The carer who came to stay with my elderly mother was just what was needed. She was punctual, attentive, caring and was interested in what Mum was discussing with her. I have already booked her for another three occasions whilst I am away. She is able to provide that reassurance to me and confidence to my mother.
The morning carer is excellent. The evening carers are not so good. Most are inexperienced and don't know what to do!

The previous care provider was apaling and Mum was left up to 20 hours before the next visit leaving her in her own body fluids, not knowing when a carer would be coming. Since we have had Meritum, Mum and siblings, life has been so much better, the carers look after Mum with the best care we could hope for she is clean and fed all her washing is done and the carers are friendly professional and attentive, we also can relax knowing that the carers will always attend. We are truly grateful to have this care package with Meritum.

My husband has both Parkinson's disease and vascular dementia and his condition has deteriorated considerably over quite a short period. I was struggling to get him up, washed and dressed. Meritum responded to my call and the carer came to see us within 24 hours. Both the main and the reserve carers have provided excellent, calm and efficient care. They are gentle but firm and we work as a team to get him ready for the day. We have had three weeks of service so far and the staff have arrived on time every day. The Meritum management team has responded with flexibility and I felt heard and responded to my needs.

I could not be more pleased with the care Mum gets. Mum has one carer who comes most mornings, who is fantastic and can deal with Mum's mood swings and goes above and beyond to help and care for Mum. The only thing I will say is sometimes she has young girls come who she swears at (something she has never done before!) and I know it frightens them but also it does help Mum when she has several different people.

We have known our carer for about 18 months since we moved here. She has a good sense of humour, is a special person and you can have a laugh and a joke. She's very caring and understanding and part of our family, look forward to seeing her most days.

Meritum have been great looking after Mum. They ensure she is washed and dressed each day, has her medication and is safe and well. Most of the time the staff stay the full time they are booked for. It is nice to see the feedback on the app of what they have done each time they have been in. The staff in the office and on call are also so friendly and helpful and ready to accommodate and answer my many questions and concerns.

All of the staff that have cared for me so far have been absolutely brilliant. One lady goes above and beyond her duty of care. Not only does she help me with my daily care needs, she also supports me with my mental health without realising she does. She is a credit and an asset to the company.

My mother has dementia, no mobility and has been bedbound for a year. The fact that in all that time she has never had any pressure sores or skin problems is down to the excellent care that she receives on every one of her care calls. I have met several of the carers when I visit and all of them are unfailingly kind and patient with her. It never feels like she is just a name in a system, there really is a personal touch. Communication is always good with the office and the carers who let us know if anything is needed. It is a huge relief to know that Mum is in such capable hands and our family is so grateful for the care Meritum provides.
