Both manager and her team were extended kind and caring to our mother who is frail and very anxious. However, they settled her and she slept well with the team in attendance. I will thoroughly recommend Kare Plus to anyone who needs safe, effective care.
Thank you for the wonderful comments, as ever we will feed this back to the team, and if you ever need our help in the future please do not hesitate to contact us. Regards, Paul, Kare Plus.
Very pleased. No problems, more than happy to keep using.
Thank you for your comments. It was a pleasure to assist you and your mother and I will pass this onto the team that worked with you.
The service I receive and the service I have had has been for me excellent. I would recommend Kare Plus to anyone. Thank you.
Thank you for your fantastic review of Kare Plus, I will as ever feed this back to the management team and the carers.
I quickly became relaxed in their presence and welcomed the breaks they afforded me. Thanks to all the team.
Thank you for your kind words. It was a pleasure to be there for you both and I will pass on your kind words to the carers.
The carers were extremely kind, and good at creating a cheerful atmosphere while at the same time doing a professional job of caring. This was important not just to our son, but to all of us. Thank you.
Dear Emma, thank you for your wonderful words. It was a pleasure for our team to have cared for your son, and at the same time help all of the family. All the best with all your futures. Paul, Kare Plus.
The service has been amazing. Sorted out days which were in a muddle as my sister has dementia. Liaised with the pharmacy when necessary. Any request I had were actioned immediately. Team enable my sister to stay in her bungalow for as long as possible. Very impressed with the company.
All the best, Paul.
Kare Plus.

We would 100% recommend Kare Plus and their fantastic staff. Well done.
Good Afternoon, thank you very much, for your kind words and taking the time to complete the review for us, it's much appreciated. The beautiful words have been passed onto the staff that visit.
All the care staff were great. My wife and I were going through a terrible time and they certainly helped. I didn't have to ask them to do the little things like clean my wife's teeth or brush her hair. All I had to do was get hot water and clean PJ's. Thank you. I won't tick excellent but it was very close.
Thank you for your kind words. It was a pleasure taking care of your wife and hearing all the stories you had about your travels with each other and seeing pictures. I will pass your message onto the team also. I hope you and your family are well.
I would definitely recommend KarePlus. My father was in a care home following a hospital admission but was desperate to have his own calm space and a bit more independence. The manager and the team at Ashford enabled him to live in his own flat for as long as possible and were consistently kind, compassionate and reliable. The notes they left were very comprehensive so we were able to see how dad was managing. When there were any issues, I was contacted immediately. They were also wise to his avoidance tactics when it came to his medication and eating! But patiently and sensitively ensured he was getting what he needed. When Dad had a fall, the manager made him comfortable and waited with him until I and the Paramedic team arrived. The dignity and respect they gave Dad were invaluable in ensuring he had the best, most independent, life he could have for as long as he could. We are incredibly grateful to the team for all of their support to Dad and us as a family.
Thank you for your kind words, it was a pleasure to look after your Dad, he was such a lovely man. We will pass on your appreciation to the team of staff who cared for your Dad. Thank you for taking the time to complete the review for us.
The level of care and compassion from the whole team was exceptional and I cannot recommend them highly enough.
All the nurses went above and beyond to help, offer advice and support not only my dad but also my mum, at what was an emotionally stressful time. A big thank you from both myself and the rest of the family.
We felt privileged to have had the opportunity to get to know and support your dad as well as providing emotional support for your mum. All staff said that they loved going to look after dad and talking to mum and getting to know all about the life experiences. Your lovely, kind comments make us as...
The care my mother received was outstanding. The carers' devotion and kindness made this heartbreaking time easier to endure. I will be forever grateful for the care given to my mother by all the staff at Kare Plus. Thank you.
All the best.
Couldn’t recommend Kare Plus Ashford/Folkestone highly enough, my mother-in-law came to live with us following discharge from hospital for end of life care. Kare Plus came out and assessed Mum and commenced a care package with only an hours notice. Her carers provide Mum with the highest level of care, respect and dignity at all times, some of which were incredibly difficult and both physically and mentally draining but they not only supported Mum, they supported us as a family. We could not have wished for a higher standard of care for Mum in her last two weeks and we feel extremely grateful and appreciative to both the carers for their time and compassion, frequently going the extra mile to support Mum and us through a very sad, difficult time. Thanks to the care package Kare Plus supplied, Mum was able to pass at home surrounded by love and family and the very best standard of care and we will always be extremely thankful to her two carers.
Firstly our sincere condolences at the loss of your mother, I am so glad the Folkestone Care Team was able to help you all in such hard times, I will personally pass these words onto the carers involved. I know they loved every minute of caring for your Mother.

Kare Plus
I contacted Kare Plus and they carried out an assessment the following day for my mother. We have the same carer in every day for an hour. The carer is always kind, considerate and very professional in her approach and I feel very lucky to have such a caring person to attend/supervise my mum.
Dear Vanessa, thank you for the kind words for our carers, we will ensure this is passed onto each and every one of them who has supported your Mum. Kind regards, Paul, Kare Plus.
Extremely pleased with the service. The girls are so kind to my friend. He seems more content now that they are coming every day.
All the best.
Paul,
Kare Plus.
The experience of having a Kare Plus carer for one hour, on 2 days per week has worked well. She stands by whilst I shower and she shampoos and dries my hair. She vacuums around upstairs while I shower and then vacuums the lounge, empties the vacuum, and takes the rubbish bin down to the gate for collection. All this done very willingly.
Paul,
Kare Plus.
I was anxious to accept I needed carers to helo me, but ever since the three ladies stepped foot into my house, I felt completely at ease. The way they help and care for me is always exceptional. They are supportive in every way and go above and beyond most, which I am extremely grateful for. I could not fault them and I hope they continue coming to my house for as long as I need. I can't thank them enough; they are amazing people and incredible at their job.
Thank you, Paul, Kare Plus.
The ladies from Kare Plus turn up every single day, twice a day, to take care of her. They are kind, considerate and attentive to mums hygiene and health, bringing to our attention anything that needs resolving or referring onto the doctors. CV19 has not impacted on the level of care mum gets or the frequency of visits. Mums own words, 'I think they are lovely' sums up how we as a family feel about the ladies and the service they provide to us.
Thank you.
Thank you once again. Paul, Kare Plus.
I would like to recommend Kare Plus Ashford for the personalised service we received from kind, cheery and professional staff. In particular, the lady who became a friend to my husband during their time with us and he instantly recognised her voice when they arrived. Thank you to them all.
Thank you
Paul
Kare Plus
The carer arrives on time and brings a lot of fun into our home. She is very good at her job and we enjoy her company.
Dear Susan, Thank you for your wonderful review, the team will be very happy to see this.
Regards,
Branch Director.

Meet the Team (8)
Founded in 2016
From Humble Beginnings to Leading With Purpose
I began this journey in 2016 with a simple vision: to raise the bar in care. Alongside my Recruitment Manager at the time, Matt Stacey, we started as a team of two. Today, that vision has grown into a thriving family of over 160 dedicated professionals — including 60+ care staff and a passionate office team — supporting over 100 clients and settings across Kent.
Rooted in Kent, Driven by Values
Now proudly operating as Ultima Care & Nursing Ltd, we’ve become more than just a care provider — we're a trusted part of the community in Ashford, Folkestone, and surrounding areas. With over 100 glowing reviews on Homecare.co.uk, we’ve consistently been recognised as one of the region’s highest-rated providers, and we continue to build on that reputation every day.
Professional Standards, Personal Commitment
This business has always been personal. Providing great care isn’t just what we do — it’s who we are. Every service we deliver is grounded in our core values of respect, dignity, and compassion. Ultima Care is not just a company name; it’s a promise to every person and family we support.
Thank you for being part of the journey so far — we’re only just getting started.
Shaping Care. Driving Standards. Leading Growth.
I joined the team in 2019 as Recruitment Manager and quickly evolved my role by qualifying as a trainer and launching my own care training business — which I later brought into the company to strengthen in-house development. Since then, I've progressed into the role of Chief Operating Officer and Registered Manager, helping lead the business through a period of rapid growth and transformation.
Having completed my Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care, my focus today is firmly on operational excellence, workforce development, and preparing Ultima Care for its next chapter — including the expansion into complex care and clinical services.
I’m deeply committed to raising standards across every area of the business, ensuring our care is not only compliant, but compassionate, consistent, and driven by values.
Outside of work, I enjoy quality time with my family, long walks, and staying active through my passion for rugby.
Precision. People. Purpose.
I joined the team in 2017 and have grown with the business ever since. Over the years, I’ve supported everything from bookings to client account management, with a strong focus on delivering person-centred, efficient financial support across all the services we provide.
Now proudly serving as Chief Financial Officer at Ultima Care & Nursing Ltd, I work closely with our Director on the day-to-day financial operations, long-term planning, and sustainability of the business. My background in the insurance industry — where I spent 16 years specialising in subsidence claims as a Recovery Claims Consultant — has given me a meticulous eye for detail and a strong foundation in complex case management.
After relocating from London to Folkestone in 2015, I discovered a rewarding new path in the care sector and have never looked back.
Outside of work, I love socialising with friends and spending quality time with my family — with regular trips back to London to catch up with loved ones.
40+ Years of Compassion, Leadership & Dedication in Care
With over four decades of experience in health and social care, I’ve dedicated my life to supporting others. My journey has included roles as a Dental Nurse, Carer in both residential and nursing homes, and most notably, 14 years as the Manager of a specialist Dementia Unit.
I hold an NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care, and throughout my career, I’ve taken a hands-on, people-first approach — something I now bring to my role as Patient Services Lead at Ultima Care & Nursing Ltd. Whether it’s supporting clients, families, or our care team, I believe that delivering outstanding care starts with genuine human connection.
I’m proud to be part of a business that truly puts care and community at its core.
Outside of work, I’m a proud mum of four and grandmother of six. I love cooking, reading, and spending time with my family — and I never miss a Spurs match!
Finding the Right People, For the Right Kind of Care
I’ve worked in the care industry for many years, primarily within dementia care homes — a role that brought both challenge and deep reward. As a Healthcare Assistant working under qualified nursing staff, I developed a strong foundation in hands-on care and person-centred support.
In 2019, I transitioned into recruitment and joined what is now Ultima Care & Nursing Ltd. My role covers end-to-end recruitment, compliance, and onboarding — from writing job descriptions and adverts to interviewing, selecting, and welcoming skilled carers into our growing team. I take pride in maintaining close relationships with both new and long-standing care staff, ensuring they feel valued and supported from day one.
I also completed formal recruitment consultant training and became a certified Physical Intervention Trainer in 2019, allowing me to deliver key training sessions to both homecare and agency staff.
Outside of work, I’m a proud mum to two wonderful children aged 17 and 12, and we share our home with a lovable little pug who keeps us smiling. I’m very much a people person — I love family time, discovering beautiful places, and meeting new faces wherever I go.
Delivering Care with Heart Since 2018
I joined Ultima Care & Nursing Ltd (formerly Kare Plus) in April 2018, shortly after raising my fifth daughter, who was just two and a half at the time. Before entering the care sector, I trained in beauty therapy and ran my own mobile beauty business — but it was the opportunity to care for others that truly sparked a new and lasting passion.
Since then, I’ve never looked back. I love what I do — especially getting to know the people I support. Whether it's helping with daily routines or simply offering companionship, I find it incredibly rewarding to leave someone smiling and feeling a little brighter after each visit.
When I have some free time, I enjoy sewing and crafts (I’ve even made clothes for my youngest!), reading, and, most of all, spending quality time with my family.
From Events to Care — Organising with Heart and Purpose
I joined the team in October 2019 as a newcomer to the healthcare sector, transitioning from a 12-year career in the events industry where I managed everything from global corporate conferences to local private functions. While the industries may seem worlds apart, the core skills of organisation, communication, and staying calm under pressure have proven invaluable in my role today.
Originally joining as Bookings Manager, I quickly developed a strong understanding of our care operations and the vital role we play in the community. Now, as Care Coordinator for Ashford and Canterbury, I manage our care workers' schedules, support client relationships, and help ensure we consistently deliver safe, person-centred care.
Building and maintaining strong connections with both staff and clients is something I take real pride in — I believe it’s the foundation of what makes our service so trusted.
Outside of work, I love spending time with my husband and our young son Oscar, going on adventures and making memories with friends and family.
Leading with Experience, Coordinating with Compassion
Natalie joined Ultima Care & Nursing Ltd in February 2025, bringing with her over a decade of hands-on experience in adult social care. With a strong background in supporting individuals with complex needs and learning disabilities, she has progressed from frontline roles into leadership — and now plays a key part in coordinating our services across the Folkestone, Dover and Ashford regions.
In her role, Natalie oversees care planning, staff recruitment, training, and ongoing service delivery. She’s committed to ensuring every individual we support receives consistent, high-quality, person-centred care.
Passionate about community impact and positive outcomes, Natalie brings both compassion and clarity to her leadership — and is a valued part of our growing team.
