Right at Home has an amazing care team (rated Outstanding by the CQC in January 2022) of Home Care Assistants, Live in Care Assistants and a fabulous office team. They work hard to find the best people and, in order to hang on to them, need to make sure they are happy in their jobs.

The managing director asserts that gone are the days of care work being a dead end, minimum wage job. Carers are amazing people and Right at Home puts a lot of effort into finding the right people, with the emotional intelligence and empathy, to be able to become a great carer. They then receive the full support of Right at Home's management team to develop their careers if that is what they wish to do.

Right at Home has developed a framework to support the whole team in their efforts to be fantastic at what they do. This friendly, award-winning, local home care company has a great variety of people working in their team with one thing in common; they are all great at building relationships with others.

The company has met our needs from "day one". Always pleasant and available. Staff go the "extra mile" to help make life easier for myself (husband and main carer) and my wife.

Having care put in place to help me wasn't for me to accept. But I could not be without them now. They are really helpful and brighten my day. This means I can stay living in my own home.

Our experience since approaching Right at Home to help care for our elderly and terminally ill mother has been excellent. Their staff are compassionate and go the extra mile. The management has been attentive and proactive in adapting to her changing condition. I would have no hesitation in recommending
Right at Home.

My sight is going, so I have a live-in carer. She helps me with all sorts of things, from cooking to gardening. I would not be able to stay in my own home without her.

The two carers we use on a monthly rotation (live-in) have both developed great empathy with my wife and go the extra mile in interpreting and meeting here care needs. They have fitted in extremely well with our home, and receive excellent back-up from Right at Home. This has been very important during
COVID, not only with the provision of PPE etc but also arranging vaccinations for them. We would not hesitate to recommend Right at Home to others.

I have been with Right at Home for two years now and am very satisfied with the service. My wife can be challenging at times but they treat her with dignity and respect and most of all kindness. I also get the continuity of care I was looking for when I was looking for an agency to help me. Overall
it is a great service.

Seemingly against all the odds, our two neighbours have enjoyed a new lease of life thanks to their care package. One looked unlikely ever to leave hospital, and the other was living alone and struggling to cope with life. Four months on they are in their home, much happier than they were or would
have been had they transferred to a care home. This chapter of life is not an easy one but this has been a far better, practical solution that has vastly improved their quality of life.

Right at Home are good on communication which I believe to be very important in a care situation. They have kept me informed about the carers on-site and their names and experience and when and who is involved in changeovers. I have found them very helpful when talking through real or imagined problems
and have really appreciated their advice, nothing seems to be too much trouble.

Has enabled my friends to remain in their own home, which was absolutely what they wanted most of all. The care is individualised to suit them and means they can have the flexibility of doing what they want to when they want to, not to fit in with other residents (as is the case in a care home).

Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.800)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.800) out of 10 for Right at Home Sutton & Mid-Surrey is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 8 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.8 out of 5 from 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 5.000 for Right at Home Sutton & Mid-Surrey is calculated as follows: ( (48 Excellents x 5) ) ÷ 48 Ratings = 5
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

    The 5 points available are broken down as follows: 3 points for the first Positive Review, 2 points in total for each of the next 9 Positive Reviews (1st = 3, 2nd = 0.5, 3rd = 0.5, 4th = 0.25, 5th = 0.25, 6th = 0.1, 7th = 0.1, 8th = 0.1, 9th = 0.1, 10th = 0.1)

    The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for Right at Home Sutton & Mid-Surrey is based on 8 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 4.8
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Home Care Provider does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
