We continue to be impressed with the care given to my mother by the wonderful carers at Home Instead. They are consistently efficient and caring and often go above and beyond what might be expected, taking initiative where needed and responding to incidents or crises with understanding.

Living so far away from my mother it is immensely reassuring to know that this level of care is being provided, and that communication between us is very good and that my mother has such a good relationship with them. It goes a long way towards easing the constant worry of supporting her at home with her dementia and growing daily needs. A crucial part of their service is that the same caregivers attend at the same times each day establishing a routine ensuring a sense of order, security and comfort.

We have used Home Instead before to look after my mother at home who was suffering from dementia as we were very happy with the service provided I decided to call on them again to look after my father for a couple of weeks after he had had a minor operation as I don’t live in the area. They wanted to know all the relevant information regarding the operation and planned accordingly with me what aftercare my father would need. Nothing was too much trouble. Very professional and caring. As I live quite far away I felt completely at ease knowing my dad was being cared for.

All staff, carers, very caring to my parents, treat them with affection, attentive to any requests. Carers are always ready to go that extra mile. The only downside is that they are restricted in physical duties, even the smallest exertion or help to lift or move someone is perhaps the negative which could be addressed. No complaints apart from the physical problem.

The carers from our local branch were really wonderful to my Aunt who sadly has now passed away.

I could not have asked more from them, she was so fond of them and looked upon them as friends which enabled her to stay in her own home until she died.

The carers (so far the same 4 people taking it in turns) are friendly, efficient and watchful of any health problem that might arise. I'm thankful this service is available, meaning I can stay in my own home.

Suddenly facing reduced mobility my mother needed care urgently. From the first phone call through to the care my Mother received in the home, the service was professional, humane and above all extremely caring. Mum was treated with great dignity and respect at a time that was very upsetting for her, establishing a rapport with her caregiver and greatly looking forward to her visits. The caregiver was responsive to Mums changing needs, adding visits when necessary and responding rapidly when there was a crisis early one Sunday morning. Thoroughly recommended.

Cannot speak highly enough of Home Instead Senior Care (Folkestone). The whole team were superb when dealing with my father, who needed help post Christmas 2017. The dignity they afforded him was refreshing, matching his needs both physically and socially. This meant he had carers who not only knew how to help him but could also converse with him about subjects he was interested in. The professionalism extended to the clarity of communication, speed of reaction and empathy to the pain of our family when my father passed away suddenly during February. Our association was all too brief but we were comforted by the service received.

I would definitely recommend Home Instead, they are caring and listen to what my mum wants. They help with physio, feeding my mum's pets and general things around the house. They assess my mum's needs and have found a carer that fits in perfectly with what her daily life was like before she had her fall, which means she has less stress and can concentrate on recovering. Everything is done professionally. Definitely the best in the area.
