and a stroke unit they visited even though it was out of their area. Good friends have been made and they got my father talking more. It wasn't only the care that was excellent, the companionship and nothing was too much trouble.

Thank you so much for the care you provided before by father passed away. The support after has been great too!

Home Instead provides an excellent service. We have a consistent carer who is always punctual and never lets us down. Home Instead answered that our requirements were all met and a lovely carer was carefully interacted to our dad. We have now used the service for two years and cannot recommend Home Instead enough.

Our experience so far has been very good. We particularly like the fact that there isn't too many different carers supporting Mum.
We also like how responsive the team is to our suggestions & any changes.

The system helps us keep on track of what happens at each visit. Our main concern is Mum's well being & keeping her nourished.

Home Instead have been professional, compassionate and caring from the outset of our journey, while being relatively new it is all that I wanted for my daughter. The carers have been chosen carefully for their qualities to be able to interact and show care for my daughter. I can ring up at any time and be listened to by the team and given reassurance and shown kindness which meant a lot to me.

Home Instead has been caring for my cousin and her husband since October 24. I am their only close relative but don't live in Sheffield, but some distance away in Gloucestershire, so I have been very reliant on Home Instead's care and communication. The carers that have carried out the visits are clearly well trained and have been able to deal with dementia problems that they both have, and my cousin (aged 90) and her husband (aged 87) get on well with them. There was a certain amount of resistance early on, which is normal I understand, but the carers handled that well. What is most useful is to have direct online access to the carers' notes which can be read immediately after a visit. Very satisfied overall

I was recommended to try Home Instead when I was looking for a care provider for my dad.
I have been blown away by the level of care and support they are giving.
So much attention was given to matching the right carers for dad, even finding a lovely carer who shares dad's passion for painting!
I love having the portal so I can see who has been to see dad, and if there are any issues on that visit.
Even during dad's recent stay in hospital, they managed to arrange for carers to visit dad, which he very much appreciated.

All the staff are lovely, professional and approachable. Always at the end of the phone whenever I need them.

My mum has received excellent care from the care team. Everyone is very professional, caring and willing to do anything to help. The team are always available to help and change the requirements we may need. All the carers have made an effort to get to know my mum and her needs. Taking her out and about when the weather is fit. They are always friendly and support me and my family.

Home Instead have provided care twice a day for my mother for the past 2 years until she passed away recently.

The carers have been extreme caring and helpful and often went above and beyond, my mother had become very fond of them.

They also were caring to me and very supportive. They made a massive difference to my life as I did not have to worry about my mother so much or be there as often, especially as I didn't live locally.

I cannot thank them enough for their outstanding service and will be forever grateful.
