The service provided to my mother is always very good and there are some carers who go above and beyond. My mam has Alzheimer's and the care shown to her is extremely considerate of her needs. The carers include my dad on their visits, making him feel reassured. Friendly and professional.

Pleased with the service we receive. If I had one negative side it would be to have the same carers on a regular basis, but would recommend My Homecare Assistance to others.

My mum started having carers a few weeks ago when she was struggling with her mobility. My sisters live locally, whereas I live in Lancashire and so I came to stay for a few days. The carers who I saw during this period were amazing! They were so friendly, hard-working and caring and really made a huge
difference to my mum’s day. They showed a real interest in my mum as a person and her family, and their positivity made a real impact. They spoke highly of the company they work for and the management team, which was also very reassuring. My sisters helped my mum arrange the care package and are also extremely pleased with the excellent service our mum is receiving. Although both my sisters visit regularly to help out, it’s reassuring for them to know that in between visits my mum is being so well cared for. The service also enables my mum to keep her independence, which is so important to her. Many thanks to the whole team at My Homecare Assistance.

I’m delighted with the person-centred approach to my sister’s care. From the initial contact with the care co-ordinator, to the day-to-day support, I’m so happy that my sister has been at the heart of everything. She’s managing things better in the home and accessing the community, even going swimming
with carers. When my sister is happy, we’re happy as a family. Well done to all the staff and carers supporting my sister.

My Homecare Assistance team provided top-quality palliative care for my mother-in-law. Every member of their team were highly skilled in bed rest care, promoted comfort and carried out personal care as well as pressure area care and care of her catheter. All staff were sensitive to the needs of my mother-in-law
and offered great support to the family when needed. This care was also arranged at very short notice as she wanted to be at home instead of in hospital. My Homecare Assistance made this happen.

Have not been with My Homecare very long but I have been pleased with the professionalism and caring attitudes of all the regular carers who are always willing to do whatever I need to have done.
They do not rush me in the mornings which is when I need the most help and I very much appreciate that.

Halifax Team - My dad needed help with daily care. Some days he needed little assistance, others he needed more, which was there if he wanted it.
He also enjoyed the company of the carers who met him, good rapport.
The company were recommended to us and was able to start at very short notice, for
which we were grateful.

Thank you.

My son (who has autism) uses your services and recently moved into one of your homes from residential care.
The manager in charge and his team have been exceptional on how they managed the entire move from A to B with respect to his comfort and behavior. They payed attention to detail and ensured that
in each aspect of the move and his eventual settling was as smooth as possible.
As a parent, I am regularly being updated in his transition and daily reports. In fact, my son seems to be very happy in his new environment in large part thanks to the manager and his team; who understood him; his likes and dislikes so fast and effectively making him feel so comfortable and happy.
Well done to the manager and his team; I would say they are extremely caring and professional in their job.

I am very happy with the standard and continuity of care provided. On the whole, my call times are met (this is an important issue for me) although some morning calls can be late when certain carers attend. The carers are friendly, attentive and adaptable to my changing needs.

Overall, the care is satisfactory. My main carer is very good and attends to my every need. The visiting carers seem to be in and out in no time and don't have time to talk.

Upon meeting staff who were assigned to the care of my daughter (recovering from catatonia/mental health issues), I was impressed with their enthusiasm and professionalism. In the transitional stage between hospital and placement, the staff covered hospital duties 24/7 and went the extra mile to ensure
a smooth move into placement. You could see the positive effect this had on my daughter and helped with her rehabilitation and recovery. Upon placement, my daughter went from strength to strength up to the Christmas period and the My Homecare staff can take credit for this. The staff act with utmost professionalism and keep me updated in relation to my daughter's care and needs.
Recently, there has been one or two issues which have caused by my daughter but staff have maintained a strong support and hopefully, through our good liason and working together, we can move forward.
To conclude, I would state that the staff team from My Homecare have contributed greatly, putting a lot of time and effort in trying to make my daughter's rehabilitation a success. They have been professional, caring and have my daughter at the heart of their daily duties.

Whilst the carers themselves are excellent I have dropped the number of stars given as, even though being in place for 4 weeks, they aren't recording the correct allocated and paid for time against my mother's care. This means that they do not have time to shower her which is what we increased the time
for on two days.
