How many hours per week or month are needed

Whether services are delivered during evenings, weekends or 24-hour cover

any bespoke elements of the care plan (for example, additional companionship, outings, or specialised equipment)

Because each client’s needs are unique, we provide a tailored quote following a free home consultation. We will walk you through what your loved one requires, explain the team and support structure, and build a plan that aligns with your lifestyle and budget.

We believe that rather than presenting a “one-size-fits-all rate”, it is far more sensible and transparent to create a care package that flexes with your needs. If your requirements change (for example, increasing hours, adding specialist care, or adjusting the level of support), the plan and therefore the fee will reflect that.

During the consultation, we also explain how fees work: when invoices are issued, payment methods, what is included (and what is not), and how we review the plan over time to ensure value and relevance. We encourage families to ask about any potential additional costs or adjustments—our aim is that you feel comfortable, supported and fully informed. Available on request.

Carer is extremely polite and always willing and patient to help in whatever is asked of him and also help us on his own. And my husband also is getting to know him which is what he needs and helps my husband with exercise which is needed.

My wife's medical situation is extremly complex. The 24/7 care provided by Home Instead is of a very professional nature and meets all of these needs successfully on both physical and mental levels and provides great comfort to her. The administration of the service is excellently coordinated to achieve a very smooth transition from one professional carer to the next, like clockwork. The overall quality of the care received is of the highest standard literally from carer to carer through the day and night. I would highly recommend Home Instead to anyone requiring professional care at home without any reservations.

The carer for my mother was excellently matched to her and they formed a very warm friendship. She was knowledgeable about ailments found in old age and helpful on this front. She definitely enhanced my mother's life in the last 2 years. And not only did she support my mother, she was a toner of strength for the family, giving us a much-needed breathing space.

We have had carers for over 2 years for my 93-year-old cousin.
He was living alone, quite lonely and isolated, not really looking after himself very well.
His dementia began around 4 years ago and has been steadily getting worse.
The care he received was fantastic. He loved all his carers especially one in particular who became his main carer in the last year.
They cooked him hearty healthy meals and kept the flat clean and tidy.
Most of all he has enjoyed the company. Without a doubt, this has had a positive effect on him.
He used to be a bit low and depressed. But in the last year he has felt so cared for and so engaged with the carers, he has felt much much better.
Any issue or problem, I would contact a particular staff member and it would be dealt with quickly and efficiently.
I knew I could rely on them all.
As I live a fair distance away and he is in another location, it was sometimes quite a strain on me. But once 'Home Instead' was involved, it took a huge weight off my shoulders.

I can not thank them enough.

Really lovely initial contact with the director and quickly set up the first step of care - who was very good. My father's live-in carer is absolutely fantastic! Overall Experience

We have been using the services of Home Instead for nearly two years and are very happy with them. As a family we had become concerned that our mother was struggling to look after herself properly in her home. Since we brought in Home Instead we have been able to relax, knowing that she is in the capable hands of an experienced, capable carer. The carer has demonstrated herself to be completely attuned to my mother's needs and the two of them have developed a close bond, which is reassuring for the rest of the family to see.

My mother has extremely complex needs and requires great attention to detail, and also she benefits from regularly seeing the same faces. The carer provides excellent companionship and mental stimulation for my father with Alzheimer's. He is so kind and patient in conversation and also persuades my dad (86) to go for a daily walk (he often refuses to go out with me or my brother - the carer has the magic touch). We have tried many different carers, but he knows how to make my dad feel in 'control' and is extremely charming and respectful. My dad actively looks forward to his visits. Thank you.
