We recently switched to Bluebird and the difference has been remarkable. The team are incredibly caring, friendly and consistently professional. They made what could have been a difficult change feel smooth and reassuring and the transition from our previous provider was handled with great care and sensitivity. It is clear that the carers genuinely care about the people they support and this has made a very positive difference to our family. Overall Experience

The care and attention that my mother received from Bluebird was always good over a period of several years. In due course, the main carer really became more of a friend to my mother than a carer. Further, whenever I phoned the office, I always managed quickly to get through to one of the managers; they were always on top of things and I felt that I was in good hands.

When my wife - who is also my primary carer - had a seriou8s accident and was suddenly unable to support me, we found ourselves in an extremely difficult and uncertain situation. Bluebird stepped in at a moment when we needed reliable, compassionate help and they exceeded every expectation.The management team were outstanding from the very first phone call: organised, reassuring and quick to put an effective plan in place. Their communication was clear and thoughtful throughout and it was obvious that they take great pride in delivering a high standard of care.

The staff they provided were exceptional. Every carer was cheerful, punctual and genuinely willing to help with whatever was needed. They prepared our breakfasts and lunches, handled household tasks such as loading the dishwasher and managing the washing machine and their kindness and reliability made an enormous difference at a difficult time for us -- we would not hesitate to recommend Bluebird to anyone in need.

This review relates to the total time that we used the services of Bluebird which is about 2 years. Its people that make the difference and its fair to say that all the carers that looked after my cousin were a cut above.

The communication was excellent and their ability to assess accurately a change in condition and respond accordingly in professional and competent manor demonstrating a high standard of personalised care was first class.

Overall Experience
Our carers have always arrived at the appointed times and have invariably been cheerful on arrival. Although we have had several different pairs of carers, they have all worked well together and have quickly got to grips with what is required.
They are enthusiastic and encouraging, helping my husband to tackle some tasks himself and making both of us feel more positive about our situation.

We have found all the carers to be friendly and focused on using their time with us to the full.

I engaged Bluebird Care to help my mother remain in her home. My mother is very happy and really likes all the ladies who have been supporting her in her home. The carers I have met are genuinely nice, empathetic and engaging people. I would just like thank them for their support in caring for my mother. Overall Experience

Bluebird Care Sunderland provided Live in Care for my Dad as an alternative to a Care Home. I was extremely happy with the care provided, knowing that my Dad was looked after to the highest standard, with carers who knew him and his needs so well and where he was happy and content. Bluebird allowed my Dad to stay in the comfort of his own home with dignity until the end, which we couldn't be more thankful for.

Overall Experience

Outstanding care for my mother which enabled her to remain in her own home rather than a residential care home. Care assistants were always compassionate and understanding. I had full trust in what they were doing and that they were giving my mother the care needed. My mother built up good friendships with the care team. Office staff all so helpful and requests for changes in care provision were always sorted.

Overall Experience

As we had regular staff who became aware of my husband's health they were able to see his deterioration and offer extra support to him and advice to me. Despite his failing mental health, he was always treated with respect and dignity to which I was immensely grateful. The administrators were always helpful in adjusting the times of visits when necessary and ready to listen to me.

We have had Bluebird Care coming to pop in and check on my Dad (and Mum) for around 6 months now as my Dad has dementia and has started wandering and refusing to take medication from family members.
He looks forward to their nightly visits and will always have his meds when directed, which used to be a flashpoint in the past. The carers then prompt Mum to lock up the house as they leave, which had worked to keep Dad from straying at night.
I can't recommend the service highly enough, from the carers who are all lovely people and genuinely want to do the best for their clients, to the admin team, who couldn't be more helpful and will come up with the best solution for any issue you're having.

Thanks so much Bluebird, you've managed to keep my parents living together in the home they love for longer than we thought would be possible. Your service is worth its weight in gold.

From first introductory meeting with Bluebird Care through our fifteen month journey with your team, I have been so impressed. Your kind and clear approach to developing and reviewing my friend's care plan alongside him, his partner and significant others was great.
The direct caregivers were fantastic - thorough, creative and tender. There were many laughs with my friend and his partner that they so appreciated. They were particularly fond of regular carers with easy local and shared interest chats whilst carer seamlessly integrated attending to intimate care etc.

Personally, I am thankful to your carers, admin and supervisors for their patience and kindness to me in trying to negotiate what felt, at times, like the impossible path of trying to support loved ones maintain their independence as far as possible and respecting their wishes whilst needs and risks were increasing.

Always very pleased with the excellent service provided by my Bluebird Care carer. Always on time and delivered a thorough job with a very pleasant attitude and caring manner. Carer was always cheerful and a pleasure to have in my home. I look forward to her visits as we have a laugh together every visit and my house is left clean and bright and just the way I like it.

Overall Experience

From my first enquiry to Bluebird Care regarding help for my parents, we were treated with kindness and respect. We began with a gentle approach of weekly cleaning help only with a view to moving on to more frequent visits for care and support. My parents were very impressed with the quality of the cleaning service provided and they were very comfortable having the ladies in the house. I am sure we would have progressed to more frequent care, not only cleaning but my parents are moving to be nearer us.

Overall Experience

Through the care of Bluebird Care carers, plus friends and towards the end, help from community nurses, MacMillan carers and Marie Curie nurses, one of my best friends was able to remain in her own home and died peacefully on 3rd April. Bluebird Care provided a skilled and friendly team to look after her personal care, health support and nutrition in the last few weeks of her life. They were able to provide extra hours of support when it was needed later in her care. Prior to that, they had helped her to settle back into her own home after a short period in respite care. All the carers worked in a discrete, professional and friendly manner. Help was at the end of the phone, even out of hours. Communication was excellent between carers, the office, myself and my friend. The carers liaised well with community nurses. We couldn't have managed without them. Excellent.
