The standard of care my grandmother was provided by this company was outstanding! The level of care the care staff provided was absolutely fantastic it was all person centred towards my grandmother. Nothing was ever an issue to the office staff if we had any extra requirements. I could not recommend or thank Right at Home Tyneside enough they have went above and beyond for my grandmother!
Communication skills are excellent, ensuring that any concerns or issues are highlighted to me immediately.
Can’t recommend enough.
Mam received top class care and I was kept informed. Very prompt replies to any queries.
Brilliant to have such a good company to help me look after my Mam.
My mam uses this company and they are brilliant. They go above and beyond for her, would highly recommend always happy and pleasant and really care. Time keeping is brilliant, always same carers absolutely brilliant service highly recommend
My beloved brother recently passed, and I would like to thank Right at Home, particularly the carers, for all the help and support they gave both my brother and the family over the years. My brother saw carers as part of the extended family and always had a smile for them. I'd also like to thank the owner, for not only overseeing everything but also for assistance with finding issues and standing firm when necessary. I not only miss my brother but also seeing the carers every day. Right at Home is a business that really cares for it's clients and their families.
My Mother suffered from Parkinson's and in December 2020 was sectioned with what is called Parkinson's Dementia, comprising of severe paranoia and hallucinations etc. The 6 months leading up to this and the 6 months that followed were extremely difficult on many levels. Our main aim became to get her home with 2 Carers 24/7. Where do you start with no experience or knowledge of such things? Right at Home became our sounding board, support and advisor throughout and without this guidance I don't know if we would have achieved our final goal. We succeeded in getting her home, where she died 2 weeks later. During this period, she was surrounded by her husband, 4 daughters and 9 grandchildren in the home that she had created.
We finally moved to Right at Home in May 2021, from the start we had some great carers that came with us, and some truly amazing new ones from Right at home This care provider has been outstanding The only downside and the saddest part is that we didn’t discover Right at Home sooner, we can honestly say we feel blessed our mum was looked after by such a caring compassionate and accommodating team
Thank you for everything from all her daughters.
We have used the services of Right at Home for about 5 years and the company has helped us to increase the amount of care over the years to correspond with our mother's growing needs. We have had a range of excellent carers who were always kind, caring, and professional. Our mother thought of her carers as her friends and was very relaxed and comfortable having them in the house. They were reliable and geared the days towards our mother's needs and interests. We have felt very confident about the level of safety throughout the Corona pandemic. We had a core team who came regularly and communicated well with each other. Overall the communication with our family has been excellent which was very important for us as we do not live near our mother. We recently moved our mother to a care home in another town to be nearer to the rest of the family.
My mam has warmed to then which is a great sign that she is comfortable and they respect her and my dad just wants to say thank you and these girls definitely deserve to be recognized.
Previously, I couldn't praise Right At Home highly enough, but since then I've had a string of different carers, several of whom were totally unsuited to me. I continually reminding RAH that my doctors have said the number of different carers needed to be kept to two to three, as I'm severely immunocompromised, but I was constantly fobbed off with 'We're short-staffed. Bear with us.' I was repeatedly told they had new carers starting earmarked for me, but most never materialised and those who did were often placed with other clients. When I complained I felt as though I was being spoken to like a naughty child and being reprimanded. Then five weeks ago I was admitted to hospital and whilst in Intensive Care, I had a text from the owner making a joke of my situation. Now, without any notice, he has handed back my care package, so I am stuck in hospital indefinitely. Clearly, RAH clients are seen as disposable as they didn't even give the required two weeks' notice for cessation of care.
We’re sorry to hear about your experience with Right at Home, although it is disappointing, given our close working relationship of 18 month’s standing, that you have chosen not to discuss this with us. Whilst we always strive to provide consistency of care, and have maintained a core team...
Right at Home have looked after my brother for almost four years and have been great. The carers are all local and it feels like they are part of the family. The business owner and managers not only put my brother's needs first but have been very supportive to me and my family, through some very tough times. Right at Home have been excellent and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a quality and passionate care provider.
From December my Aunt has been very well supported by Right at Home who are providing 24 hour care. It was her choice from discharge from Hospital to have the individual care, rather than in her words 'be forgotten about in a nursing home'. She is receiving palliative care and currently having hourly care through the day and night. She has a great team of carers now that she was able to personally choose. Discussions about her wishes, her likes were all held and are regularly monitored. We are in contact by phone every day but living along way away, having the reassurance of this support by professional carers is invaluable. Care costs are unavoidable unfortunately but my Aunt is happy to use her own money for her own high standard of one to one care that is being provided to her 24 hours a day in her own home.
All the girls who have looked after my mother has been very kind and caring, not only looking after her day to day needs but especially the help she requires due to her lack of sight and ongoing stoma care. Her carers are reliable, cheery and responsible for giving her excellent care and in turn, peace of mind for me.
Response was very fast from the office when required. Dad's needs and care were met very well, especially when Dad required support with washing and showering. He enjoyed chatting to all the care staff too.
Can't thank Right at Home enough. They made such a hard time that bit easier. The girls were fantastic caring for Dad, and Mam and I were well looked after too. Special thanks to the four girls, they were absolutely fantastic.
I have had excellent support from Right at Home since coming out of hospital. They also have an excellent approach to client and family members. They now seem part of our family which is a comfort.
It has been a huge relief having daily care for my mother and Right at Home have definitely proved the right company to choose. From the outset, everyone I have spoken to has been extremely professional and caring. It's very clear that each decision is taken with Mum's best interests at heart. The level of communication from both management and carers is outstanding. The smallest issue is raised and there is true communication between us as to how we can work together to improve Mum's quality of life. It's not easy for someone who has always been independent to accept help. The carers have worked very hard to establish a good relationship with Mum and build her trust with a great deal of patience and empathy. I cannot praise them enough.
My family and I think the carers at Right at Home are doing an amazing job, we have a fantastic team now and they all bring something special to the job. Two of the carers have been with us for 6 years and feel part of our family, they have remained loyal and dedicated and always go the extra mile.
The 3 newest members of the team have just slid into the package and it feels like they have always been there. I really appreciated how the carers helped Mam recently. During a drop in my, Mam had an unexpected accident, the drop in carer had to go to another call but showed how caring and dedicated she is by coming back to help Mam once she was finished on her other call, the carer remained calm and reassured Mam the whole time telling her not to worry, she has done an amazing job.
I really appreciate the dedication, care and support the carers give my parents and my family, also the support we receive from the owner and the office team.
Really accommodating of clients needs at short notice, and as a daughter, I feel very comfortable and happy with my mother’s care by Right at Home. Friendly and hard-working staff. Good communication from management/office staff. Would recommend to other service users.
Right at Home (Tyneside) has provided my care for 5 years now. In this time they have delivered a high-quality service where mine and my families needs have always been considered. I would highly recommend Right at Home (Tyneside) to those that require personal care.
