The care and support they give to my dad is excellent, they show such compassion and care when dealing with someone is struggling with a number of issues. They treat him with dignity and they are a lifeline in ensuring he is able to stay at home. It is also so reassuring that I know he is receiving
the best care and attention and gives me peace of mind.
Communication from Right At Home is superb, from everyone based in the office and the carers and I appreciate how they will update me on any visits my dad receives from health visitors, district nurses and his GP.
Keep doing the great work, it is very much appreciated by me and my dad.

Many thanks for all the care during the past 4 years. From our initial meeting, we have had contact with the office staff, the care visits have been always to time and a regular team of carers much appreciated. This was a difficult time too - COVID, all care visits continued - once again many thanks
to all.

Reply from Michael Bowen, Managing Director at Right at Home (Swindon)

Thank you for your kind words. Everyone here at Right at Home Swindon held both the client and yourself in the highest esteem. He was naturally kind, and all the carers, without exception, liked him. You were always taking care of his interests and deserve a special mention. It has been our good fortune to have supported him and to have worked closely with you. We will all miss you both.

When my father-in-law needed care, we contacted Right at Home. We were not disappointed! He had a small team of carers who got to know him very well, they were all kind and caring and communicated well with the family, especially through the pandemic when we couldn't visit as often. The office team
have always been helpful and reviewed the care regularly to amend the care plan as my father-in-law's needs changed.

The really lovely and wonderful team of carers always do their best to go above and beyond. They are kind, caring, thoughtful, supportive. Having strong bonds with a lot of the carers has meant so much, both in looking after my physical well-being and mental illness. The week between August 7th - 13th,
which was the week of my 50th birthday, I was overwhelmed and really moved by all the love and kindness from all the carers who came to see me and the surprises that I received; it was the best birthday I have had since before my mum died in 2009.

Mother-in-law has been having carers from Right at Home for almost two years, and she is delighted with the care she gets. She usually receives care from the same group of ladies, whom she thinks of almost as friends. They are responsive to her needs and very careful and respectful of her personal needs.
The
oversight from management is also excellent, with regular reviews both with her and with the family to ensure all is well.
We have no hesitation in recommending Right at Home to anyone in need of that extra bit of care.

This is the first time we have used a care service and our experience has been excellent. My mother has a carer twice a week and she is very good at her job. All the carers provided have been of a good standard, never late, always efficient and helpful. My father has dementia and the carers help keep
my mum sane.
The office staff are equally as good, always helpful, do regular reviews and mean them. I could not ask for a better service.

Where to begin. Well, on the day my aunt was discharged from hospital, one of the management team was waiting there with me when she arrived. My aunt has always been included in all care planning through out. My aunt is amazed at the care she is and has been receiving, as at her previous residence she
was treated very differently. Her health and wellbeing has greatly improved since being cared for by this wonderful team of carers. The communication and caring skills are so good, I have no hesitation in recommending them to family and friends. In fact, I already have. Many, many thanks to all the wonderful people who care for my aunt!

The agency found a company who had vacancies in the local area. The carers arrived on the right day and at the right time, looking well-cleaned and suitable for the job. They were very polite and greeted my husband very well. When my husband became ill and needed more care, they provided it with no
fuss. They have continued to work well and become friends, chatting and including me in what they are doing. I am very happy with the care my husband is receiving.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.833 for Right at Home (Swindon) is calculated as follows: ( (173 Excellents x 5) + (28 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 204 Ratings = 4.833

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Home Care Provider does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

I am married to my lovely wife, Sue, and have four children to keep to me busy. After many years working as an accountant in a variety of organisations including EMI, TNT and BBC Worldwide I am delighted to be moving into the world of home care. Whilst I am proud of what I have achieved in the past, my role as a Right at Home franchise owner is taking me into a whole new world where I can help to improve the quality of life for others.
Customer service has always been central to my work ethic and so it is a bonus that I can put this to good use in such a person-centred way. It is also a joy to be working with the bigger team at Right at Home who demonstrate their kindness and passion for care every day. To compliment my work I have become a dementia friend and now a dementia champion. I was amazed to discover how much can be done to improve the quality of life for those with dementia so long as you have the right knowledge.
Our company values are based firmly on person-centred care and everyone here at Right at Home Swindon is utterly devoted to maintaining those values. So, if you want a friendly face to call in and help you with everyday tasks around the home, personal care or simply to chat to then we have the perfect person waiting for you.

Job Title: Recruitment and Training Coordinator

I started Right at Home in March 2024. I worked as a caregiver from March 2024 until June 2025, when I had the opportunity to join the office team as Training and Recruitment Coordinator

In my spare time, I spend quality time with my husband, little girl and 2 dogs.

My role is to recruit new carers, set standards and give them the knowledge and confidence to provide good quality care to our clients.

What do you look for in a CareGiver to ensure they deliver safe, high-quality care?

A friendly, approachable person who shows a positive attitude. Someone who is compassionate and empathetic. Someone who shows a willingness to learn.

How does training prepare CareGivers for real-life situations?

We offer hands-on training. I have worked my way up from being a carer, so give real-life scenarios for the trainee.

How do you tailor training to meet different learning styles or needs?

Plan a range of lessons and different teaching techniques, as not all trainees will learn the same way.

How do you promote a caring and values-based culture from day one?

Clarify and inform new carers of Right at Home values and core expectations. We do our in-house training, and then new carers will do shadowing with long-serving carers at the beginning of their journey with us.

Frequently send out feedback forms to our carers to ensure they are happy within their jobs and to highlight any areas we can work on.

Job Title: Marketing Coordinator

I joined Right at Home Swindon in 2025 after graduating in 2024, and I’m proud to be part of a team that makes such a meaningful difference in people’s lives. My role focuses on sharing the incredible work our CareGivers do every day and helping local families understand the high-quality care we provide. Marketing in the care sector is all about building trust, raising awareness, and showing the heart behind what we do.

Outside of work, I love staying active at the gym, travelling to new places, and going to music festivals and concerts.

How do you make sure our messaging reflects the quality and heart of our care?

I always aim to make our content feel genuine and reflective of the care we give. It’s not just about promoting services, it’s about sharing the stories and moments that show the compassion and connection between our CareGivers and clients. I take the time to listen to what’s really happening on the ground, then bring that to life through our messaging.

How do you highlight the voice of our clients and team in your work?

For me, the best way to show who we are is through the words of the people who experience it every day. I regularly gather feedback, quotes and stories from both clients and CareGivers. Their voices help others see the human side of what we do, and just how much care and thought go into every visit.

What role does marketing play in building trust with families?

Marketing is often the first time someone comes across Right at Home, so it’s important that what they see is warm, clear and honest. I focus on building trust by showing who we are, how we work, and the values that guide us. Whether it's sharing our CQC rating or introducing our team, it's all about helping families feel confident in choosing us.

How do you help promote openness, transparency and values-led care?

Everything I put out is grounded in our values. I make sure our communication is open, easy to understand, and reflects what really matters to us. Whether it’s a social media post or an email campaign, I keep things down-to-earth and authentic, so people feel they’re getting a true sense of who we are and what we stand for.
