We Initially used Home Instead for weekend live in care for Mum but as her dementia progressed, we went to full time live in care. I cannot sing their praises enough! Our whole experience from start to finish was absolutely amazing. The communication between our family and the two managers was second to none. They always bent over backwards to meet mums needs and nothing was too much trouble. They matched the carers with mums needs and personality and always closely monitored any changes to her condition. They were always at the end of the phone if needed and very quick to respond to messages. Mum thrived with home insteads care and continues to live happily and safely in her own home. I can't recommend this company enough. They go above and beyond to ensure your loved one is safe and happy

Overall Experience
Generally the care from Hime Instead has been great. There have been a few times when things haven't quite worked out with certain care pros, but these were dealt with by.the managers.

All the staff from Home Instead are really helpful and on hand to talk to if I need to. I get on really well with everyone and have a good relationship with the team.

I can't thank Home instead enough for all the support, help and professionalism during a very difficult time for my aunt my family and myself. My aunt is not always the easiest person to deal with but Home instead came out and matched care for her. The first carers were not quite the right match for her but not a problem as Home instead came back and changed the carers to find the perfect carers and to be honest I feel that they become more than carers and part of the family!

The carers from Home Instead were exceptional with Mum and took the time to truly get to know her, building strong and meaningful relationships. Mum even referred to some of them as friends, and there was always plenty of laughter and happy moments during their visits.
Mum is fiercely independent, and her carers respected this completely by working alongside her wherever possible, rather than simply doing things for her. This helped her maintain a real sense of autonomy and dignity. The care provided was consistently compassionate, thoughtful, and understanding.
Communication with the care coordinator and administrative team was also excellent, with outstanding attention to detail throughout. Home Instead were always accommodating, especially when Mum needed additional support at short notice.

I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking for compassionate and reliable care for a loved one.

Overall Experience

Home Instead provided my severely disabled son with 24 hour live-in care. The carers are wonderful - they listen to what care my son asks for, provide it with dignity, and they go above and beyond to ensure his well being. They take him and his dog out every day for walks, to meet friends and generally access the community. They are well trained and feel very well supported by management. My son feels confident, secure and happy with his care package. Thank you Home Instead.

Overall Experience

For over a year, Home Instead has cared for my father who has recently passed away and my mother who has severe dementia. The level of commitment, compassion and professionalism shown by all carers whilst carrying out this very demanding role has been outstanding. I have always been informed on a daily basis of the situation and of any issues that occur. The management team have always been available to support my parents, my family and the care staff. They regularly visit to ensure that all is well and respond quickly when issues arise.

Overall Experience

I am the power of attorney for an elderly lady who lives in Bristol. Home instead is a flexible care provider able to fill in at the last minute when other care cannot be provided. Their carers provide support and company for us, when loneliness may otherwise be a problem. Costs are very reasonable, and I think is very competitive when compared to a care home.

Home Instead has been a total godsend for my mum. From hourly care to 24 hr care, they've been able to support as mum's condition has changed and evolved. The live-in office team are fabulous and certain carers virtually become part of your family. Their app really helps you keep an eye when you can't be everywhere all at once.

Overall Experience
All carers were trustworthy and attentive. This is fundamentally important and, in our experience, Home Instead excel at.
Whilst Home Instead focus on matching carers with those being cared for, inevitably, if the person being cared for has a stong personality, 'preferred' carers arise if multiple carers are being used.
This translated to high enthusiasm when most carers came, but some less positive feelings (certainly not negative) when a less preferred carer was on the rota.
It is important to 'try out' carers before agreeing to a long term committment.

Generally we were very pleased with the service.

Carers are excellent and communication good. It genuinely feels as though the carers have a strong relationship with mum and have taken time to really get to know her. She values her independence and the care offered has ensured she can stay in her own home. The schedulers and care coordinator also show high levels of empathy and understanding and communicate well with me as mum's relative.

The team members always gave superb care and were prepared to adjust their role and step up with more duties as my husband's condition worsened. Always sympathetic and supportive to him and myself and their visits were always cheering and happy. They were observant, looking for things to do which would help and supportive us both. They genuinely cared and wanted to do their best for us. It was a relief and a pleasure to see them each time.

My husband has recently started receiving companion care with Home Instead. From the outset I have been very pleased with the service provided. The initial assessment was thorough and I felt that the manager really wanted to know as much as possible about my husband in order to match him with a suitable carer.
The carer has been coming now for a number of weeks. Initially my husband was distressed and very unhappy.The carer has been patient, sensitive and kind and has gradually developed a relationship with my husband who is now much happier to see him and willing to engage in activities with him.This has been lovely to see.

I would highly recommend Home Instead to anyone considering care for their loved one.

Home care companionship has been a life line, removing boredom in later years, engaging in creative activities which has stimulated new pathways in the brain. Caring friendly companionship has created a more emotionally settled mind.

I have used the Homeinstead Service for almost three years during which time I have always been more than satisfied with the service it has provided! My carer (of almost 3 years) is excellent and whenever she is not available an alternative person has been provided who likewise has been very good. As I have recently reported I am impressed with the services's holistic approach to people's care - especially as a lot of us are vulnerable with complex needs and for this I am very grateful.

Overall Experience

Dad has had three weekly visits in his own home for nearly two years. Without the care and concern of the Home Instead team he would not have been able to remain so independent in his own environment. The ladies who come to visit are always friendly and no job is too large or small, even down to sharing Dad's taste in music on his CD player!! I would definitely recommend this service to anyone who is needing to start the process of supporting a loved one. The staff in the office are always friendly and helpful and there is obviously a good level of communication to the team going in to Dad when events occur out of the ordinary so he can be supported appropriately. Thank you to the whole team.

We're so pleased that we found Home Instead when Dad needed care. Dad and the family have been brilliantly supported by the whole team, especially when times got hard and dementia started to take its toll. There is a huge amount of love, support and expertise within the team, for whom nothing is too much. Right up until the end, they nurtured Dad, and are now helping to look after Mum with the same excellent level of care. Thank goodness for Home Instead.

Home Instead North Bristol Branch; The care my mother received was second to none. The carers were amazing going above and beyond to help Mum in any way they could. The office staff were always on hand to speak to. Out-of-hours service when Mum was in hospital so I could let them know at all times what was happening, was excellent. I can't recommend this company enough. We are very sorry to have to give them up as Mum is now in a nursing home. Her carers have visited her already though so she is really pleased to keep in touch with them.
