All the carers who attended my wife were extremely pleasant and made their visits so enjoyable as possible for my wife. People working in the office were very pleasant to deal with and gave good advice when needed. All in all, a very good company to deal with.
Home Instead Senior Care (North Sheffield) provide an excellent service. From the first assessment of a clients needs to match them with suitable and experienced carers. Mum's carer was always punctual and reliable, friendly and supportive to both mum and dad. We always feel confident to leave mum and dad into their capable hands. Thank you.
Very good.
All caregivers are reliable, punctual and once the essential jobs are out of the way, most caregivers will look for any other tasks to do within their allocated time - suggesting vacuuming stairs or wiping out the fridge.
Support with care, flexibilty and common sense.
Our carer is very jolly and happy and this rubs off on Mum. They have a good laugh and chat about things and Mum very much looks forward to the visits.
We have found Home Instead to be very efficient and helpful. We are extremely satisfied with our carer. My husband is entirely at ease with her, and we consider ourselves very fortunate to have her as our carer.
We were looking for some companionship help for my mother who is 85 and has Alzheimer's. She cannot get out on her own and there are days we are not able to call on her. Home Instead visit twice a week on those days and usually take her out for a drive. She really looks forward to those days and her mood has picked up considerably in the months they have been coming. I cannot speak highly enough about the way she has been treated and looked after.
Also good assessment by team leaders at yearly intervals. I feel this is a good "care" team Home Instead!
I gave the staff in the office a mixed report. The officer who is in charge of organising care I gave an excellent. She does an extremely difficult job to 100%.
The others I gave as good, while me a satisfactory.
I suggested that there are too many fingers in one pie. What I feel is needed is for the care organisers to have one very good, able person to train in exactly what needs to be done so that they can step in and carry on smoothly, rather than having less able people all trying to do the job.
I also suggested that the recent change to not ringing clients to ask about cover, but instead expecting them to ring in to cancel or be changed at the holiday rate was a retrogressive move.
It would also help if the office routinely let clients know of changes to their carer cover - easier to plan ahead for meals etc.
We started to use the services of Home Instead Senior Care (North Sheffield) in June 2017 and had a member of staff attending 3 times a week for a 2-hour slot to shower and dress my husband and help him into his reclining chair. They would sit and chat to him, make him a drink and were very caring.
His health condition has changed recently and we still have a member of their staff coming in twice a week as extra back-up to carers who are currently coming in 4 times a day.
Very supportive and professional.
All dads carers are very good and support dad well. Dads words "They are lovely and very efficient." We can rely on Home Instead - always on time, we know someone will be there with dad to help him in the shower, nothing seems too much trouble for his carers. Dad has a small team of regulars which makes all the difference (unlike other large care companies where as many as 20 different carers may call, which can be very unsettling for most people.)
I am very pleased with the two ladies who help me. I find them very cheerful, clean and kind.
Bit expensive at £22 per hour.
Excellent service all round.
Been with us since December 2013 and if a different caregiver is coming they are always introduced, and at 95 years it is nice to know who is coming.
It is also reassuring to know that in an emergency they are available to help me out.
Very good and appreciate that everyone is nice to me.
Reliable, friendly and professional support received.
Very kind person. She's there when I need someone to talk, she makes me laugh and they make me feel confident in all I do. They help me when I get in a muddle. They are really cheerful, light up a visit with them, also they give lots of good advice.
