After a fall and a stay in hospital mum and I resigned to the fact that she needed some extra help. Our local steps team put us in touch with Balby Care, they came out and had an informal chat about mums needs. From the onset mum was chuffed to bits with her carer, she helped mum get up, washed, dressed with dignity then made her breakfast, prompted her medication. After making her bed and feeding the cat she’d have a quick chat while filling in mum's care plan. That was mum set up for the day, at night she would return again, prompt medication and help mum to bed. If there were any problems or concerns they’d ring me up and let me know. After a couple of weeks, it became clear that mum also needed a lunchtime visit as she was forgetting to get herself lunch. This wasn’t a problem and was set up for the very next day. Unfortunately, mum was taken ill suddenly and passed away.

I’m contented that mum was well looked after by Balby Care, they were mums angels and gave me peace of mind.
