Right at Home Reigate & Crawley

My 87-year-old mum had a couple of falls and went into a home for a few weeks earlier for pain management and physiotherapy and to give time for a downstairs bedroom and bathroom to be created at home. My brother and I wanted to make sure she was safe and happy in her own home. Right at Home offer a very flexible, tailored service. They list every activity with which my mum needs help, such as showering, meal preparation and accompanying her on local walks. Via their app, every visit is recorded with full details of what the carer has done and how my mum is. This is very reassuring for the family. They also check (at our request) whether she shows any signs of confusion, and make sure she drinks plenty of liquid to help prevent UTIs. The carers are very friendly and helpful and my mum enjoys chatting to them. She has two visits a day but, with a few days' notice we can add, remove or move the times to fit in with my mum's schedule. They also take her to the GP for routine appointment.

Mum has been able to get back to her original fitness levels after a fall which I don't think would have been possible without their help.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Right at Home.

A couple of years ago, Right at Home cared for my late mum for a short period and she was so thrilled with the care and support she received from her carer. Mum was only 70 and her young carer was so thoughtful and chatty with her - helping style her hair and painting her nails, which made her feel so upbeat and positive.

When my dad needed support this winter after a long stint in hospital and respite care, we didn't hesitate to come back to Right at Home. His carers are fabulous - using their own initiative as they have got to know him better and his likes and dislikes.

We have already recommended Right at Home to a neighbour and would recommend them to anyone who is looking for kind, thoughtful and professional care at home.

We have received excellent service and care from all the staff at Right at Home Reigate and Crawley. Following my mother's hospitalisation Kirsty and the team were available quickly to arrange care as soon as she came home. They have been very attentive and provided excellent care as well as general help around the house.

After experiencing a physically and medically disastrous year in 2024, I realised that most of the things which I'd previously taken for granted were either no longer possible or severely restricted, e.g., shopping, preparing and eating meals, maintaining personal care, mobilizing inside and outside the home, carrying out regular tasks, socializing, exercising, etc. Due to my previous working life, I already knew about Right at Home and the services they offered to those of us who wanted to retain the ability to live as Having retained Right at Home's services for personal care; I was also offered the opportunity to try out the company's physiotherapy sessions with the aim of becoming more independent and less reliant on others.The combination of personal care and physiotherapy has greatly relieved much of the additional burdens which my medical conditions had placed on my family and we are all very grateful for the time, care and attention which Right at Home have devoted to us.

I can read about the visits on their app so know what they have done and talk to mum about it. The office are extremely helpful and I would highly recommend the agency.

A pre discussed care rota was set up really efficiently for my dad at quite short notice when mum had to go into hospital for an emergency admission. All the carers turned up promptly as expected, and not only worked well but also had time to check on dad's social wellbeing. It greatly eased my, my sister and mum's worries. Write ups about each visit were detailed. It was easy to contact the main office by phone or email and they were happy to adjust to add any additional care areas I wanted adding. Highly recommend.

I have been delighted with the care my father is receiving from Right at Home. After a stroke last September he needed live in care. He is an active 88 year old , and his greatest wish has always been to stay in his own home if he possibly could. However the stoke has left him with cognitive difficulties, memory problems and visual impairment. The carers have been kind, supportive and professional. I'm so grateful to them, as I do not live nearby, and it is a huge source of comfort and support to me to know that Dad is safe in his own home and being so well looked after. He has been able to carry on pottering around his garden, he goes on a walk each day and has been on the bus into town, he has the benefit of regular meals, and their companionship. It is invaluable support.

Right at Home Reigate & Crawley have been nothing but top quality suppliers of home care services for my mum. Their staff are very friendly, kind and competent. They perform regular unscheduled checks on their carers whilst they are visiting my mum, which is very reassuring. Staff communication is excellent and we have been kept updated of any delays or issues which may arise due to unforeseen circumstances in getting to mum at the scheduled visit times. We have only praise for these fantastic carers!!

Initially consistency of carers was a problem, but the agency consulted me on this and we now have an excellent familiar team who offer regular consistent care which is a great support to us both. I would recommend RAH highly, we could not survive at home without them.

One of the many things I appreciated about Right at Home was how quickly I was able to communicate with them, and their rapid response to our needs. I also liked the fact that there was an office close to home, that I could pop round to say "Thank you" .

I have been very impressed with Right at Home from from first interaction until today, when carers are in place. I initially called Right at Home and set up a meeting with my parents. My dad has dementia and my mum is struggling to cope. At the meeting, my dad's behaviour was particularly challenging. The Right at Home representative dealt with him and the situation in a calm and courteous way. She then used this experience to set Dad up with a carer who she knew had the skill set to deal with his behaviour. Our carer now comes in on a regular basis and not only is she great with Dad but has also built a good bond with Mum. She has taken what could have been a stressful situation and made it into a very positive experience for them both. I can't recommend Right at Home highly enough.

Right At Home has provided me with their caregivers since September this year. They are a very caring, efficient, punctual, and sympathetic group of carers that, quite frankly, I now couldn't be without. Apart from all their help and support, it is so good to have someone other than family to talk with.

Now nearly two years ago, my family needed immediate care for a complicated situation in which my mum was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease and my stepfather was hospitalised. This came about very rapidly and became an evolving situation that required flexible care on short notice. Fortunately, Right at Home was available to provide instant assistance to resolve the immediate issues but also be flexible enough to meet the ever-changing dynamics of our care needs. For several months we moved from a few hours of care for one parent to both parents, to increased care hours as the health situations worsened, including taking one parent to visit the other in the hospital, to full-time, in-home care for one parent, to eventual full-time, in-home care for both parents. We found the company to be quite flexible in addressing our needs which often evolved quickly, and the personnel provided have always been top-notch in the care they provide.

In May 2023 I faced the daunting task of choosing a care agency for my husband, who needed extra care as he had sadly deteriorated health-wise. I was so very fortunate and thankful to find Right at Home and remained thankful until he passed away. It was important that myself and my husband have a regular team of carers and this remained the case. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble for them I really couldn't have asked for a more caring, kind, and professional team. The office team equally were so understanding, caring, and efficient when my husband was admitted frequently to hospital. I knew they were just a phone call away in times of need which was supporting and reassuring. I am sure I could not have found a more wonderful agency. I shall always be thankful to them and have no hesitation at all in recommending them.
