At First4Homecare, we deliver high-quality home care in Gloucester with pricing that is clear, fair and easy to understand. Families should feel confident about both the care provided and the costs involved, from the very first conversation.

The cost of home care in Gloucester depends on individual circumstances. This includes the type of support required, how often care is delivered, and the level of assistance needed. We offer flexible care options, from short support visits through to full live-in care at home. Where care needs are more complex, two carers may be required to ensure safety and continuity, and this will always be explained clearly and agreed in advance.

Live-in care allows people in Gloucester to remain in their own home while receiving consistent, one-to-one support. For many families, it provides a reassuring and practical alternative to residential care. Pricing for live-in care reflects the level of support required and is agreed upfront, giving clarity and peace of mind.

Every service includes a personalised care plan, tailored to individual needs, daily routines, personal preferences and budget. This ensures care is appropriate, respectful and sustainable over time.

We make arranging home care in Gloucester as simple and supportive as possible. Our local team takes time to understand your situation, explain your options clearly, and design a care package that fits your circumstances. Once care begins, care plans are kept under regular review to ensure support continues to meet changing needs.

All the carers are very good and supportive. Also, take me out and to the hospital dentist etc. Couldn't fault them.
Would highly recommend it.

Give tips on how to do things differently and make them better. Nothing is too much trouble.

I would like to express my sincere thanks for the excellent service and professionalism that my husband has received over the last two years!
The staff always went above and beyond, he would always look forward to the different girls coming on certain days as it would just make his day. They would all make a point of interacting with him on certain topics which was really good as he wasn’t one for going. My husband will miss all the girls immensely.

Kind regards.

I first got involved with First4Homecare Ltd in 2017 when they started to help with the care of my eldest sister, who suffered from Alzheimer's. They were extremely good at helping with her personal needs, and I could see that my sister valued them. In December 2021, my sister went to live in a care home, where she subsequently died in July 2022. My sister's husband also started to receive care from First4Homecare Ltd during the latter part of 2022, and I have nothing but praise for the way they now look after my brother-in-law. I also appreciate the fact that they keep me well-informed on a need-to-know basis.

Thank you for your review. For us, to have been involved with a family for over six years is a privilege and continuing care for your brother-in-law after the sad loss of your sister seemed a natural transition.

I get excellent care from all the staff, who arrive on time usually, more or less, but I also expect them to arrive on the minute. My one grumble (a minor one) is that the appointments are frequently at the same time as my (and my son's) tea time - as he comes home at 5.30 pm and may be going out at 7.00 pm. I time the meal for 6.30 pm. On the whole though I would not want to shower later in the evening.

Thank you for your review, we do try to accommodate your specific preferred times but this isn't always possible, the most important factor is that you feel you have excellent care on the few calls you receive every week.

The team initially cared for my mum after her discharge from hospital a couple of years ago and her subsequent sudden loss of mobility. They provided a great service helping dad who was too weak to be handling mum; her personal care was provided in a very kind and understanding way while also managing to 'have fun' with them both - neither have lost their sense of humour! With gentle help, mum got more confident and we eventually dispensed with the need for the team to be involved. Then dad got rushed to hospital in October last year (2022) and we didn't hesitate to contact the team again to help out. They really are great and certainly give me peace of mind, knowing that someone is calling in regardless of what duties they perform. I also appreciate the flexibility in terms of changes to requirements as they happen.

Thank you for your review of our service and I think it highlights the flexibility and peace of mind we offer to families, whether that is some help with household duties to full care, several times a day. We're pleased to hear how the service helps both your parents and yourself.

After an illness, we had to change the way my mother-in-law was cared for. First, 4Homecare was quick to put the care in place we needed. Since the start of January, the care plan has been revised three times but she has never been without care. Thanks to the team she is able to stay in her home. As her son has his own health issues to deal with knowing she is being cared for is a weight off his mind, especially now as we have been told about the open pass app. We cannot thank First4Homecare enough for everything they do and the peace of mind they give the family.

My mother has received care visits from First4Homecare twice a day for the last year. The service is well organised and reliable, so there has never been an occasion when a visit has been missed. The carers are kind and patient with her, and very caring. The admin and finance systems are excellent, so I am always able to obtain current information on my mother's wellbeing, and I've had no problems with billing/payments. An excellent service.

First4Homecare have looked after my dad for several years. I cannot rate them highly enough - they are excellent and have made a huge difference to my dad and I have no doubt that he would not be able to continue living in his own home without them. The team of carers do an amazing job and we have total trust in them to look after him. First4Homecare are also very proactive and always keeps us in the loop - looking at options to help him as his Parkinson's progresses and liaising with medical professionals on his behalf as needed as we are not living locally. They are like part of our family and I cannot thank them enough.

The care this company provided for my mum was nothing short of superb. They literally look after people like they are their own family.
Mum loved the carers coming in not just to help her but it was the company and a different face to see every day.

Their professionalism is second to none and would always ring me if any issues with mum, I had absolute trust in every single carer that went to my parent's house and cannot thank them all enough for giving her nothing but the best care even though she was unwell and we knew it may not be for long.

When it became apparent that mum needed some daily help preparing a meal and taking her medication we contacted First4Homecare and right from the start they were really helpful in sorting out what mum needed. The girls are lovely and make sure mum has everything she needs and always leave the kitchen clean and tidy. When I recently needed to make a change to the number of visits it was sorted quickly and efficiently. I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing a bit of extra help, either for themselves or a family member.

I'm really impressed with the care First4Homecare provide for my Mother, they go over and beyond what I'd expected. They offer a service I know I can rely on to ensure my mother has all her daily needs. The carers are always cheerful and accommodating, it's so important when some days they are the only people she sees. A nice touch at Christmas, they gave her some gifts and even a few decorations to brighten up the living room.

From the initial enquiry to the implementation of care, First4Homecare have been wonderful. Nothing is too much trouble, nothing is overlooked and the care for the client (and relatives) is second to none. It is a huge leap of faith to entrust the care of a loved one to people you don’t know, and we don’t regret our decision to use First4Homecare. The carers are wonderful; loving, professional, and diligent, they are practically members of our family now. I can’t recommend them enough.
