The client has been very pleased with the standard of care. The care package was put in place very quickly and has been managed effectively ever since. Regular reviews allow for matters to be dealt with smoothly and effectively. Having a number of individual carers who have shown patience, understanding, encouragement all with good humour has helped in creating a positive environment where my cousin has felt safe and has gained strength physically as well as emotionally. The support from the carers is very thoughtful, they let mum be as independent as they can, yet keep her overall comfort as a top priority. They are very responsive, but not pushy. They are very good at letting us be the priority when we visit.

Bluebird Care have been absolutely outstanding in the care of my Aunt.
From day one they were punctual, kind, respectful, nothing was too much trouble for them.
My Aunt has looked forward to there friendly visits daily, where they catered professionally for all of her needs.

Overall Experience

We've found Bluebird very good. The carers do all the jobs they are asked to do and are very friendly with my auntie. Bluebird are very caring and have offered walks, coffee mornings etc for my auntie which is just what she needs to get her out socialising.

Bluebird have provided excellent service over the past year. The girls are professional and polite and get on really well with my mother.
Although there has been the odd occasion when we have not been notified of a change of time/carer but that is just a minor glitch in the system.

On the whole we are glad that we chose Bluebird as our carers. Keep up the good work.

My mum has been very pleased with all the carers. All have completed the tasks requested and been pleasant and timely. They ask if she needs anything else doing too. Any queries I have our dealt with immediately. I would definitely recommend.

As new adoptees of once a week carer-respite home care we have been really impressed with what Bluebird have to offer. Their assessor took us through the initial assessment to the allocation of an appropriate carer for a day a week, to a recent review, all in a helpful, constructive & friendly way. We have found the care provided to be excellent, and has allowed me (as my wife's primary carer) to have a day off a week free of worries about how my wife was faring at home. Bluebird came highly recommended to us from a friend who had worked in the care sector for some years (before moving into an NHS role) and her recommendation has been completely vindicated. We are very satisfied & would have no hesitation recommending Bluebird Lancaster & South Lakeland to anyone considering using their services.

Bluebird have been providing care for my parents for over five years and during this time they have never let us down. The carers are professional, friendly and respectful. The office staff are also professional and friendly and keep us as a family informed of any changes or concerns they have with my parent's health. I would highly recommend Blue Bird for anyone seeking support in their own home. The carers are they provide is second to none and they are flexible if changes are needed to the care or if additional care is needed. Thank you to all the Bluebird team

Very good service for my husband. Carers kind and considerate and nothing is too much trouble. Always ask if there is anything else that they can do for us . They have helped with my husband's progress to the extent that he is now more independent. Office staff have always informed us if a carer is going to be late and have carried out a regular review. Can highly recommend them .

The standard of care and appearance of carers has been very good. Carers are on time, are good with individual clients and have done much to help with a much improved mobility. One is happy to welcome them into your home. Communication with the Supervisor has been excellent and there have been no problems with contacting the office when issues have occurred.

The daily updates are reassuring as I live a hour away from my mother and when the carers are concerned I am always contacted

Bluebird care have been looking after Dad for over a year now. We have had to adjust Dad's needs along the way. I have always found the office very helpful in replying to me about any new tasks required by the The Carers to do for him. I get a prompt efficient reply from the office . Sometimes a note is left for the Carer to do a task for Dad and it is always carried out.

I would recommend Bluebird care to anyone needing help to stay in Thier own home. I have just completed a annual review with a member of staff, this was carried out with care and efficiency to meet Dad's needs, thank you.

My husband was very happy with the care. And he can't wait for them to come again. They did things my husband asked to do. They sat in the garden with him. Made my husband his hot chocolate. They couldn't do if enough him.

Blue bird care have been superb so far with all carers being friendly punctual helpful and kind to my parents who are in their nineties and suffering with dementia now. Overall Experience
Without Bluebird Care, February would have been almost impossible, an accident at home left me with a host of hospital, doctors, physiotherapist appointments, the very last thing I needed, as a full time carer.
My wife requires round the clock help.
Bluebird Care were there for me, always with a smile, having to rearrange there appointments to fit in with my ever changing plans.

About Me
I started Bluebird Care Lancaster and South Lakeland in 2015, having always had a personal interest in care and caring, and hands-on experience supporting close relatives with dementia. 
My professional background is in public policy and administration – my first career was as a diplomat, but I moved to Lancaster in 2005 to raise our children and worked for Lancashire County Council in promoting transparent and accountable public services.  
I have been hugely inspired by the opportunity to develop my own care business as a member of Bluebird Care network, to bring together my passion for excellent care with my professional skills.

I am married with four children. I love living in the Morecambe Bay area, proud of its rich natural beauty and cultural heritage.   My hobbies include reading and sports - especially walking in the Bowland or Lakeland hills.  And as I move past the 50 mark, I find I am loving gardening too!

Jana Cayeux

We are extremely proud of our live-in care service. Jana has quickly worked her way up to the post of Live-in Care Manager, bringing her unique style and care skills together.

Our live-in care service started in 2016 and demand continues to grow. Jana employs a team of expert live-in carers and provides them with the specialist training required for this work, as well as the right support and management. Jana also oversees carefully all details of each customer's care and liaises with other professionals and family members as any issues arise. She will go out to visit at the drop of a hat to make sure all is well.

A key skill of a live-in care manager is matching a carer with the right skills and temperament for the customer, and making sure they get sufficient rest between placements.

Ritika Tyagi Job Title: Supervisor Joined: 2024
Ritika Tyagi
Working with the Care Managers, Ritika both oversees and supervises our carers delivering a premium service. In this way, we ensure that standards are always met or when issues arise, they are resolved swiftly.

In addition, Ritika works closely with our customers and their representatives to ensure that the instructions to our carers reflect exactly what is wanted and that we are at all times fully compliant with UK legislation. And that we never fall below the quality standards that we set ourselves.

Toni's main role is to make sure we get ALL the relevant information we need to provide a premium care service to each of our customers.

Not only must we develop a detailed understanding from our customers of what they both need and prefer, making our service 100% person-centred in each case, but as a regulated care provider there are also substantial legal requirements for us to fulfil in each case.

Toni takes all this information and creates a care plan for each of our customers, which in turn forms the basis of what is provided by the carer. Getting this right and updating it accordingly and timely fashion is essential

Stephanie Anderson

Steph recruits caring people to work for us, people with the right values and attitudes. We select our staff based on decency, compassion, kindness, professionalism, reliability and a willingness to learn.

Once recruited, they then enter our in-depth training programme. This starts with a week-long induction programme followed by 1-2 weeks of shadowing. New staff are then monitored and supported every week through their first 12 weeks. Training is refreshed annually, and additional training on specialised procedures is provided as and when required.
