The cost of Home Care will vary depending on the type of care you need, how often you need it, and where you live. We offer everything from 30 minute visits to 24 hour Live-in Care. If you have more complex needs, you may need two Home Carers per visit, so we can provide a cost for this too.
Live-in Care is generally considered to be a cost effective alternative to living in a care home, whilst still providing a level of independence. Everyone’s needs are different so the costs of Live-in Care can vary depending on the level of care required. Unlike other Home Care options, the costs of our Live-in Care remains the same wherever you live across the South of England.
We adapt our Home Care services to suit your specific requirements. Our Home Care costs include a personalised care plan, ensuring your care suits your needs, wishes and budget.

I am sure that the care you gave to Mother significantly extended her life and gave her a better quality of life in that time. Previously she had a succession of minor illnesses but the improvement in taking medication, diet and help with washing and food preparation gave her a healthier life. Several times I have been just calling in and doing business on the farm before seeing Mother, and when coming in I have overheard the carer dealing with Mother, they always spoke to her so sweetly and kindly, and so patiently it brought me joy to think her world was made so pleasant. Mother could often be a 'difficult' character to deal with but you always saw past that. All the interaction with you has gone so smoothly it has freed me from that worry and allowed me to get on with being POA for Mother's affairs and enjoying purely social visits to her. The general smoothness and your professionalism makes life so much easier.

I find all my carers excellent - helpful, caring, empathetic. Wonderful. However, the manager leaves a lot to be desired; constantly altering my visit times without notice to either the carers or myself. She displays a coldness towards her carers, in matters such as sickness, which I find inexplicable. Also, she does not seem to understand the danger I am in with narcolepsy and cataplexy - eg. one thing that causes it is surprise, and yet she has sent carers unknown to me many times. An example of this happened only this morning when a member of staff, who I have not seen for ages, arrived and I collapsed immediately. In the past, I have collapsed in the street as well.
We are clearly disappointed to read this review. We always make it clear to all clients and families that our carers are all trained to the same high standard and although we try to accommodate the same carers visiting the same clients for each call this is not always possible, especially whilst...
Alina Homecare have provided an excellent service to my mum for the last 18 months increasing visits from 3 times a day to now 4 times a day. Mum is always happy to see them. They are kind, caring and considerate and will go out of their way to help my mum and myself. They have stayed with Mum when they have found her on the floor and sought assistance straight away, keeping the family informed. They have been outstanding during these difficult times keeping Mum safe and going out of their way to assist in any way they are able. I cannot speak too highly of them.

My dad suffered several strokes around 4 or 5 years ago and we have used Alina Homecare ever since. All the staff at Alina are punctual, caring, friendly and our whole family get on very well with all of the carers. Alina has never made my dad feel embarrassed and always treated him with respect and dignity. They are always happy to help with whatever is needed and are very supportive. My father can be a difficult character and all of the staff cheer him up and never fail to make him smile when they see him every evening. My carers are amazing. I would not survive without them.
The standard of the care personnel provided by Alina was acceptable. However, the charging for time beyond the contracted hours (charged in 15-minute blocks) is very steeply in favour of the provider and in my opinion is being abused to extract additional monies from the client. For example, the invoice entries on my parent's account showed the carer was allegedly there exactly 1 minute into the excess charge window, on more than 1 occasion. I'm highly suspicious of this practice and recommend anyone who is using Alina to have it stated in writing that care providers can only stay beyond their contracted hours if it is agreed with the client on the day before the contracted hours are exceeded. I was expecting higher standards of operation from Alina. We have now switched provider and are very happy with the new service, there are no such financial issues to deal with.

Used Alina for care visits 3-times a day for my mother who lives some distance from me. Lovely carers who provided great care for my mum giving me peace of mind each day that she had everything she needs. Good communication with carers and managers. Would use again and recommend.
The staff from Alina have been caring for my mother in her home for the past few years. She is now 95 with a diagnosis of Alzheimer's. As my mother's health deteriorated, they needed to be more patient and give her more support. They did so, and the managers were very helpful in identifying different ways in which they (and I) could do this. Latterly the social worker asked for morning and evening visits to help with personal care and medication. My mother was often reluctant for their help which limited what they were able to do, but they did as much as they could, handled her very well and kept me well informed. As the relationship evolved, they supported both my mother and me, and I cannot speak highly enough about them. The managers are experienced and helpful, and staff I had contact with were lovely, I am happy to recommend them to anyone needing personal care for an elderly person on their own.

My aunt has been receiving regular care for a couple of years. Alina Homecare have provided first-class carers and service which has enabled my aunt to continue to live in her own home and has given me confidence that she is safe and has everything she needs.
I have found all the carers extremely friendly and helpful. Their visit timings are very accurate and they are willing to stay on longer if needed. All of them leave the shower and bathroom very clean and tidy.
Alina Homecare in Hemel Hempstead have been caring for my mother-in-law since December 2018 starting with just a few visits a week, however, her condition has deteriorated rapidly and she now has several visits each day. The carers have all been brilliant and there are one or two of her regular carers who are absolutely outstanding!
I find the management at Alina very good, readily available on the phone or in person, easy to talk to and open to consider whatever we feel would be best for Mum. Alina have been able to change/increase her care package remarkably quickly which has made things run smoothly for us and knowing that the carers are there so often has taken a lot of pressure off the family. Yes, there may be the occasional change to staff or timing that upsets Mum but they are always ready to listen and try to solve any problems.
I would highly recommend the Hemel Hempstead branch of Alina Homecare to anyone needing home care for themselves or their loved ones in this area.
In my experience, the team at Alina provide a quality of service that is of an extremely high standard that instils peace of mind for both client and relatives.
The team are always approachable and where necessary receptive to implementing change if required. Alina adopts a telephone check in and out policy and provides legible daily record keeping, essential for traceability.
