I put in Bluebird Care Package for my mum a year ago, and both myself and my mum are really happy with the care provided. My mum has onset dementia but mainly suffers with severe anxiety and panic attacks so it is really important that my mum sees the same regular carers all the time, which Bluebird provide. Bluebird Care have been very professional and caring in their approach to my mother in law. The initial assessment was thorough and illustrated that the company understood all the complexities of caring for elderly people in their own homes. They have been very flexible at short notice. I was also impressed by the medical knowledge and observation of the individual who has been involved in the set up of the care plan.

Bluebird Care has been a great help to my mum, assisting her with basic daily tasks, since they started visiting. The carers have taken the stress out of worrying if Mum is coping by regular daily visits at a time to suit her.
Our key task is to care for people who need some extra support. But another hugely important part of our role is to alleviate the stress, worry and uncertainty often felt by a person's loved ones. This creates the space for a family to relax and be happy again. Thanks for this review, it's great to know when we get it right.

We have worked with Bluebird for the last two years - first for companionship support and then for live-in care for my mum who has Alzheimer’s. They have excellent, kind staff who quickly work out what Mum needs and how to make her happy and keep her relaxed. My dad was reticent about having live-in care initially but 6 months in, he really appreciates the difference it has made to the quality of their lives and the upkeep of the house. The live-in care coordinator is really supportive and responsive. She is regularly in contact with updates or to discuss any little issues that need to be ironed out. On the rare occasion when the match hasn’t worked out, she has sorted it out within 24 hours which is very impressive. With me living over 3 hours away I feel 100% more relaxed knowing that she is overseeing the care for Mum and that the carers are doing such a good job.

Bluebird Care carers are friendly and attentive. They always put my mum first and keep in contact with me if there is something wrong with Mum. I can't speak highly enough of Bluebird they are what I was looking for and have now gladly found! You may look at prices and think higher than some of the other agencies but they are worth every penny it costs you! Everyone is spot on, how they treat you and I have been lucky to meet most of the carers, supervisors, and office staff and spoke to some of the directors, long may they look after me, I am now a happy recipient of their Bluebird care team!

Whilst we value all constructive feedback so we can continually improve, it is such a treat when a customer feels like you do about the service we provide. Our carers love the work they do for you Toni and you can be sure I shall share this feedback with them straight away
Would not recommend. On the surface care seemed adequate, but I realised calls were being completed drastically short of designated times. I raised the issue to be assured it wasn't the case. I continued to monitor and discovered even the team leader was call cramming. When escalated, directors promised they were making constructive changes. In review they admitted, in their words, deception and failing to provide a sufficient service. While telling me they were interviewing the carers involved they also made a public declaration of Carer of the Month for one of the repeat offenders. Other issues raised, they blamed on human error in a challenging environment, error of judgement and glitches in their computer system. An issue of one carer eating food that I believe had been taken from the client's fridge was deemed acceptable if it was perhaps leftovers. I urge you to be vigilant. I truly hope no one else has to go through the pain and distress that was caused by this company.
A full investigation into this case was carried out by me, working with the relative. Certain members of our team had indeed deceived the author's aunt by leaving care visits early. On this occasion we...
Bluebird Care has provided care for my grandmother for the past 6 months now live-in care and I couldn't recommend them enough, Without a doubt the best care provider in the area! All the staff who have visited or stayed at my grandma's have been fantastic and she looks forward to seeing them daily. We first approached Bluebird Care because we urgently needed 24-hour care following the death of my husband. Bluebird had organised this in a professional manner in about a fortnight. My main carer is highly competent and kind, and I have every confidence in her. I have MND with complex needs, and nothing seems to faze her.
We are so pleased things are going well for you. It's a big step to make a decision to go for full-time live-in care, but with all our live-in carers, you are in safe and caring hands. Also, our live-in care manager is always on hand to pick up on any issues you have, however small. Never hesitate to let us know if something doesn't feel right, and we'll do our absolute best to sort it out

My job is to make sure we provide our customers with precisely the care they want, in the way they choose, offering the value-for-money they expect. That means:

-investing in the training, skills and professional development of our staff, as well as offering terms and conditions commensurate with a high-quality service.

I started Bluebird Care Lancaster and South Lakeland in 2015, having always had a personal interest in care and caring, and hands-on experience supporting close relatives with dementia.
My professional background is in public policy and administration – my first career was as a diplomat, but I moved to Lancaster in 2005 to raise our children and worked for Lancashire County Council in promoting transparent and accountable public services.
I have been hugely inspired by the opportunity to develop my own care business as a member of Bluebird Care network, to bring together my passion for excellent care with my professional skills.
I am married with four children. I love living in the Morecambe Bay area, proud of its rich natural beauty and cultural heritage. My hobbies include reading and sports - especially walking in the Bowland or Lakeland hills. And as I move past the 50 mark, I find I am loving gardening too!
Alyson's role is to lead and oversee a safe and effective care service, making sure we never compromise on our quality commitments
Now partway through her Leadership Development Programme, Alyson is linked to numerous local and national best practice forums. She's always on the lookout for fresh ideas and new developments in the sector.
Alyson knows each and every one of our customers and their families, never losing touch with what’s really important. Nicola's task is to provide you with the right carers at the right time, and in the right place, delivering the quality of care that you expect. Not only does Nicola produce the weekly schedules, but she also leads our team of carers, seniors and supervisors to make sure we always get things right
Nicola is qualified for Level 5 in Health and Social, and has many years of experience in care management

We are extremely proud of our live-in care service. Jana has quickly worked her way up to the post of Live-in Care Manager, bringing her unique style and care skills together.
Our live-in care service started in 2016 and demand continues to grow. Jana employs a team of expert live-in carers and provides them with the specialist training required for this work, as well as the right support and management. Jana also oversees carefully all details of each customer's care and liaises with other professionals and family members as any issues arise. She will go out to visit at the drop of a hat to make sure all is well.
A key skill of a live-in care manager is matching a carer with the right skills and temperament for the customer, and making sure they get sufficient rest between placements.
In addition, Ritika works closely with our customers and their representatives to ensure that the instructions to our carers reflect exactly what is wanted and that we are at all times fully compliant with UK legislation. And that we never fall below the quality standards that we set ourselves.
Toni's main role is to make sure we get ALL the relevant information we need to provide a premium care service to each of our customers.
Not only must we develop a detailed understanding from our customers of what they both need and prefer, making our service 100% person-centred in each case, but as a regulated care provider there are also substantial legal requirements for us to fulfil in each case.
Toni takes all this information and creates a care plan for each of our customers, which in turn forms the basis of what is provided by the carer. Getting this right and updating it accordingly and timely fashion is essential
Steph recruits caring people to work for us, people with the right values and attitudes. We select our staff based on decency, compassion, kindness, professionalism, reliability and a willingness to learn.
Once recruited, they then enter our in-depth training programme. This starts with a week-long induction programme followed by 1-2 weeks of shadowing. New staff are then monitored and supported every week through their first 12 weeks. Training is refreshed annually, and additional training on specialised procedures is provided as and when required.
