I would definitely recommend KarePlus. My father was in a care home following a hospital admission but was desperate to have his own calm space and a bit more independence. The manager and the team at Ashford enabled him to live in his own flat for as long as possible and were consistently kind, compassionate
and reliable. The notes they left were very comprehensive so we were able to see how dad was managing. When there were any issues, I was contacted immediately. They were also wise to his avoidance tactics when it came to his medication and eating! But patiently and sensitively ensured he was getting what he needed. When Dad had a fall, the manager made him comfortable and waited with him until I and the Paramedic team arrived. The dignity and respect they gave Dad were invaluable in ensuring he had the best, most independent, life he could have for as long as he could. We are incredibly grateful to the team for all of their support to Dad and us as a family.

Thank you for your kind words, it was a pleasure to look after your Dad, he was such a lovely man. We will pass on your appreciation to the team of staff who cared for your Dad. Thank you for taking the time to complete the review for us.

The Kare Plus team were incredible. They were professional, always quick to respond and flexible throughout the time we used their services.
The level of care and compassion from the whole team was exceptional and I cannot recommend them highly enough.
All the nurses went above and beyond to help,
offer advice and support not only my dad but also my mum, at what was an emotionally stressful time. A big thank you from both myself and the rest of the family.

Reply from KP Paul, Director at Ultima Care & Nursing Ltd

We felt privileged to have had the opportunity to get to know and support your dad as well as providing emotional support for your mum. All staff said that they loved going to look after dad and talking to mum and getting to know all about the life experiences. Your lovely, kind comments make us as mangers feel proud of our staff team. We like to say thank you for taking the time to complete the review for us, especially during these difficult times.

Couldn’t recommend Kare Plus Ashford/Folkestone highly enough, my mother-in-law came to live with us following discharge from hospital for end of life care. Kare Plus came out and assessed Mum and commenced a care package with only an hours notice. Her carers provide Mum with the highest level of care,
respect and dignity at all times, some of which were incredibly difficult and both physically and mentally draining but they not only supported Mum, they supported us as a family. We could not have wished for a higher standard of care for Mum in her last two weeks and we feel extremely grateful and appreciative to both the carers for their time and compassion, frequently going the extra mile to support Mum and us through a very sad, difficult time. Thanks to the care package Kare Plus supplied, Mum was able to pass at home surrounded by love and family and the very best standard of care and we will always be extremely thankful to her two carers.

Dear Aimee
Firstly our sincere condolences at the loss of your mother, I am so glad the Folkestone Care Team was able to help you all in such hard times, I will personally pass these words onto the carers involved. I know they loved every minute of caring for your Mother.

I contacted Kare Plus and they carried out an assessment the following day for my mother. We have the same carer in every day for an hour. The carer is always kind, considerate and very professional in her approach and I feel very lucky to have such a caring person to attend/supervise my mum.

Dear Vanessa, thank you for the kind words for our carers, we will ensure this is passed onto each and every one of them who has supported your Mum. Kind regards, Paul, Kare Plus.

The experience of having a Kare Plus carer for one hour, on 2 days per week has worked well. She stands by whilst I shower and she shampoos and dries my hair. She vacuums around upstairs while I shower and then vacuums the lounge, empties the vacuum, and takes the rubbish bin down to the gate for collection.
All this done very willingly.

I was anxious to accept I needed carers to helo me, but ever since the three ladies stepped foot into my house, I felt completely at ease. The way they help and care for me is always exceptional. They are supportive in every way and go above and beyond most, which I am extremely grateful for. I could
not fault them and I hope they continue coming to my house for as long as I need. I can't thank them enough; they are amazing people and incredible at their job.

Reply from KP Paul, Director at Ultima Care & Nursing Ltd

Hi Jane, Thank you so much for the wonderful comments for the ladies, words like this are very powerful to our team, and the recognition goes such a long way, both to the confidence it gives our carers and knowing that the work they do is so important to people like yourself.
Thank you, Paul, Kare Plus.

Mum is now bedridden and the family wants her at home for her last few weeks.
The ladies from Kare Plus turn up every single day, twice a day, to take care of her. They are kind, considerate and attentive to mums hygiene and health, bringing to our attention anything that needs resolving or referring
onto the doctors. CV19 has not impacted on the level of care mum gets or the frequency of visits. Mums own words, 'I think they are lovely' sums up how we as a family feel about the ladies and the service they provide to us.
Thank you.

Dear Anthony, these are wonderful comments, and very touching, we are so glad to have been able to and continue to help and care for your mum. We will pass this on to the team.
Thank you once again. Paul, Kare Plus.

My mother is essentially housebound and is very pleased with the service provided and likes all her carers. The team help out with her general chores and personal comfort and she says she feels well cared for. I live 100 miles away and feel Kare Plus have made my life a lot easier by not having to provide
constant 'remote' care. When I visit mum I can spend time with her rather than doing her chores. A friendly team and willing to undertake any relevant task. I agree with mum, I feel they are doing a good job.

The care team from Kare Plus provided superb care and went over and above the call of duty to ensure that my mother was well looked after during her illness. They tailored the support to meet her precise requirements rather than delivering a standardised offering. The carers also sought to develop
a real relationship with my mother so that she came to regard them as trusted friends rather than service providers. The staff developed a really good relationship with my brother and me and communicated very effectively so that together we could ensure my mother was as comfortable as possible. I would unhesitatingly recommend Kare Plus Ashford to anyone needing trusted care for a family member.

Kare Plus provides a very high standard of care to my husband, ensuring not only that he is clean and moisturised, but also, they take time to talk to us both. Kare Plus is currently providing care to my father and mother. The team are amazing and the level of care is at a very high standard. Knowing the team are going in every day looking after my parents is such a help, especially as the team look after them so well. Nothing is too much trouble. My mother
has recently had an unexpected time in hospital and Kare Plus reacted very quickly to my calls of help to look after my father especially at such short notice. They really have gone above and beyond the call of duty and I can't thank them enough for their support. Professional, so helpful, caring and supportive - I would 100% recommend Kare Plus as a care provider.

For the last two weeks of my wife's life, the carers were excellent. Very attentive, always on time. Friendly, caring and very professional. They did everything we requested and didn't just interact with my wife. The family were also interacted with too. Felt that her end of life care was second to
none. Thanks to everyone involved, would highly recommend.

I cannot praise the Ashford Team highly enough. They have worked with us to create a bespoke care package that evolves in response to Mum’s needs. The impact of their support has been transformative and vital in enabling Mum to stay living at home. The level of professionalism is high, with clear and
regular communication and well written care plans. The managers are responsive and very ‘hands on’ obviously bringing with them an extensive wealth of experience, with thoughtful and innovative ways to solve problems.
Initially resistant to being supported or having anyone in her home to help, Mum now looks forward to their visits and tells me they are “all so lovely” and “it’s great to have some company”. I live at a distance so it’s important to me that Mum has social interaction and stimulation. The team really interact with Mum and they have a laugh together which is so important as she has a great sense of humour that needs to be exercised too!
A definite A+ for Kare Plus Ashford.

From Humble Beginnings to Leading With Purpose

I began this journey in 2016 with a simple vision: to raise the bar in care. Alongside my Recruitment Manager at the time, Matt Stacey, we started as a team of two. Today, that vision has grown into a thriving family of over 160 dedicated professionals — including 60+ care staff and a passionate office team — supporting over 100 clients and settings across Kent.

Rooted in Kent, Driven by Values

Now proudly operating as Ultima Care & Nursing Ltd, we’ve become more than just a care provider — we're a trusted part of the community in Ashford, Folkestone, and surrounding areas. With over 100 glowing reviews on Homecare.co.uk, we’ve consistently been recognised as one of the region’s highest-rated providers, and we continue to build on that reputation every day.

Professional Standards, Personal Commitment

This business has always been personal. Providing great care isn’t just what we do — it’s who we are. Every service we deliver is grounded in our core values of respect, dignity, and compassion. Ultima Care is not just a company name; it’s a promise to every person and family we support.

Thank you for being part of the journey so far — we’re only just getting started.
