First class support is given three times daily to a very elderly Aunt and before that to our Late Uncle. The support given is exemplary across the entire organisation from individual carers to the centralised office administration staff. All carers are very highly trained and the office administration structure is totally proactive and organised. Of particular note is the real time centralised database which ensures that all carers' smart phones are updated simultaneously to ensure the most up-to-date information is held on their clients. Would very highly recommend
Thank you very much for this very kind and positive review, Peter. As well as recognising our Outstanding carers, thank you for also acknowledging the key role of our office team and the ways that technology enhances the quality of our care. I really appreciate everything you've said and will b sure to share it with the whole team.
The staff at Right at Home were all very helpful and understanding of my needs. The carers were on time and worked the hours required on a couple of occasions when they were delayed because of traffic. The office rang to inform us. I would recommend Right at Home.
Thank you very much for sharing how you felt about your carers. I will make sure your kind words are passed on to all involved with your care.
Over the last 18 months up until October 2025, my dear Daddy was visited daily by one of the lovely team. I was fortunate to have met many of them on my visits, and they were all super wonderful and professional individuals. They were always caring and helpful as well as hard-working - I was continually surprised as to how much they could get done in 30 minutes!
I really don't know how I would have coped without their support, and it was so comforting to me to know that he was being visited on a regular basis, and that they would report back to me if they had any concerns or if they needed to update me on various issues.
All the carers are worth their weight in gold and I would recommend them to anyone who is seeking some help and support for their loved one.
Thank you RAH team for all that you have done for my dear Daddy.
With much love and gratitude, Sarah xxx
We always aim that our support will help family members cope with the commitments that the care needs of their loved ones bring. Thank you for your lovely supportive words, Sarah. They mean a lot to us and will be shared with all who supported your Daddy.
I would like to thank very much for the lovely kind and caring Carers, from 'Right At Home' who helped my Husband for a short while. They made him laugh and become independent again. He in turn made the ladies laugh too!! We would not hesitate to ask for the same Ladies again and we would certainly recommend this Company to everyone. Thanking you very much again.
Thank you for your very kind words. They really do mean a lot. We don't just aim to support our clients, we always aim to make them as independent as possible too and I'm glad we were able to do this.
So the team, have supported clients and family.
More often than not, going over and above expectations.
I myself, along with the family, would highly recommend Right at Home as all round support. Out of hours communication, was a real comfort. As family all live a distance away.
The dedication of staff to clients and their individual needs. Was a true godsend.
Thank you all.
Thank you for your kind review. We always aim to provide the all round support that you describe and I'm glad you felt our service exceeded your expectations. I will pass your kind words on to all involved in your Mother and Step Father's care.
The amount of care provided by the selected few ladies was brilliant, even under some extremely difficult events brought about by the husband's needs and demands.
The flat was always clean and tidy, washing always done, meals prepared to their requests. After mum was put into permanent care, the staff still covered his care and needs extremely well. Giving him time to talk and be listened to.
Thank you very much for your generous review, Wendy. I will make sure your kind words are shared with the 'selected few ladies' who supported your mother and husband.
Aunt and Uncle have received care from Right at Home for over two years starting with daily domiciliary care and more recently live-in care. They were quite reluctant to accept care at first but the carers throughout have been kind, patient, empathetic and happy to take things at a gentle pace - absolutely nothing is too much trouble so as a result they have now accepted the care and are far more relaxed about everything. The attention to detail has been second to none, notifying us if anything is needed so our regular visits to Aunt and Uncle have been just that visits - enjoying one another's company instead of racing around trying to sort things out. We can see on our visits that they, and their home, are clean and tidy and very well cared for. A huge thank you to the whole team for your dedication to providing the very best of care to Aunt and Uncle.
Thank you for your very kind review. This is exactly how we aim to support all our clients especially when our support takes worry and admin out of the hands of families enabling them to enjoy time together rather than, as you say, 'trying to sort things out'. This is a lovely tribute, thank you again, and I will make sure it is shared with all involved in your Aunt and Uncle's care.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Right at Home. A reliable company who you can depend on to give the best care possible to your nearest and dearest.
Many of the carers were more like friends. Mum was very sad that circumstances dictated that we had to part company. It was not through choice. Thank you Right at Home. You were superb!
Thank you for sharing this very generous review of our services and for recommending us. Everyone in Right at Home aims always to go above and beyond whatever the circumstances and I'm glad you felt we did this for your Mum.
RAH Bournemouth started providing companion care for my 90 year old mother in January 2025 - she was not in a good place mentally when she came to stay with us at Christmas despite always sounding cheerful when I rang her or went to see her. There is always a concern about a person being introduced to the home when an elderly person lives on their own. I was impressed that RAH use psychometric testing which allows them to ensure that the carers they employ are properly suitable for the job. This has proved invaluable in matching the right carers to my mother & whilst Mum was very apprehensive she now really enjoys their daily visits. They take her out for a walk, do some cleaning, when she wasn't well they made sure she had food/drink, and have accommodated taking her for appointments. We know that we are able to ask for additional help when needed. Their care & understanding of Mum gives huge peace of mind to both me (living 2 hours away) & my sister who lives in America.
Thank you very much for taking the time to give us this kind and positive review. As I'm really glad you've identified, we always aim to provide support and reassurance not just to our clients who receive our care but also to their loved ones.
During our parents care we needed to adjust their care plans several times, and at short notice. Every time Right at Home accommodated my parents increase in need immediately and without any fuss which was such a great support. They took such expert care of our parents, and they have both loved their daily visits!
I can't express how much both my brother and I appreciated their dedicated hard work which was always delivered with a smile and the upmost care!
Thank you for such a comprehensive and generous review. We aim to provide, as you describe it, expert and responsive care with a smile to all our clients and I'm so glad we were able to make a difference not only for your parents but also for you and the wider family. We all loved visiting your parents and wish them the very best for the future.
Needs are always discussed and support and ideas given on how to improve his quality of life , they are the best rating for a really good reason , I cannot recommend them enough for anyone needing support with a family member
My brother says his care people are really lovely and we as a family are very happy with the care he receives
Thank you for this really uplifting review about what your brother and our outstanding CareGivers have been able to achieve together. I am so glad that our professional care has contributed to your brother having fewer hospital admissions. We all enjoy visiting your brother and I will share your very kind words with all involved.
Very good, best servers I've had.
Thank you very much for this very kind review. We always aim to be the best for all our clients and I'm so glad our amazing team has been that for you.
The team at Right at Home Bournemouth & Poole supported my wife and myself with care for my father-in-law for several months in at the end of 2024. Twice-daily visits were conducted professionally and with good humour, it was a pleasure to welcome the carers into our home to take a load from our shoulders for a couple of hours a day. Whether it was cleaning bottles, making sandwiches or simply having a chat the team were great. The company's systems and the management team's responsiveness (to SMS or calls) just fed the overall feeling that we were in safe hands. I cannot compliment them highly enough nor can I recommend them more than I do to others in the same situation as ourselves.
Thank you very much for taking the time to leave such positive feedback. Supportive words such as yours mean a lot to the team and I will pass them on to all involved in your father-in-law's care. I am so glad that our systems worked for you too. Being able to present our care notes in an easily accessible way to our clients and their families is a key part of the care we provide.
My fiercely independent aunt has dementia and needed support with personal care and daily living (even though in my aunt's view she was perfectly fine, was refusing support from family and didn't want strangers in her home). Right at Home provided a core team of carers that developed a relationship with my aunt and we couldn't have asked for a better group of professionals. Everyone has been amazing, introducing themselves slowly to my aunt, gaining her trust and gradually helping her with personal care and daily support. We have always felt confident that my aunt was being cared for with kindness, patience and compassion, even on the days when her behaviour was more challenging. As her needs increased, Right at Home were able to increase the frequency of their visits, taking on more tasks and offering suggestions to improve the quality of my aunt's life. The whole team really has gone 'above and beyond', nothing has been too much trouble and a simple thank you is not nearly enough.
Thank you for your kind and insightful review. This is exactly how we approach care for any of the people we support and I am really pleased that we were able to make such a difference to your aunt's life at home.
I am very happy with all my carers. They are my family.
We couldn't ask for a greater accolade than this. Thank you.
Right at Home have provided my mum with top-class care. They are supportive to both physical and emotional needs. They are respectful and encouraging of independence where possible. My mum looks forward to seeing her carers and has regained her confidence. It has been a huge relief to our family to know that our mum is getting such good care. The office staff are responsive and communicative. We would highly recommend Right at Home for anyone looking for professional care for their loved ones.
Thank you for your really positive review, Lucille. As well as helping the people we support, we always aim to re-establish their independence as much as possible. I really appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts and I will pass them on to all involved in supporting your mum.
Mum was, needless to say, apprehensive about having 'strangers' coming into her home however she embraced the whole idea very quickly and looked forward to seeing her ladies. She always had a story to tell me about her visit and the carer's tales.
Over the latter years, as Mum became more fragile, I increased my time with her but was always confident that Right at Home would step in when needed.
They certainly did so when my family had an unexpected death and I needed support. They did not hesitate to accommodate me with an urgent visit to Mum.
I cannot recommend the company and their lovely carers, highly enough. They've helped Mum, been kind and respectful to her and, in turn, helped me.
If you're looking for kind and compassionate care for your loved one. These are the people!
Thank you for your incredibly kind words. They mean a massive amount and I will be sharing them with all our carers this evening in our weekly memo. I know they will be really heartened by what you've said. I'm so glad we made a difference not only to your mum but also to you and your family.
Right at Home have provided care in our home for three years to my husband who has Alzheimer's. This has allowed me time to shop, spend time with the family, knowing not only was he well looked after, but was safe and able to enjoy life by focusing on the few activities he was able to engage in. Listening to music, going out to coffee, watching his favourite films. Right at Home regularly reviewed his needs and we were very pleased with the support that my husband received.
Thank you for your very kind and supportive words, Angela. We always aim not only to support the care recipient but also to give their loved ones time to undertake other activities. I will ensure your comments are passed on to all who supported your husband.
Genuinely caring and always flexible and prepared to make extra visits when necessary or help out with shopping trips, prescription collections and GP visits. Also, made visits to see my relative when they were in hospital.
Thank you for your supportive review. I will pass your kind comments on to all who provided care to your uncle.
My sister and I were given the name of Right at Home (Bournemouth and Poole) by our previous care firm, who could no longer look after my father due to a reduction in staff. This company is more expensive, but overall more professional, with agreed tasks and timings for visits. Impressed that the carers always stayed the full allocated times. Small things meant a lot. When my father had been in contact with me two days before I went down with Covid, they immediately visited him and checked him for Covid, which took them over their normal time slot. Also, the main thing for me was the way they took a personal interest in him and his painting hobby. They always treated him with dignity and spoke to him kindly. He had absolutely no objection to any of the carers and enjoyed the brief chats which broke up his day. He was well cared for from August 2022 to April 2023 when he had a fall and sadly entered a care home.
Thank you for your lovely review, Chrissie. We are all going to really miss seeing your father. We wish him all the best and hope he continues his painting in his new home.

Meet the Team (1)
Right from the launch of Right at Home Bournemouth and Poole in September 2012, Andrew was driven by a determination to develop a service that would support clients as he would want to be supported himself in similar circumstances. The Right at Home team takes the time and trouble to select a close-knit team, recruiting only those people whose dedication to delivering compassionate and reliable care matches their own.
Andrew is acutely aware that families need the highest levels of reassurance that their loved one’s quality of life is not only being maintained but actually being improved. Work schedules are arranged so that Right at Home carers have time for their clients. As Andrew says, “The high-quality service that characterises Right at Home will enhance our clients’ day-to-day living and give peace of mind to their dependants because our carers are punctual, consistent and do not rush the service they provide.” Andrew opened his business after seventeen years of commissioned military service. The qualities of selfless commitment, integrity and respect for others that the British Army develops in its leaders are precisely the qualities needed for his role in this new venture. Andrew lives in Bournemouth and enjoys a happy family life with his wife, young daughter, two cats and a Maltipoo called Charlie. Previously, he immersed himself in the local community by taking on voluntary work both with the Royal Voluntary Society (formerly the WRVS but now including men) delivering library books to the housebound and with the Friends of Christchurch Hospital helping people find their way around the hospital whilst hoping not to get lost himself! Although he no longer undertakes these roles, he remains active with the Alzheimer’s Society and the Dementia Action Alliance. Andrew finds his voluntary work invaluable in keeping him in touch with what older people and those who have to depend on others for help really want and need.
During the pandemic, Andrew took on the role of chair of the Dorset Home Care Providers Association and in this role was able to advise the local authority and local NHS on measures to support both carers and those receiving care across the county.
