Whilst my father was still in hospital, Right at Home set up a care package that started the minute he returned home. He has a small team of regular care-givers who provide him with meals, companionship and support 3 times a day. They are excellent! Always several steps ahead of the game. They are even
able to motivate him to do a bit of exercise while they prepare meals. My father appreciates them and so do I! My stress levels and worries have decreased significantly. The office staff/managers are also very helpful and proactive.

We have found the company very flexible and accommodating for extra shift requests at short notice and have a good cancellation policy.
All the staff are very personable and some go above and beyond to meet my father's needs and well-being.
One carer, in particular, has a wonderful relationship with
dad and us as a family as dad lives with us to the point where we have been able to take short holidays and employ the carer to join us to enable dad to enjoy a break with us too. This last year would have been much more challenging without the support of this wonderful team of carers.

I would like to say I have been supported by Right At Home, Swindon for over two years. They have always been respectful, supporting me with my dignity of privacy and emotional support. The carers are outstanding. They keep my chin up as I have terminal cancer.

I chose this care service through the website and I was not let down. You lived up to your ethos.


My mum had exemplary care and was treated with dignity and respect as was I. It is a difficult decision to entrust care to others of your loved ones and I felt I could trust each caregiver to support

The company is very good, I have never had care before. The carers are smart and polite and treat you nicely. They take a lot of care to help me with health issues which I get very worried about. I'm scared each day as I get a lot of pain as I try to do things I should not.

My father has stated that he feels Right at Home deliver a high standard of care as his previous carers did not work to the quality of Right at Home. He is contacted regularly from the registered manager to check he is happy with his carers. As my dad is terminal if he is or has had a bad time, they
will listen and communicate to discuss how he feels. They provide all of his care in a person-centred way making sure that he is fully included in his care. Very impressed and excellent care.

When my husband was discharged from hospital I had to find homecare very quickly. Luckily, Right at Home Swindon were able to find staff -my husband needed two people morning and evening, as he was confined to bed 24/7. From the very first day they provided first class care, treating my husband with
dignity and friendship, telling him everything they were doing.
Nothing was too much trouble, they were always cheerful and on time, never intrusive, they made both our lives more bearable until my husband passed away. They made homecare what it should be.

I am married to my lovely wife, Sue, and have four children to keep to me busy. After many years working as an accountant in a variety of organisations including EMI, TNT and BBC Worldwide I am delighted to be moving into the world of home care. Whilst I am proud of what I have achieved in the past, my role as a Right at Home franchise owner is taking me into a whole new world where I can help to improve the quality of life for others.
Customer service has always been central to my work ethic and so it is a bonus that I can put this to good use in such a person-centred way. It is also a joy to be working with the bigger team at Right at Home who demonstrate their kindness and passion for care every day. To compliment my work I have become a dementia friend and now a dementia champion. I was amazed to discover how much can be done to improve the quality of life for those with dementia so long as you have the right knowledge.
Our company values are based firmly on person-centred care and everyone here at Right at Home Swindon is utterly devoted to maintaining those values. I have always had a passion for looking after others and find immense joy in making a positive impact in people's lives.


When I'm not at work, you can find me dancing - a hobby I've enjoyed since the tender age of 3. My role is to recruit new carers, set standards and give them the knowledge and confidence to provide good quality care to our clients.

A friendly, approachable person who shows a positive attitude. Someone who is compassionate and empathetic. Someone who shows a willingness to learn.


How does training prepare CareGivers for real-life situations?


We offer hands-on training. I have worked my way up from being a carer, so give real-life scenarios for the trainee.


How do you tailor training to meet different learning styles or needs?


Plan a range of lessons and different teaching techniques, as not all trainees will learn the same way.


How do you promote a caring and values-based culture from day one?


Clarify and inform new carers of Right at Home values and core expectations. We do our in-house training, and then new carers will do shadowing with long-serving carers at the beginning of their journey with us.


Frequently send out feedback forms to our carers to ensure they are happy within their jobs and to highlight any areas we can work on.

Marketing in the care sector is all about building trust, raising awareness, and showing the heart behind what we do.


Outside of work, I love staying active at the gym, travelling to new places, and going to music festivals and concerts.


How do you make sure our messaging reflects the quality and heart of our care?


I always aim to make our content feel genuine and reflective of the care we give. It’s not just about promoting services, it’s about sharing the stories and moments that show the compassion and connection between our CareGivers and clients. I take the time to listen to what’s really happening on the ground, then bring that to life through our messaging.


How do you highlight the voice of our clients and team in your work?


For me, the best way to show who we are is through the words of the people who experience it every day. I regularly gather feedback, quotes and stories from both clients and CareGivers. Their voices help others see the human side of what we do, and just how much care and thought go into every visit.

Marketing is often the first time someone comes across Right at Home, so it’s important that what they see is warm, clear and honest. I focus on building trust by showing who we are, how we work, and the values that guide us.
