I'm the nearest child and we are 125 miles away so I always feared Dad would die at home alone, especially during the current pandemic. Not so. One of his principal carers on a scheduled call, rang me to say he seemed to be slipping away and said she wasn't going to leave him. That was typical and - because of her initiative - we were able to be with him when he died comfortably and peacefully a few hours later.
Your words mean more than I can really say here, thank you Robin. What you've written sums up what our amazing carers always try to achieve. Your Dad was very dear to all who supported him.
The team of carers were fantastic. They went over and above the line of duty and nothing was too much trouble for our auntie. My sister and myself live quite a distance away and the carers kept us in the loop at all times. We were able to trust absolutely that she had the greatest care and that the final weeks were calm and comfortable for her. We cannot say enough how lovely and helpful they were. They were not only carers for my aunt as she considered them to be friends. It made all the difference to her having them look after her.
Thank you for your very kind words. We knew your wonderful auntie for nearly six and a half years and all her carers will really appreciate hearing the difference they made for her.
Right at Home carers have been calling on us to attend to my wife's personal needs since April 2017 and we only stopped in August because it had become clear that I could no longer handle the transfers between chairs, commode and bed safely. She has Parkinson's disease and now requires full-time professional care and she has had to move into a care home. I cannot speak too highly of the staff who looked after her, without their assistance she would have been in care months ago and our whole family are very much indebted to them. My son and daughter and I were delighted to learn that several of the carers had visited my wife in the care home and I know it meant a lot to her - they had become friends of the family.
We're delighted to have been able to make such a difference. Your kind words mean so much to us, thank you.
The agency provided carers for my wife, who has Lewy Bodies Dementia, for 3 years. Their timekeeping was immaculate, the carers were all very loving and caring towards my wife and they were good company for me every morning. It was abundantly clear the staff were intelligent, honest and reliable and I would recommend them to anyone. The agency was efficient, it submitted its invoices on time and with accuracy and clearly enjoyed good management who telephoned me if there was any delays or problems. I have no complaints whatsoever.
Thank you for your really kind review. As well as being so positive about our amazing carers, thank you for also recognising the meticulous attention to detail of our office team that ensures we provide a great service across the board.
I was delighted with all the care and kindness shown to my husband from Jan 2018 to May 2018. The carers were, without exception, the most friendly, caring and kind women. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they treated my husband with affection, humour and empathy as well as respect and dignity. He is severely, visually impaired, deaf and has terrible mobility problems but the carers dealt with every aspect with confidence, knowledge and absolute kindness.
Thank you for your very kind words. They mean a lot to us and we're so glad that we were able to make a difference.
I have been very pleased with my treatment by the different carers they are very helpful and respectful. If for some reason a change of designated carer is unable to attend for any reason their office will ring giving a reason and the name of the new person who will be coming. I have had the carers for a few months and find them very efficient.
We're so glad that our excellent carers and the effective communication from our office have been to your liking.
Right at Home was recommended to me as my 93-year-old mother had spent 3 weeks in a care home while I was away. She was very disorientated on returning home. Right at Home (Bournemouth) quickly instated carers and now 3 months on, my mother has regained her normally alert mind. I have found all aspects of the company excellent. The carers are very friendly, efficient and respect dignity. I would happily recommend Right at Home.
We're so glad to have been able to make a difference for your mother and to put her at ease with our carers coming into her home.
We are very satisfied with the care my father receives from Right at Home. We would highly recommend them.
Thank you for taking the time to let people know how happy you are with what we do.
Thank you to those staff who visited my Father on his holiday, you ensured he had a wonderful and memorable stay.
Thank you, Alan. One of the pleasures of living and working in Bournemouth and Poole is that we get the opportunity to enable others to have a holiday by the sea. We're so glad that we contributed to your Father's enjoyment of his holiday.
We have found Right at Home to be excellent, with a helpful 'can do' attitude, which is very refreshing after some of the other organisations with which we have dealings eg health service and local authorities.
I'm so glad we've been able to be proactive and make a difference. The whole team really appreciates comments like this and we will pass them on to all our caregivers.
We used Right at Home when we holidayed in Christchurch this year. We found them professional, efficient and friendly. The carer provided was sensitive and appropriate and we would have no hesitation in using them again or recommending them to anyone else. We met several of their carers and hall provided the same high standard of care. Nothing seemed too much trouble and within a very short space of time it was like having new friends. Excellent service.
Thank you for your kind words, they mean so much to us and our carers and we will pass them on. We're so glad we were able to help you enjoy your holiday in sunny Dorset.
All the staff are polite and professional in their manner and try where possible to accommodate my needs.
In terms of the admin side, I find this is also run very smoothly and efficiently which is reassuring.
I have recommended this company to a couple of my friends for their family members.
Keep up the great work, you deserve to do well!
Thank you for your kind review. We really appreciate you recommending us to others.
I try to remain as independent as I can - so try to keep visits to a minimum due to this and also cost. The bill I receive each fortnight is all inclusive and does not have travelling time added to it - so you know what it will be - unlike some agencies where it can vary considerably. The staff are very efficient, cheerful and kind.
We really appreciate hearing these comments about our great team of carers and will pass them on. I'm also really glad that you are reassured by our transparent pricing.
We have been delighted with the service provided by Right at Home since they first began caring for Mum, enabling her to remain independent in her own home. Initially, we had half-hour slots, as Mum was reluctant to have anyone in the house to help her, but gradually she became more comfortable with the carers and they now come in three times a day for 2.5 hours a day. Right at Home have been able to allocate Mum one primary carer, with back-up from two other ladies, and they have familiarised themselves with her preferences and routines.
We have been particularly impressed by the very efficient administration and communication of Right at Home - they are always available to offer advice and support and schedules for the following week are emailed, or posted as appropriate, promptly every Friday. They are flexible, responsive and we would recommend them unreservedly.
Thank you for your very kind words. We always aim to provide a service that looks after our client and reassures their family.
Reassured that we could phone the office anytime if we had any concerns on any aspect of dads care.
The review was carried out in a polite and professional manner and dad was addressed throughout.
Thank you for your kind words, Lorraine. I'm glad that our care remains focused on your Dad and his wishes. We look forward to carrying on seeing him well into the future.
The care, consideration and attention Right at Home have provided for my elderly parents since April '16 has completely turned around their lives. From an initial enquiry to the implementation of a schedule to suit my parents, Right at Home have been brilliant, courteous, efficient and flexible. We are very grateful for their input. Thank you.
I'm really pleased that we've made a difference over the past eight months. Thank you for your kind words, Anne. Regards, Andrew
I was very relieved when Right at Home took over from my dad's previous carers. Unlike the others, Right at Home was extremely reliable, punctual and proactive. They took a lot of stress and worry away from me. I found the carers that I met exceed my expectations. The management and admin staff were very helpful and friendly and even though our plans changed within a short space of time nothing was too much trouble for them. I have no hesitation in recommending them.
Dear Liz,
Your very kind words mean a great deal to us and will gladden the hearts of all our amazing carers. Thank you also for taking the time to mention the sterling support that our team in the office provide. All the best to your Dad for the future.
Regards
Andrew Davis
I have been very impressed by the high level of care provided recently. One carer stands out as highly exceptional. I was thrilled to meet her and see how she enjoyed her work. Sometimes things go wrong but immediate action is taken to remedy any problems.
Thank you very much for your kind words. I'm glad you were able to point out that if things don't go to plan, we always get straight to work to sort them out.
Regards.
I was referred to Right at Home by the hospital in 2013 as a condition of my discharge. At first I resented this but soon I came to regard the carers as friends. Albeit short term friends at times, they were never obtrusive but always helpful. They have listened to my whinges with patience. I simply need my meals prepared and my home cleaned but it is always done well with good humour.
Thank you for your kind words, Peter. We do all very much enjoy coming to visit and I'm really glad you feel we do things with good humour.
Regards, Andrew
I am fortunate to have their support every day-of the week. For me it is and has been a real "lifeline". I could not cope without it. I have found them to be pleasant, willing and unfailingly supportive. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

Meet the Team (1)
Right from the launch of Right at Home Bournemouth and Poole in September 2012, Andrew was driven by a determination to develop a service that would support clients as he would want to be supported himself in similar circumstances. The Right at Home team takes the time and trouble to select a close-knit team, recruiting only those people whose dedication to delivering compassionate and reliable care matches their own.
Andrew is acutely aware that families need the highest levels of reassurance that their loved one’s quality of life is not only being maintained but actually being improved. Work schedules are arranged so that Right at Home carers have time for their clients. As Andrew says, “The high-quality service that characterises Right at Home will enhance our clients’ day-to-day living and give peace of mind to their dependants because our carers are punctual, consistent and do not rush the service they provide.” Andrew opened his business after seventeen years of commissioned military service. The qualities of selfless commitment, integrity and respect for others that the British Army develops in its leaders are precisely the qualities needed for his role in this new venture. Andrew lives in Bournemouth and enjoys a happy family life with his wife, young daughter, two cats and a Maltipoo called Charlie. Previously, he immersed himself in the local community by taking on voluntary work both with the Royal Voluntary Society (formerly the WRVS but now including men) delivering library books to the housebound and with the Friends of Christchurch Hospital helping people find their way around the hospital whilst hoping not to get lost himself! Although he no longer undertakes these roles, he remains active with the Alzheimer’s Society and the Dementia Action Alliance. Andrew finds his voluntary work invaluable in keeping him in touch with what older people and those who have to depend on others for help really want and need.
During the pandemic, Andrew took on the role of chair of the Dorset Home Care Providers Association and in this role was able to advise the local authority and local NHS on measures to support both carers and those receiving care across the county.
