When placing a beloved member of a family into a care of a complete stranger, for however long or short a time, the two most important words are trust and honesty and have found both in Home Instead senior care. From the first phone call, we received understanding and help and we were dealt with professionally and personally. The caregiver has become part of the family but only as great or small, that the client and family wish, we look forward to your continued commitment and thank you all at Home Instead.
We have been really impressed by the team at Home Instead. Both the management and the various carers provided excellent care to my mother. Especially recently, when we needed urgent help over the weekend, and they were quick and happy to respond.
My sister has received excellent care and kindness from her personal carers and also those arranging her home care. I, also, have had good back up when needed to keep her safe and well.
The care, kindness and effort of 'the team' in supporting my parents is exemplary. All staff are helpful, understanding and patient. I have been particularly impressed, during the months of the coronavirus, with the cleanliness and hygiene brought into the home, by carers, in dealing with whatever may need to be done. Everyone is friendly and cheerful and always wears a smile! A huge 'thank you' to everyone.
I have been receiving care from Home Instead for over four years. I am continually impressed by all the staff and carers. I feel extremely supported which allows me to live as independently as possible.
We were recommended Home Instead a couple of years ago. Mum began to have difficulty with her mobility and with personal care. As is often the case when we advance beyond our 90th year, Mum's needs have varied over the intervening time and I can confirm that the Home Instead team have been fantastically understanding and responsive. For example, when Mum had a fall the team were able to increase the frequency of visits and care within 24 hours with no complaint nor fuss. Mum has enjoyed both companionship and personal care from the team at Home Instead. Carers frequently go above and beyond what might be expected of them - staff going so far as to purchase and fit decorations for mum's walker to encourage her to use it a little more. It has clearly been a difficult (Covid) year for us all - I think it would have been more tricky without support from the team at Home Instead.
The team at Home Instead provided an excellent service that went above and beyond what would have been expected. It wasn’t an easy process to get visits established and to keep them running (due to the client, not the team). We are so grateful for all the extra care and effort that was made. I found that the team was always open to communication and it was always easy to get hold of people when needed. The service has only stopped now as the client has moved out of the area.
I can only express my deep gratitude to the team at Home Instead who have been wonderful. My circumstances mean that based overseas I was unable to come to the UK at the critical time for my father's admission to a nursing home due to Covid-19. I cancelled the flight on the Friday before the Monday of my father's admittance. The Home Instead team took on this onerous task and delivered him to the front door where he was admitted (restrictions applying). There has been regular contact throughout the period since - restrictions permitting - and a check kept on my parent's house. Being so far away I can only tell you how thankful I am to the Home Instead team for managing this in my absence in what we all know is and has been very trying times. If anyone wanted any proof of the professional approach and going above and beyond then please accept my experience as evidence of this because I can't recommend the team enough. Excellent people and thank you!
My mother was recommended Home Instead when she began to need help with her mobility problems. She was determined to live in her own house as long as possible. Eventually, carers came three times a day. They were invaluable. All went out of their way to help her. She saw them as friends as much as carers and looked forward to their visits. During the pandemic, they helped to give her a good quality of life which would otherwise have been desperately low. She loved all her 'girls', as she called them. Thank you to a marvellous organisation!
The call was followed by a home visit to meet Mum and me, with lots of information taken to help select carers who were a good match.
The carers have felt like family, concerned for Mum’s happiness and welfare, and understanding of her medical condition. Home Instead organised three days respite care so I could take a break, and also, at very short notice when Mum’s condition suddenly deteriorated, supplied personal care services.
All of the managers, office staff and carers are compassionate, caring and dedicated, taking trouble to provide a really personal care package and wanting to give the best possible service and support to their clients and family members. They have made a huge difference to our lives and I can’t praise them highly enough.
Despite an initial reluctance to ask for help the carers assigned to my husband have all been well trained, sympathetic and extremely willing to help in any way. Excellent work.
He looks forward to twice-weekly visits from his Carer who works with him to ensure he has all he needs. She will shop, take him to appointments, go for walks or just have a cup of tea and chat.
It can not be overestimated how vital her visits and help has been this last year.
As a long distance relative, I am able to have direct and immediate contact with Home Instead if I have any concerns and have absolute confidence that they will do everything possible to allay my worries.
They are a company I would not hesitate to recommend.
When my mother agreed to travel to Norfolk to stay with her daughter over the Christmas period, there was much planning and organising to do, which made it difficult for the family due to Covid restrictions.
Home Instead made all the arrangements in terms of planning that my mother had all and sufficient medications for the trip and this included providing a detailed checklist on dosage/timing etc.
Clothes were chosen and packed, the house cleaned, and everything prepared up the time when my mother could be collected and to begin her journey.
On her return a week later, Home Instead was on hand to ensure that mother settled back in, clothes unpacked and safely put to bed. Normal visits continued from the next morning. A first-class service.
The standard of care is excellent. I find the team incredibly supportive and helpful, to the client and to his wife, as well as to me. Great thought and care is taken in providing a stimulating experience for my dad. All caregivers have been genuine and have been so well motivated to provide a happy and positive experience for my dad. This has been particularly challenging because of covid. I find the support of the office team, particularly the director, completely wonderful. I think we would be lost without the support of Home Instead. I feel it is one of the best decisions I have ever made to reach out to them. Just brilliant.
Home Instead Bristol North provides extraordinary care. They go above and beyond in their service. I’m in the USA and my aunt is in Bristol. As soon as she was placed in their care and I interacted with the staff, I had complete peace of mind that she couldn’t be in better hands. They kept me informed and treated her as if she were a member of their family, making sure she was comfortable and safe, taking her on outings, shopping with her initially, then for her later. Always looking for ways to improve her care and situation. She thought of them as her best friends. I highly recommend them to any family needing this service.
The ladies from Home Instead have been extremely professional and absolutely fantastic in the care they have provided over the last few months. They have gone beyond the call of duty to support my aunt on a weekly basis and more recently at a time of crisis. Without them, my aunt would have been unable to remain at home and would have struggled to cope. She looks forward to their visits and highly praises all who have helped. Thank you so much.
An agency that cares and goes the extra mile, carers that care who are truly angels.
A manager who you know as he meets us and we feel truly looked after and we meet our carers before, so are not left wondering who will be coming.
It's very good.
We are more than pleased with the care we receive from our carer. We are treated with great respect. It has made a big difference to our life. We would recommend them first to anyone. Thank you very much.
I have met many of the team and all are passionate about their jobs and always happy to help, it’s the can-do attitude which is rarely found that makes them special.
I have peace of mind that my mum is in the best hands.
