Following a debilitating injury, I simply couldn't have managed living alone without the excellent support from the Home Instead team. Friendly, stable staffing, facilitated the companionship element of daily support. My family, four hours drive away, were reassured that I was safe and well-supported every day. I have no hesitation in recommending this high-quality team who put personalised care first.
Lovely staff - punctual - meets all Mother-in-law's needs - regular reviews, easy to contact.
Regular and dependable in attendance. Do not do much for me physically. Occasional showers but put cream on legs and do eye drops. I try to do it myself. They do that a bit but always in a hurry. Notes do not always fit what has been done.
The carers are excellent in helping my mother to wash, dress and taking her medication. Nothing is too much trouble for them and if they notice anything wrong they contact me immediately. It is nice to know that the company do regular reviews to make sure that everything is OK with the care package and that we are happy with the care given. I definitely would recommend this company to everyone. Thank you.
When my main carer from Home Instead arrived, she asked me what I wanted her to do and I said keep my wife company and that is all I have ever asked, but by now, 2 years down the line, she has taken over looking after my wife and all household chores to the to the point where all I have to do is shopping and some food preparation, everything else like running a home is taken care of by the carers.
When she is away, she has arranged for other carers who are just as pleasant, caring and helpful to cover for her.
Since having carers, my life has become much easier to manage and I am pleased that my family persuade me into having carer assistance.
Professional and friendly service provided by Home Instead Senior Care (Retford and Gainsborough). Always arrive at arranged times with a smile on their faces, willing to display a degree of flexibility when a situation calls for it. Completely satisfied with service provided to date. A relatively new user of service but with high expectations of continuous good service.
I have found Home Instead Senior Care (Retford) to be a very professional and caring organisation. Each week Home Instead carers visit my mother in her nursing home and support her to get ou7t into the community and undertake an activity of her choice, these include going to church, going out for something to eat or enjoying a drive in the local area. My mother has dementia and I know she appreciates the opportunity to have some one-to-one time with someone she trusts and who she has built up a close relationship with. I really feel that Home Instead go the extra mile in their work, each week I am able to read a report on what my mother has done and any concerns the carer has raised with the nursing home. I know my mother is in very professional and caring hands.
Very good quality of care and attention to individual needs.
When we have wanted to make changes to increase the care package, it appears that every effort has been made.
Only been let down once in 6 months and that was through sudden illness. Phone call to inform.
Care giver arrives at 0800 hours and helps my wife to the shower room using a walking frame, helping her to shower and dry. Then she puts her dressing gown on and helps with walker back to the lounge. Care giver then cleans up shower room and makes the bed. I get clients meals: wash pots and cloths.
Calls are much appreciated when problems have arisen.
The carers cater for the client's needs and reviews take place regularly to ensure new needs are met.
The carers are very thoughtful, taking mum to visit a friend, trips to the garden centre and local shops etc...
I have found Home Instead to be an excellent company in their care for my mother.
They are very organised, efficient and caring.
They have treated my mother with great respect and carefully noted her wishes in the care plan.
The carers they have employed have been well trained and supported.
The recording system is well designed and can be accessed by all.
I recommend them highly as a care company and wish them well for the future.
This agency is fantastic- the carers are sensitive, responsive and thoughtful. They go the extra mile. The carers have all fitted in to our family and ethos.
Home Instead Senior Care provided an excellent sitting service for my husband who has complex medical problems. I had 100% confidence in the care that was provided. The kindness and professional care was superb. I would highly recommend the company.
Prompt efficient service during set up. Clear services and charges. Chosen carer has been excellent and exceeded our hopes. Mum is very happy and gaining in confidence. I would recommend them highly.
Home Instead have been providing help for my husband who has dementia and is confined to bed for some months now. Sometimes I may not ask for help until a few days before required, but always they provide the care needed. The management are pleasant and very efficient. The carers are warm, friendly. amusing and very caring. I could not possibly manage without them and it enables me to keep my husband at home. I would not hesitate to recommend this agency to anyone. In fact, I should perhaps have ticked the box excellent for your last questions but did not want to look unimaginative/boring!
I initially contacted Home Instead last year to enquire about respite care for my mother whilst my husband and I were away on holiday. I could not have chosen a better care agency. The staff did everything possible to ensure that my mother was well looked after whilst we were away and any fears of leaving my mother on her own were soon allayed. Towards the end of last year my mother underwent a hip revision operation and after 6 weeks in hospital was discharged. I had to contact Home Instead at short notice to enquire about providing daily rehabilitation care for my mother as our local authority were unable to provide a suitable rehabilitation care package, Once gain, the staff at Home Instead were unbelievably efficient in proving the care that we required. They have also been invaluable in accompanying my mother to hospital appointments when I have been unable to accompany her due to work commitments. I would certainly have no hesitation in recommending Home Instead to anyone requiring professional and supportive care. Not only does Home Instead look after the people they provide care to but they are also extremely empathetic to the worries and concerns of their relatives.
We are happy with the help we are receiving. Our carer is friendly, cheerful and efficient.
From the first point of contact and care provided at a time of crisis, we have been very pleased with the professional and personalised care and support.
