My father received both personal care with washing, dressing, preparing food & medications, and also help with housework. Every member of staff who visited him was professional, efficient, and above all, kind. They took the time to chat with him, and kept us, his family, fully informed of any concerns. It was a great weight off our shoulders to know we could trust them to look after him, when we were limited by the constraints of full-time work. I would highly recommend Meritum to anyone seeking care for a much-loved family member.
Staff are very understanding and respectful of my father he has a good team!

24 hr to cancel call is totally out of order, many of us don't know how we be from day to day so to still get charged for no call is in my view, ridiculous. I had companies that only require 6 hr cancelation with no cost to the service user or social services; nonetheless still one of the best care companies I have encountered.
Thank you for your review. More than 24 hour notice to cancel a call without charge is something we are contractually obliged to operate as part of our agreement with the local authority. This notice provides stability for the staff in terms of pay. We do always look to see if we can't substitute...
I'm very happy with all the care provided.
Excellent service received always complete everything that is asked of them and more.They are always polite and have a chat with Mum and I know she is safe with them . The management team are always helpful and will call you if there are any concerns .

My brother in law's care started 9/10/24 he had care at aprox 9:30 and 4:30. The carers were very friendly and made the client feel comfortable and cared for. They were expert at persuading him to have meals instead of biscuits! Unfortunately he had a fall and was taken to hospital, he is now in a care home. Any problems we would call the staff members who would sort the problem out and were excellent to speak to.

I'm very pleased with all the carers, they are all very helpful and take there time with my mum, she is over the moon , she really loves one specific member of staff, she always takes about her , I'm so pleased to see my mum smile , worth the money just to see her happy , thanks to all the team x
The two ladies in the office are so polite and friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them they are a credit to Meritum as are there lovely carers
They treat my dad with dignity and respect, nothing seems too much trouble.
The carers do their very best to develop a relationship with the client with a view to helping them even when behaviour is challenging. The client always sings their praises saying how friendly they are.

The carers provided were of a very high level in all their operations. All in all a very well-managed company.
I have two carers who I prefer to have. I do not like having different ones which the management understands. My main carer is absolutely great, she is so caring, stands beside me so I do not fall, and makes sure I am clean and tidy. She will do anything for me. My other carer is very good too, they understand what I can do and what I cannot do. Very good carers.

At the age of 80 I broke my shoulder and was unable to use my left arm. Keen to return to my own home despite excellent care at my daughter's, I followed up a friend's recommendation and contacted Meritum. The local manager was helpful and flexible in her approach and I felt reassured that I would receive the support I needed. The organisation is professional and efficient. My regular carer is a delight. She arrives promptly, sorts my personal needs out, then tackles whatever jobs I need doing to fill in her hour. She has been quick to pick up the way I like things done and humours me.
We as a family were really pleased with the service we had from Meritum and the staff were basically on time. If they were to run late, this office would call to let us know. From the initial assessment to the end, we were mainly pleased and happy with the company.

My wife is in advanced stage of dementia, although only 66. This means she is very stubborn and uncooperative to requests designed to help her. Meritum staff are superb in their patience and skilled in efforts to meet her personal hygiene requirements and needs. Despite my wife's refusal, they display amazing patience and compassion to persuade her to be washed.
