We have two carers morning and evening from Bluebird Care. They get my wife up using a sling and hoist and transfer her to the living room, where she has a special lift up chair. They wash and dress her and get her breakfast and any other minor needs. The carers are very professional. They treat my
wife extremely well and with care. They interact very positively with her and create a happy and relaxed experience for her. Over time her regular carers have become trusted friends, who do more than just help her with her disability.

Bluebird Care Westminster provided our mother with a lovely, kind and attentive carer. She was very well organised and excellent company, meaning that we never had concerns about her safety. A great well structured team that ensures to maintain a quality service from training of staff to the regular monitoring of works. They ensure that works are professional at all times. We are extremely happy that each carer goes out of their way to ensure that Dad's quality of life is maintained at
a higher standard and the difference is evident from looking after Dad through to taking care of his surroundings. Dad is in a lot better place. Well done team, looking forward to a great 2023.

We have been delighted with the quality and care Bluebird provided to our elderly relative who has vascular dementia but remained very independent. Bluebird was able to try different carers and timings to find which combination worked best. We lived some distance away and it was good to see the senior
management being hands-on and keeping us informed. It was marvellous that they were able to find a carer who obtained our relative’s trust so that they went to the laundrette together, took a bus to a large supermarket for shopping, picking up the laundry on the way back. Unfortunately, after another emergency hospital admittance (accompanied by her main carer) the care package had to end when the relative needed 24-hour care and the flat was not suitable. We would not hesitate to recommend the office.

We had the good fortune of getting help from Bluebird Westminster immediately after my husband had his hip replacement surgery. And we had the greater fortune in our first port of call being the care manager. She has an abundance of all the qualities one wishes for in a human being in care management:
calm, kindness, understanding, compassion, empathy and an ability to explain challenges without sounding panicked. She truly is an oasis of calm and a far superior care manager than anyone I had to deal with later. Of course, we know we are dealing with a business when we come to you. But she makes it seem that providing quality care is as (if not more) important as making money. A later branch basically said it’s not worth their while to help those who can’t commit to long term care whether or not it’s needed! Their rigid motto (as it sounded!) was: if you can’t commit to pay for what you may not need, don’t expect help let alone respect! 5 stars below is for Westminster.

Bluebird Care has provided my mother with professional, wonderful and loving care. My mother needed 24-hour care and they have done marvellously. Their standards met my expectations. It made life much easier for all our family during a very difficult time. The respect and love was in their every detail
and attention. I felt very happy and safe to leave my ailing mother in their hands , they have come back to me and my sisters with all the details required to provide my mother with the utmost comfort. Off course problems do arise but they were managed professionally by the management and customised the care to my mother's needs.

The carer has provided excellent care to my uncle. Bluebird has been great making sure my uncle has the same carers as much as possible which is much less confusing for him. The care manager has also been extremely helpful even popping in to see my uncle in person, which my uncle has really enjoyed.
All the other carers have also been really helpful.

I've been caring for my mum since 2010 after her first stroke. During these 10 years, I've dealt with a few care agencies and I must say that Bluebird is on the top of the list!. Very professional, very efficient, friendly, kind, thorough and creative approach. Creative in a good sense, individual and
considering. Each step of care is based on a very detailed assessment. My mum has a lot of health issues. Her carers were very good.

Peter Slough

Job Title: Managing Director Joined: 2011

Peter’s first experience of arranging care was fraught and riddled with anxiety. “Finding care at short notice and trying to work with companies with no customer service ethos was frustrating. That’s when I thought there must be a better way!” Fast forward to 2023 and with over a decade of industry experience, Peter owns and oversees triple CQC Outstanding Bluebird Care Westminster, Kensington & Chelsea.


After university he worked for an NGO in New Delhi, using his law degree to change government policy and improve lives. This passion for transformative change permeates his operation of Bluebird Care Westminster, Kensington & Chelsea. “We are changing lives for the better, providing local residents with the opportunity to create their very best in-home support structure, delivered by Bluebirds. Requiring care and support can make one feel quite vulnerable. Our aim is to make choosing care an empowering moment, one that unlocks positive outcomes with the ultimate goal of remaining safe and happy at home.”


With his first foray into arranging care for a family member ending in disappointment, Peter notes, “Our most important ethos is to provide professional care that keeps each customer at the heart of their service… care that we would be happy for our own families to receive. Delivering a consistently compassionate, highly skilled, professional service is why two-thirds of our new customers come to us via personal recommendation.”


Peter and his young family enjoy every aspect of the Kensington & Chelsea, Westminster, and City of London boroughs from summer walks in Regents Park to winter ice skating at the Natural History Museum.

Nicola started her career in care over 10 years ago as a care assistant and a volunteer having looked after her grandparents. This experience helped him realise her passion for caring for others and making a real difference in people's lives.


Nicola joined us in 2011 and has worked for us as a Care Assistant, Coordinator, Supervisor, Deputy Care Manager, Operations Manager and Registered Manager. In that time she has gained considerable experience in the key functions within Bluebird Care and recently gained her NVQ Level 5 in Health & Social Care.


Her primary objective is to ensure that at all times Bluebird Care Kensington & Chelsea provides the highest quality of care to our many customers. Her keen understanding and experience of the processes essential to providing 'quality care' have been invaluable to ensuring we maintain and exceed the highest standards.
