I am very happy with the service we have received, the agency are very professional. The carer who has stayed the last 3 times developed a very good relationship with my father and I have every confidence in her.
Live In Care were able to meet our brief in terms of carers and timing with minimum fuss. They have never let us down which is the most important criteria for us.
My father's dignity is always maintained and his needs are put first.
The agency seems to require a huge amount of paperwork from the carer but I assume this is all part of the duty of care. The agency are quick to respond to any problem and have been excellent.
Live in Care listened to what the client required from the start and have responded very quickly to any problems i.e when the carer was ill. All carers have been kind and caring. The main carer now goes far beyond what is expected and brings little gifts back from Portugal. This makes the client feel special and not just a job. Great company and carers.
At the time I contacted Live In Care, mum's situation was pretty desperate and their visit to us in the depths of Winter was an absolute lifeline. Care was put in place very swiftly and has made an enormous difference to mum's quality of life and it is clear that with this level of support, she will be able to stay in her own home where she is most comfortable. Our carer has become part of the family and a true companion for mum and a very positive enhancement to her life. Live In Care has consistently provided high quality carers to cover respite breaks and mum adjusts well to having someone different for a short time. Compared to ever increasing care-home fees we feel that Live In Care is extremely good value for money.
Without the excellent care mum receives from her carers she would not be able to remain in her own home. She is treated with love and dignity even though she can be very difficult at times. As a family, we are so grateful to our wonderful carers who look after mum as we would want.
My mother who lived in the countryside with 2 cats, hens and ducks was able to enjoy her home and garden for over 2 years with the aid of live in carers, who cared for her and her animals on a daily basis. We found the carer well organised, endlessly patient and good humoured (on the whole). As a family, we are very grateful that they could stay with her as we are many miles away.
Everyone I have had contact with via the agency (ie carers, invoicing from the agency), have been very professional, delivering a high standard of care and support to my mum. Communication is good and everyone strives to make support as best as possible.
Live in care stepped in to look after my parents in their own home after they were both discharged from a long spell in hospital. The standard of care they have provided has been exceptional. The carers have all been very kind and considerate towards my parents - several in particular have been outstanding in their willingness to 'go the extra mile', taking them out on lovely day trips etc and bringing a lot of joy to their lives. I can't recommend this agency highly enough.
There was poor communication between agency, carers and myself. Carers seemed ill equipped to manage needs of the client. There was a large turnover of carers which was impacting on client well-being. Finally, a carer was found who had the necessary skills to support the client.
Once the agency had recognised the particular skills being demonstrated by this carer, they were able to identify a second carer to work with the first carer. I had to be constantly pro-active in managing the carers, doing a return journey of 300 miles for changeovers.
Over the course of the past two months, communication between the agency and myself has improved. I now have more confidence that the agency is putting in place appropriate checks and balances to monitor placements and to provide an effective service to their clients.
I am now much happier about their effectiveness as a care agency providing 24 hour live in carers.
