To All the Team
Thank you so much for looking after my husband so well
It was the first time as a family we had tried to look for some
weekend care
My son and daughter were pleased to meet his overnight carers
and left him safe in the knowledge he would be well looked after.

He also enjoys his outings during the day with various members of staff

After breaking my wrist on 10th May, 2025, later sustaining 'shock', the manager and her team of eight arrived. They were with me for twelve weeks, with patience and skilful caring, each and every one of them contributed to restoring my health and confidence. I will be forever grateful to them for enabling my small dachshund (Willow) and me to enjoy once more our day walks and our joy in living.

Their manager was always so calm and kind, setting a wonderful example for her team. She treated them so well. They cared for Willpw as well as for me.

I have been very pleased with Right at Home from the begining. This last week we have moved home. Our new property had been standing empty for some time and needed a good clean and dust. My regular cleaner was very thorough and made a superb job of everything from shower room, dusting, hoovering. It looks absolutely fantastic. Thank you Right at Home Nottingham South. All the team have been super helpful.

I’ve been using Right at Home for over a year now and I’m very pleased. At the start of our relationship they took the time to understand my needs and how best to meet them. Since then they’ve met those needs consistently and professionally. I’m always fully introduced to a new carer and all the carers turn up on time, knowing what they need to do. As my care needs increase, Right at Home have increased their provision accordingly and (so far, touch wood) nothing has been too difficult for them.

Right At Home came on board with my mother when we needed to replace NHS Temporary Care. They were understanding from the start and helped Mother through a difficult time. We knew all her carers, despite living a distance away, as they were willing to communicate with us to make things better. When her care arrangements needed to increase, that was facilitated. Mother could not have remained in her home without Right At Home giving her the care and understanding she required.

Many thanks.

I am really pleased that I contacted Right at Home, I had been struggling for several months with an Oedema in my spine. Right at Home have been more than I ever dreamt a care company would be. They are willing to help in any way, take you shopping, or with me help me to get my confidence again and do the inevitable house work. I have found them very easy to get on with, knowledgeable, easy to chat with etc. I also think that Right at Home do their best to suit the carer to the client, something they have been very successful with for me. They even made sure I was not on my own for Christmas as it fell on the day they would normally come to me on. I had a lovely lady come to me and I realised after she had gone that she had helped me have a lovely Christmas. I now have company instead of hours on my own, people I can turn to for help. Thank you Right at Home, you have made my life so much brighter.

Our mum and dad have been receiving care from Right at Home since 2021. Over that time, the care has built up from one hour a day three days a week, to currently eight hours a day seven days a week. Availability of carers is not easy, we all know that, but Right at Home have always been honest and found extra care within a few weeks of asking. Mum and Dad have about four different people covering the week. You may think that’s too many, but actually it’s good. Different people, different characters, but all good and caring people. Mum and Dad couldn’t manage without them. Having recently increased the hours has made a massive wellbeing difference to Mum, who now has people to talk to and go out with. No idea what the next few weeks, months or years (hopefully) will bring. But, we know Right at Home will be there for all of us.

We have been absolutely thrilled with the care delivered by Right At Home for my 83-year-old mum. She has a heart condition, has suffered two strokes and has dementia. The carers have been brilliant with her, so kind and respectful of her wishes. They treat her with dignity and the communication from staff has been great. We know exactly when they are coming and which carer it will be.

I can’t recommend Right At Home strongly enough. They are brilliant.

My husband is being supported by Right at Home at the dementia friendship group on alternate Fridays. This group is small and ideal for people struggling with dementia. They have been kind, considerate and caring and put a lot of thought into activities. My husband loves going to the group.

My husband has participated in the dementia friendship group for a number of months now. Immediately from his first session, as soon as he walked through the door, I could tell that he felt at ease and welcome in the 'home from home' atmosphere. The group take part in a range of activities which are inclusive and enjoyable; staff make an effort to include activities that are of a special interest and significance to the attendees. These sessions are of a great benefit to both my husband and myself. I feel reassured that he is spending a happy three hours while I, as his main carer, have the opportunity for respite.

My dad is still accessing Right at Home services. Right at Home, Nottingham, came to the house and talked to Mum and Dad and family about offering support for Dad, to set targets and make a plan for ongoing projects. This could also include help with medication and creating a health care plan, when needed. The theory behind this, is that cognitive stimulation involving people with dementia, in planning and participation, can slow down the symptoms of the condition. My dad has always been active and kept up with modern changes in technology, communities and construction. This service enables our parents to be socially independent of their immediate family. It gives them their own purpose, keeps them cognitively stimulated, a sense of value, flashes of fun, enjoyment, a break from each other and respite from the monotony of getting old and most of all it gives them opportunity to live life, despite the difficulties old age is throwing at them.

Starting Right at Home Nottingham has been a pleasure and honour, as being an active part of my local community in Nottingham is something I have always aimed for.

For over 20 years I have built up a huge level of experience in the franchise business sector. After running a successful cleaning and restoration agency in the East Midlands I became a national franchise business consultant; helping others along the path of business ownership. It was here I found Right at Home.

The one thing my businesses have shared is ‘people’ – motivated, competent, caring people that I’ve worked with, as well as people who’ve needed a helping hand to fix their homes and those who have needed guidance and help in their careers. It’s fair to say my passion is in people and it is the sole reason why I knew that Right at Home was the perfect opportunity for me. Almost anyone can act the part as a business owner, but I know that to work so closely in your community and to touch the lives of others, you have to possess a genuine desire to help people.

I have always had a strong understanding and empathy for care; my mother was a Nurse in Nottingham’s QMC Hospital so it’s something that I have been a part of from a young age. My father has always played a key role in our community and is someone I look up to and respect. We’ve always been a close family and I think the skills to nurture relationships and to listen to others have definitely been passed down through the generations.

At Right at Home Nottingham I am dedicated to providing my community with the best home care services, to suit the lives and the needs of people’s loved ones. I am lucky to have the full support of my whole family - my wife, two sons and my parents.

Being the best we can be is in our family bones and I aim to offer the best home care, be it enabling independence for an octogenarian, providing short-term post-operative care to help someone back on their feet, or complex specialist care.

Whatever your needs, the team at Right at Home and I will be there to help.
