Have used another agency before, they were late and did not care. Since using Bluebird, I must say I cannot fault this company. They are always on time, mum is taken care of to the highest standard. If I can't get home they have always helped with picking up last minute. I would recommend this company
for anyone who needs good care.

During the last three weeks of my Mother-in-law's life, and at very short notice, the manager and her team supported the entire family and gave excellent, compassionate and high-quality care. The girls were without exception empathetic, insightful and professional and my Father-in-law, who initially
resisted having any help, grew to look forward to their visits. With sensitivity and well-timed humour, they lifted our spirits, cared for our lovely Mum and helped us through the last weeks of her life without intruding or imposing.
We will be forever grateful for the girls from Bluebird and the way they blended into our home and showed genuine and rather lovely affection towards my Father-in-law as he went through the worst few weeks of his life. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

I was most grateful to the agency for getting someone to me at very short notice as I had broken both wrists and my daughter who came upended to get back home as she is a nurse. In the event we saw the live-in manager on Monday afternoon and the carer was here on Wednesday night.

I was extremely

well cared for, with my daily shower, dressing, washing, ironing etc. The carer would walk with me to the shops and we usually took a taxi home. I was going to Bath to celebrate my niece's graduation and the carer came with me.

I heard a lot about her previous clients and got the impression that most were not normally independent with the result that she occasionally spoke out of turn although she would always attempt to explain any problem.

Without her care, I would have had to go into a local home for the month and I appreciate the fact that it is a difficult job to undertake, but one for which she was well qualified and I am grateful.

Although only used for a fortnight to cover the period immediately after leaving hospital, the service was first class. The carers were tireless in what they undertook and their relationship was excellent. I would recommend the service to others without hesitation.

I was very lucky to have Bluebird care for my husband during a very stressful time. The attitude and dedication of each carer was exemplary and their cheerful and positive outlook was much appreciated. Their training showed itself the way they conducted themselves and I can't speak too highly of each
and everyone who cared for my husband. I could not have coped without them. Long may Bluebird continue to provide such wonderful support.

Bluebird South Oxfordshire have been caring (part-time) for my father who has dementia, over the past 7 months. I have found them to be flexible, reliable and caring. The staff in the office are a pleasure to deal with. I would not hesitate to recommend them to families in a similar situation.

Although the family only used Bluebird for 3 weeks, we found them especially helpful and compassionate as well as being thorough in assessing mum. They delivered their side of the contract efficiently and competently. First rate service.

Bluebird have been providing care services in the home for my mum since May this year. The care staff have been unfailingly caring for my mum even when her mood changes made her difficult and at times unappreciative of the service they were providing for her without which she would not have been able
to continue to live in her own home. The carers were proactive in contacting medical professionals when required and as none of mum's immediate family live near her kept us up to date on her situation between our visits.
We were impressed by the help we were given by the Bluebird service manager and her team when we were beginning to identify the need for mum to go into a care home even though supporting us in this meant they would lose a client. This demonstrated to us that they were motivated by the desire to ensure the right care for their clients not just their bottom line.

Tim Rowland-Jones

Job Title: Managing Director and Owner Joined: 2021

Tim’s wealth of experience in business management informs his oversight of Bluebird Care Richmond & Twickenham. Having helmed a multi-channel retail business before opening his first Bluebird Care office, Tim says, “I don’t think many people dream of running a home care company… I certainly didn’t! But when my grandfather’s dementia worsened I became acutely aware of the need for exceptional, empathetic care. This lived experience pushed me to open my first Bluebird Care office and set the high standards we’ve maintained for over a decade.”

Insisting his colleagues are trained beyond industry standard, each Care Assistant is encouraged to develop specialisms ranging from dementia and post-op rehabilitation to Parkinson’s, MND, complex care, challenging behaviour, palliative care and nutrition and hydration. “Our aim is to match each customer to their ideal Care Assistants by personality and expertise. Whilst our customers are at the centre of what we do, our Bluebirds are the heartbeat of the company - their kindness, compassion, and professionalism set us apart.”

As the owner of three Bluebird Care offices across London and the South West, Tim can’t imagine working in any other industry. “It’s an unbeatable feeling, being involved in a local business that changes lives. My father is now receiving live-in care which has been life-changing so I am passionate about providing this service to Richmond and Twickenham residents.”

Spotting the Richmond Park deer has become a favourite pastime of Tim’s young family, as has feeding the ducks on Barnes Pond.

Job Title: Deputy Manager Joined: 2014

I joined Bluebird Care back in April 2014 as a care assistant, mainly due to having a small child and being able to have flexible working hours. I quickly found supporting members of my local community and surrounding villages really rewarding and I realised that this was the industry that I wanted to build a career in. I went from Care Assistant to Support Supervisor, Supervisor to Live-in Care Manager, to where I am today, predominantly overseeing the safe running of the South, West and central Oxfordshire territory.

As well as having transferrable skills from my earlier roles, I also hold an NVQ level 5 in Care Management and look forward to developing my knowledge further in other areas of the business. I have always felt Bluebird is the perfect fit for me due to the shared ethos of person-centred care, promoting independence and going the extra mile to make a difference in someone's life whilst remaining in their own home. I feel extremely privileged to help lead a team, that provides great quality care to Oxfordshire's vulnerable adults.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending quality time with my two children, walking and swimming.
