I am a carer for my disabled sister and also my father. I have used many care companies over the years and have never been satisfied with the care they gave, the training to their staff until I came across the manager at this company. What a wonderful company they are. Best decision in 26 years of
caring for my sister I have made. The office staff are amazing , the manager and owner are amazing. Since moving to this company they have gone out of their way to provide the right carers for my sister who is disabled as well as my father who is end of life. They always keep me informed, always answer an email or always answer a call. Not like any previous care company who just send in anybody to do care. They make sure the carers are fully trained, kept up to date with training and pick the carers specifically to meet the full needs of the service user. If anyone who reads this review wants to contact me if they want to change care providers please feel free to do so. They are amazing

The Right at Home team cared for my mother-in-law (and her husband) over these last few months. Each carer brought empathy, good humour, positivity and personality into their home. Right at Home's Manager, is hands on, the company is independent and local. Throughout someone senior has been readily
available. The service provided has been responsive, flexible to changing needs and hospital admissions. We feel most fortunate to have found this care provider and would confidently recommend.

Well we're to start after trying over five care company's over the past year and not one made it past 4 days.
I was recommended Right at Home through a friend who is very fussy thought they must be amazing if she could not pick up on nothing not one fault.
Rang Right at Home and came out to meet
my mam when I opened the front door I found a very smart lady smart uniform fresh and pressed hair tied back.
First thing I said was were have you been this was exactly what I was looking for not like some young kid false eye lashes full make up chewing gum.
Any she came in and chatted to myself and mam we done all the forms.
But what stood out above all other care companies, they asked about my mom's childhood right up to the present day. It was explained that they do this with every client so they have a subject to talk about with the service user.
I felt like I could have cried the fact that they care about their clients.
And it's not just a job and having brilliant care staff in the company.

Prior to engaging Right at Home, both management and the care team invested time to understand the differing needs of both my parents. It wasn't simply a process of establishing the hours per day required, but more about how daily home care would best be provided from a human relationship perspective
as well as being respectfully delivered. The dedicated care team are very friendly and professional and both my parents feel very well looked after and are totally comfortable with the close-knit team of 3 members of staff in particular that were specifically selected by the senior care manager who has continued to "check in" with me as the only child to ensure that as a family we are happy how the service is being provided. I would highly recommend the services of Right at Home as they inherently understand how vitally important it is to deliver home care services in both a compassionate and respectful manner when individual family members are potentially at their most vulnerable.

Your team has been caring for me for 8 months now and I find all have carried out their regular duties in the most manner. They all have shown respect and always asked if there was anything else I would have them do.
Always smiling and cheery and made me feel I could face the day as except for close
family and two lifelong friends I am alone all day.

Thank you for all the kindness, gentleness and respect you added to my wife and our mother. You all provided our family with a sense of relief, knowing that my wife was in good hands each and every day. We will all be forever grateful for your support. The care you provided meant that she was able to
stay at home throughout her illness. A special thank you to the carers who supported my wife through her last couple of weeks. Your presence at her funeral meant a lot. Our warmest thanks and deep appreciation to you all.

Great care company, highly recommend them. My grandad looks forward to his carers arriving, they always cheer him up when he is having a bad day since my grandma passed away. He has the best team that know what his needs are and we as a family never have any concerns.

My mam currently has carers from this company and I cannot praise them enough, I can go to work knowing that she is receiving the best care possible, her carers always meet her needs even going above what is required.
Any problems they have or if she is running low on basics they leave me a note, nothing
is ever a problem! Lovely girls I couldn’t ask for more. Highly recommend.

Right at Home were able to provide much needed support to get a wheelchair-bound elderly gentleman from his care home to a wedding and back.
The family were very concerned it would be too much for him but they managed it with genuine care, grace, and a can-do attitude that completely took the worry
out of a very pressurised day for us.
A big big thank you to one member of staff in particular.
We cannot recommend them highly enough.

Overall a poor experience.
They used agency staff frequently. These staff were not fully trained. They didn’t use PPE which concerned me and my mam.
My mam reported to me that one of the agency staff attempted to feed her partly frozen fish. They tried to microwave it for 10 ‘mins directly from
the freezer. This in itself was a massive concern.
There were too many instances where they said they couldn’t make visits and in the end, we had quite a lot of stress trying to get someone there to care for my mam.
All in all, I wouldn’t recommend this company based on my personal experience with testimony from my mam.
I’ll also add that my mam did get along with some of the staff and would have been happy with one member of the team staying.
RAH decided to withdraw their services giving only 3 days' notice to us (apparently agency staff costing too much) which left us in a desperate situation. We asked the carer if they wanted to stay on for continuity purposes, but this was declined.

Right at Home Tyneside consistently delivers the high quality and compassionate care reflected in 60+ client reviews on this website and our review score of 9.7 / 10.


We were extremely disappointed to withdraw from supporting your mother. As you know, this resulted from family members repeatedly asking our carers to resign and join another family member’s business that is a direct competitor of ours.


Despite our requests for such approaches to cease these persisted, continually pressuring our staff to leave and causing extreme anxiety to several valued team members.


Although we are here first and foremost to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the many vulnerable adults we support, we also have a duty of care to our committed and loyal care staff. After long and careful consideration, we took the decision to withdraw.


Both family and the commissioning body were informed, and an end date agreed. It is important to remind you that our contract was directly with the local authority and the commissioners were incredibly supportive of our decision and our relationship with the Council remains excellent.


We will always do everything in our power to deliver the highest quality care to the people we support, whilst respecting the duty of care we have to our trusted care staff.

The standard of care my grandmother was provided by this company was outstanding! The level of care the care staff provided was absolutely fantastic it was all person centred towards my grandmother. Nothing was ever an issue to the office staff if we had any extra requirements. I could not recommend

My Grandmother is well looked after by this company, with four visits every day I feel comfortable knowing the carers are friendly, reliable and caring carers.
