Blue ribbon has been an excellent service provider the entirety of the contract. issues have been dealt with promptly and with utmost professionalism. I would not hesitate to recommend them as a care provider.
Blue Ribbon was recommended to my mum. We needed help for mum as her mobility was declining due to an arthritic back & shoulder, this limited her ability to walk & prepare meals for herself. We engaged with BR over 7 years ago, & for several years they came in 4 times a day to help Mum get up, dressed, bathed, prepare lunch, tea & help her get ready for bed. This continued right through COVID, the staff providing safe care & vital company at a time when everyone was isolated. Mum enjoyed a giggle & hearing about the girl's families & what they were going to do on holiday & they took an interest in her, sourcing favourite foods for her & flowers. After a prolonged spell in hospital Mum declined rapidly, BR could not have been more helpful & supported 7 times a day visits & when needed, overnight stays. They sourced BR live-in care for mum. They were responsive, responsible and caring, not only to Mum but also to me & supported me in chasing healthcare support which was very appreciated
I live in Australia and my mother became frail enough to need to transition from daily visits to full time live in carers. She would have had to go into care if not for these wonderful carers. After we left to return to Australia, mother became even more frail and was admitted to hospital. The carer stayed with her and advocated for her, during her time in hospital, did her washing and saw to her needs, as well as providing some much needed support. Mother came home and transitioned into end of life care, and I can't speak more highly of the care she received. The carers were more than paid help, they became part of our family and kept me updated of mother's progress. My mother had wonderful end of life care, in her own home and well supported by Blue Ribbon. They should be called Blue Angels! My heartfelt gratitude goes to all of the girls. Those who were able to, attended mother's funeral.
Blue Ribbon made a very difficult job look easy by being cheerful, caring and professional no matter what the demands. I would highly recommend them.
The Assistance and care my father has received throughout this period has been nothing short of exceptional and on many occasions the service provider has exceeded our expectations.
My father's life and quality of life, has been extended and enhanced by the team at Blue Ribbon. So thank you very much to all the team for your brilliant help and support for my dad.
I find all the carers to be well mannered, very professional and helpful and I would definitely recommend them to family and friends. and anyone who has the need of a carer. I also found them to be very prompt and did every thing asked.
Blue Ribbon was recommended to us by relatives and we are more than happy to have engaged the company to provide our care package required at the time, somewhat in a hurry. We have built up a lovely relationship with the regular Carers who do whatever is required on each and every visit. Being responsible for sourcing care for a loved one could have been daunting, I'm very grateful for the recommendation which led me to Blue Ribbon.
A very efficient and caring service was provided. The staff were always prompt and did everything that was required. My aunt found the carers pleasant and friendly. I recommend them without hesitation.
Blue Ribbon have been providing companionship for my father-in-law since the beginning of the year. The care workers are always on time, professional and deal with him so well. They take him out for a walk or sit and chat with him if he prefers. Their kindness and compassion enable my mother-in-law to leave the house and have some time for herself. I would not hesitate to recommend Blue Ribbon to anyone who is dealing with a partner with dementia.
The service they provided to my mum was outstanding, both personal and caring.
All interactions we have had with the team at Blue Ribbon have been amazing, from the office staff to the daily care givers, I absolutely recommend them.
Staff are very caring and always on time.
The carers wore clean uniforms were very kind, caring and willing to do anything I needed. I liked particularly the continuity of care I had the same two instead of many different ones.
I was introduced to them before they started so I knew who to expect. I couldn't fault the service and if I needed care again I would certainly go to Blue Ribbon
All of the carers we've had have been respectful, friendly, helpful, caring and competent.
In general, she has the same staff to visit her - they send her a list at the beginning of the week and contact her if there's a last-minute change.
If they're adding a new carer to the rota, the new carer will always attend with one of Mum's existing carers so that they can show them the ropes.
There have been a couple of times Mum has been under the weather while the carers were visiting. The first time, they called an ambulance, then me, then waited with Mum until I could drive there. The second time, they rang me to let me know Mum wasn't feeling too good so that I could contact her to check in.
The manager makes regular visits to check Mum is satisfied with the service.
So I'm really pleased with the standard of care she gets.
We have been using Blue Ribbon for several months now and we are very happy with the service they provide. Carers are very efficient, friendly and helpful. Management is very willing to help when needed. A very professional-run company.
The team of Care Workers have unquestionable integrity.
Having recently appointed Blue Ribbon Community Care carers to help my 87-year-old father-in-law, I am delighted with the service they provide. They take care of his daily needs in a professional and friendly manner, putting him at ease while they are in his home. I have found the management staff polite and helpful. It appears that everyone at this company does their best for their clients and families and I would recommend them to anyone seeking assistance for a loved one.
Blue Ribbon have provided and continues to provide an excellent service for my mother who lives at home aged 94. The service has been tailored to meet her needs and is now adjusted to meet her changing needs. The staff are all friendly, helpful and very professional. They will do anything to help provide the highest standard of care. Mam was initially not keen to have carers to help her and now she regards them as good friends. She is happy, relaxed and comfortable when they are in her house. Carers are also helpful and professional with other family members. The care management staff have been friendly and helpful and very professional both in setting up the care initially and continuing reviews and adjustments as required.
They arrive on time, stay the full allocated time and anticipate Mum’s every need. They are always cheery and brighten her day.
The office staff are always pleasant and happy to accommodate. All safety checks and reviews are thorough and communication is excellent.
I feel she is in very safe hands.
So glad we decided to choose Blue Ribbon. Mum and Dad were initially resistant to having carers but they have been so good, Mum and Dad gradually came to trust them and feel very comfortable with them; ultimately they realised they couldn't manage without them. The carers feel like part of the family now; they keep in touch with us, letting us know of any concerns but also any tales about my dad! They showed incredible care and love to my mum when she was ill and dying and really supported her in so many ways which we all really appreciated. Since Mum died they have continued to look after Dad and are a major reason why he's settled well into life on his own and is happy. He has dementia and they all treat him with real understanding. The company are easy to deal with and very responsive to requests. We would very happily recommend them.
A caring, kind and skilled team of people. Always conscientious and consistent in their approach. I can't praise Blue Ribbon Care company enough. The team behind the scenes as well as those providing hands-on care.

Meet the Team (4)
Hello, I’m, Leanne and I’m the Registered Manager of Blue Ribbon Community Care (Tyne & Wear). This means that it is my job to ensure that you receive outstanding care and support from us. We do this by spending time with you beforehand to discuss all your needs and wants and then devising a plan with you that will meet those needs. I’ve worked in social care my entire working life and I came to Blue Ribbon because I knew that their only objective was to deliver high-quality care all of the time. This has been shown in our many awards from Homecare.co.uk as well as our “Outstanding” rating from the CQC. I can’t imagine ever working anywhere else!
Hello, I’m Devon and I’m the Client Care Manager. This means that I make sure that all the care workers know all about the needs of those people they support and that they are in the right place at the right time. This means that if you ever call Blue Ribbon to talk about care and support for a loved one, it’s probably going to be me who will come out to see you. I started at Blue Ribbon as a Care Worker and then got promoted to Team Leader and now Client Care Manager. I know each and every person who works here at Blue Ribbon (we’re not a big company, but we are very friendly and personal) and I know I would happily have anybody here look after me or any of my loved ones.
Hello, I’m Rachel and I’m the Assistant Manager. This means that I look after the needs of the Care Workers and make sure that they have all the support, the information and tools necessary to deliver outstanding care to all those we support. I’m involved in recruitment, training and all things relating to ensuring the quality of our provision. I started at Blue Ribbon as a Care Worker, became a Team Leader and now I’m the Assistant Manager. One day I want to be a Registered Manager (like Leanne) and I know I’ll help Blue Ribbon build on it’s “Outstanding” reputation to achieve our vision of being “the most reputable care provider in the UK”.
Hello, I’m, Mark and I’m the Owner of Blue Ribbon Community Care (Tyne & Wear). Since opening on 2013 we've developed to the point we are the only Home Care provider in Sunderland or Washington rated as Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission, something I’m incredibly proud of. Of course, this could only be achieved by having magnificent Colleagues working alongside me. All those who work in Blue Ribbon – Care Workers, Team Leaders and the Managers work with one aim in mind, and that is to give the best care and support possible to those who need it.
