Excellent care provided for my wife who suffers from Parkinson's disease. We receive a weekly schedule of visits so always know who to expect. Carers very experienced and conscientious. They work hard to meet my wife's needs and show great patience and understanding.

From the moment I made the initial telephone call to Right at Home (Portsmouth), I was treated with courtesy, patience and professionalism. The assessment visit to our home to discuss services provided and clients needs was thorough and reassuring. The manager who carried out this assessment was a charming person and gave my husband and I complete confidence in using Right at Home (Portsmouth) - SHE LISTENED. The care provider who has looked after my husband is delightful and I have no reservations about leaving my husband in her sole care and her ability to attend to his needs in my absence. In a word EXCELLENT.

A truly great service - rapid and efficient prompt replies to all queries and very flexible. Not to mention the high standard of care. We were very happy and it really put our minds at rest to know my mother-in-law was being looked after so well.

I'm absolutely pleased with the service. All the staff are friendly and I can't fault them at all. My son has taken to them all including the management. It is very rare as he doesn't take to everyone, in fact, this is the 1st time. This has made things a lot easier for me. My son is happy and I am happy. They will always go above and beyond to help my son and I.

My mother was very happy in the company of these helpful people. They were very polite and cheerful and my mother had some lovely chats with them when they were attending her.

They were extremely helpful, willing to give a hand at anything that needed doing. I was very pleased with the help they gave my mother and would recommend them to anybody who needs the sort of help they can provide.

The whole team were absolute life savers. My father needed urgent immediate care. I made contact via the website and got a telephone call back within the hour. We were assessed a couple of days later in the morning with carers in place by that same evening. Everyone was so kind and friendly and treated my father with the utmost respect and dignity. They were also very understanding and kind when talking to me and my mother as the traumatic situation we found ourselves in was very sudden and unexpected. Altering care arrangements and general communication with the team was very easy and straightforward throughout and the carers were always very prompt and reliable. I would definitely use them again if we need any further care, and would highly recommend them to anyone in need.

Thank you again for all your help and kindness.

I needed help quickly to cover care for an elderly father when my mother was taken into hospital unexpectedly. Right at Home responded quickly, assessing our needs and providing excellent staff at very short notice. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff were brilliant with dad putting him at ease in a stressful situation. They remained flexible while we were uncertain how long they would be needed for. Would definitely recommend.

A very professional, friendly and caring management and staff. They are very interactive with my mother in law on all their visits. Their actions with her when carrying out their duties of feeding, moving and her personal hygiene are excellent. They always communicate with her when carrying out their duties and also encourage her to eat and drink. Also assists in making her menus enjoyable.

Having worked for over 30 years in the aerospace industry, I decided it was time for a change and to aim for a better quality of life for not just me and my family but those in the community around us.

Becoming a Right at Home owner has helped me to achieve just that. The important things in life for me are family and faith. I am married to Madeline and we have been blessed with four daughters and six grandchildren. I am an active member of my local church and help with different ministries, including visiting the sick, elderly and vulnerable in their homes and providing transport when required. I also coordinate our church’s contributions to the local foodbank.

I have a passion for helping people particularly the most vulnerable in our society. Right at Home Portsmouth has given me the opportunity to transform my compassion for caring into my daily job as well as creating the space in my life for more active voluntary activity within the local community.

Madeline, and I look forward to helping you, and we are always available, be it for a chat or for immediate assistance.

Horse riding is a big part of my life; I have been riding since I was 5 years old. I even have my own horse called Woody.

I enjoy socialising with friends, going to festivals, travelling and seeing new things.

My friends and family would say that I have a composed attitude and great organisational skills when planning social events.

I am always seeking to gain new qualifications by doing different courses alongside my current role.

Also, I am hoping to complete some qualifications in care and maybe pursue a university degree in the future.
