My Homecare provided client-centred care at home for my aunt which enabled her to stay at home, before going into a nursing home. They were very responsive in the office and kept me updated at all times. Would definitely recommend to other families.

Whilst the carers are great and tend to my needs I have to start asking them to do things for me as at the minute I don't, I just say everything is fine even when it's not so they end up just emptying my bottle and going some days after 5 minutes.

The care my grandmother has received from My Homecare (Glenfield branch) and it has been exceptional. It was a big decision for my mum and dad to accept help for their mum (my grandmother). The help and support they have received from this branch of social care has helped make that decision easier.
We do not think that this aspect of care is valued enough in society, but hopefully, things will change as there are people out there who can enhance people's daily lives and we don't think you can put a price on that. The carers have been kind and considerate. If they cannot meet the expectations they will politely inform my mum, dad and grandmother. If there are any changes they are informed.

We can not thank you all enough for the help you have provided our family and wish you all the best and success for your future.

Thank you.

I can not praise the team enough who looked after my mam in her final days. The love and care they all gave her was amazing, they made me and my family’s life a lot easier at such a difficult time in our lives. Also, they were all very caring with me, my lovely dad (who is now unfortunately no longer
with us) and the rest of my family. We couldn’t have asked for more from them, you should be so proud of all of them.

When my mum came to stay with us she was very unwell and needing two people to help her. The care manager visited to assess her needs and actually helped me to deliver the care Mum needed at that time as I was struggling to cope.
We immediately felt safe being cared for by the 2 ladies chosen to visit
Mum. It was a new experience for her needing help with day to day activities but she completely relaxed and allowed them to help.
As she's recovered, the requirement for two people was not necessary and this was reduced to one by the care manager.
They were responsive to any requests and have worked with me to get Mum back into her own home.
I am so grateful for the help and support they have offered. If I was allowed to use names I would sing their praises highly!
Thank you so much!

We would certainly recommend My Homecare to others as we feel it offers a friendly, efficient and affordable service. The individual carers we’ve found to be personable and organised, and whenever we’ve needed to speak with someone at the office they’ve also been great.

I’ve received daily care from My Homecare Durham for several years now and I have found the management to be very helpful in accommodating and changes to my requirements, whether permanent or temporary. The individual carers have been well trained and do a great job. They are always prepared and happy
to go that extra step to ensure clients are well looked after. During the recent pandemic, my carers have taken all possible precautions and always appear wearing the necessary and appropriate PPE. I can highly recommend the company and its staff without reservation.

My Homecare Assistance were a tremendous support to my family when urgent care was needed for my mum who has dementia. They listened and were able to give me some really good advice and support and when I met the team I felt really comfortable considering this was a stressful and emotional time. They
talked to my mum like a person and was able to provide a night service carer who has been kind and patient with my mum and provided a really good report during her time with mum.

An excellent service all round when my father needed care at home. Friendly staff both in the office and assessment made them a pleasure to deal with. They were very flexible when the care needs intensified. I didn’t meet all the ladies who attended my father but he spoke highly of them. Thank you all
for your help and kindness.

The carers are mostly kind but mistakes do happen with messages through the office not being passed on. Certain carers do much more than required by the job, such as tempting me to eat or drink. This I am grateful for.

We are relatively new to home care and have had a great experience to date. The staff (carers and administrators) have been professional and efficient, kind and helpful. It was a big step for Dad to get used to people coming into his home and My Homecare have made it straightforward. We have had a few
small admin issues but they were sorted very quickly and easily.

The service is OK, I am afraid there is only 1 carer that we have that is exceptional and goes above and beyond. It appears the rest only do the minimum and I do not like asking, because to me it would be common sense.
I will be in touch with My Homecare Assistance to discuss my issues.

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.733 for The Care and Support Group County Durham is calculated as follows: ( (22 Excellents x 5) + (8 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 30 Ratings = 4.733

The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for The Care and Support Group County Durham is based on 5 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.25 + 0.25 = 4.5
