We needed a few ad hoc nights of cover for the care of my terminally ill Mother, having had over two weeks with hardly any sleep. I was impressed by the way in which my enquiry was handled by the manager. We knew that Mum had very little time left and so it was hugely important to us to be able to spend the last few days of Mum's life by her side as a family and not to be so tired that we were unable to function, let alone be a comfort to her. We had one carer stay with Mum for two nights and then another carer for the third night. Both were kind, calm, caring and understanding and carried out their duties discreetly and quietly. They handed over to us in the morning and took their time to explain how Mum had been. Although we were staying in the flat, on one of the carers first night Mum was particularly agitated and we gave the carer the details of The Rosemary Foundation Hospice at Home Nurses who we suggested she call if she felt it necessary and then to wake us, which she did calmly and utterly professionally.
Thanks so much for your very kind words. We feel privileged to have been chosen to look after your loved one.
The staff and carers at Right at Home are exceptional and really helped and supported my Mum right to the end. Just wonderful, would highly recommend their services. With the assistance of Right at Home, my Mum was able to pass naturally, with dignity, in her own bed, in her own home.
Thank you so much for your very kind words. It was our privilege to care for your mum.
I am eternally grateful for the assistance that Right At Home (Portsmouth) have provided over the last few months - without all of Dad's carers being so amazing I don't know how Dad or I would have managed. I never expected that engaging a care agency would have gone so smoothly or that I would have been met with such a 'can-do' attitude for every single issue that arose.
I do not often give reviews but this is a very willing exception. The staff and service here are all exceptional. Nothing is beyond the carers and they regularly go the extra mile. I have previously been my husband's only carer and handing over was something I did with not a little trepidation. I had been supplied with other agencies after hospitalisation and so was very cautious. I should not have worried - Right at Home is exactly that. I leave my husband in their care with total confidence and know he will be happy when I return. I cannot recommend it highly enough. I believe you get what you pay for and you really do here.
Thanks so much for your very kind words. We feel privileged to have been chosen to look after your loved one.
I spent many years working as a District Nurse, and my experience of agencies and their staff was not good with staff arriving at various times or sometimes not at all, and having to complete care in what I thought was unacceptable time scales. I was reluctant to engage the services of an agency, however, having reached a crisis point in the middle of lockdown, I cannot thank Right at Home enough for stepping in and restoring my faith in care agencies. The staff arrive as planned and it's always the same people that visit. Mum is not always accepting of them (her dementia is the reason she may not be some days) but they remain professional and caring. I feel as a family, we have an excellent relationship both with the carers and office staff, and the support they provide enables us to continue to keep my mum at home.
Many thanks for your very kind words and for allowing us the privilege to support your mum.
At first, the agency visited twice a day helping with household chores and making a sandwich for lunch and a microwave meal for supper. Mum at first was very unsure after the first day I spoke to her and she said a "lovely lady had been and she was very pleased" other lovely ladies appeared and she liked the company and the support. Mum's support continued to increase Mum was treated as an individual still maintaining her independence. Mum required night support so we had someone staying each night with support during the day. From February this year we have had a full-time carer living in. Sadly mum passed away on August 23rd aged 96 at home. Right at Home staff treated her with respect, the standard of care was excellent and any problems were dealt with very professionally myself and the family would recommend Portsmouth Right at Home.
Thank you so much for your very kind words and for the privilege of allowing us to provide support to your mum.
I can not praise Right at Home enough for their professional, caring and kind service. My father has advanced Alzheimer's and is very difficult to deal with but it didn't phase the carer he built up a relationship with my father and was so very patient and maintained my father's dignity at all times. He was brilliant with my mum who was caring for my father providing an understanding ear and a positive attitude at all times. Sadly my father could not remain at home as his Alzheimer's had gotten far to difficult to deal with but by using Right at Home it meant my father could remain in his own home for much longer.
Many thanks for the opportunity and privilege to support your dad.
We have been using the services of Right at Home (Portsmouth) since July 2019. I can only thank them for the support and care they provide to my mother, and would not hesitate to recommend their service which is caring, reliable and professional. From the initial telephone call to the office, the assessment visit to discuss my mother’s needs and to the regular care that she now receives, I have never been anything other than highly satisfied.
Many thanks for your kind words. We have been privileged to care for your mum.
From the very start Right at Home have been nothing but kind and caring. They listen to your needs and provide a care package accordingly. Since Mum fell ill last year they have been helping us, and when lockdown started and our own ability to help Mum was limited, Right at Home stepped up too by increasing their visits. They are flexible, responsible and really caring. Mum's carers are really wonderful and we are so grateful for everything they do.
Many thanks for these very kind words regarding our service. It is very much appreciated.
Right at Home were extremely accommodating, arranging personal care for my father at an early start which he preferred and which they always accomplished, never being late and always providing reliable and caring staff. Both my father and I were really happy with all their staff.
Many thanks for your review. We really appreciate your very kind words.
Right at Home employ a good calibre of caregiver and they look after our mum very well. We have three one hour visits per day to supervise pill-taking, washing, meal making and deliver and some cleaning. The caregivers are polite, punctual, pleasant and well presented. The house is kept well and they interact well with mum. We have had other care providers and Right at Home are definitely superior in every way. The company is well run and if we were looking for the best care for our parent again, we would choose Right at Home.
The overall service is first class and I don't know what I would do without them, they really do care.
Many thanks for the kind words. We are privileged to support you.
Right at Home are a superb company and the care is really excellent and very professional in a specialist way. I suffer with brittle bones, carers are kind, go out their way to please and encourage to head towards whatever you want to achieve - in my case my hobbies, painting, creative writing. The office match client to carer and hobbies. Right At Home are the best in my view.
It is so humbling and rewarding to be able to support our clients to achieve their goals. Thank you so much for your very kind words.
I am enormously grateful to Right at Home - both office staff and carers - for their wonderful support and care of my elderly father in his last months. Dad was very fortunate to have such a fantastic team of carers who always impressed with their care, kindness and genuine love for their work.
Many thanks for your very kind words regarding our service. It was our pleasure and privilege to support.
The service was set up promptly at the point when the support became needed. Mum's care plan was carefully constructed by Right at Home, was tailored to meet Mum's precise requirements and was delivered flexibly to ensure her needs were met. The managers we met at this stage were empathetic and clearly explained the formalities and practicalities of providing the care. An example of the organisation's responsiveness involved one of the managers stepping in to provide personal assistance to Mum during an initial set-up visit before our contract had been established.
All the carers who supported Mum were very caring and engaged with her in a professional but human way.
Right at Home kept us informed about how Mum was doing. We were particularly impressed by the way carers noticed aspects of Mum's lifestyle and needs and made suggestions about practical ways her life at home could be improved.
Thank you for your very kind words. It was our privilege and pleasure to assist your mum to live independently in her own home for as long as possible. She had such a good rapport with our staff who continue to ask after her well-being.
Right at Home are an exceptional care provider. They were consistently on time and provided a high level of care. They made my father, a very proud man, feel at ease and he was always very positive about his life through their genuine interest in him. I felt that they really cared about his and my mothers overall well-being on a very personal level. I cannot praise them enough.
Many thanks for this very thoughtful review. We are proud and privileged to support our clients and their families.
Having phoned a few care agencies I was delighted when I got through to Right at Home Portsmouth. On the phone, they were lovely, management good and carers excellent. Having not received outside care before my dad was delighted with the care and also company they gave him. He was treated with dignity and friendship. This, in turn, allowed me more freedom to go out knowing he was in good hands. I would not hesitate to recommend them to others.
The sitter that came to us was lovely, friendly and very professional. She arrived on time every week and my husband was pleased with her company. She helped my husband to make tea safely and was always cheerful. Unfortunately, my husband no longer needs the assistance and we miss her coming each week.
I had wonderful care.
My experience with Right at Home overall has been really good.
2. Presentation very good.
3. Communication with the client is good.
4. Dealing with the patient is good.
