I have had a very good experience, all the carers that have come to my home are very good at everything that they are required to do. I have found them patient, very polite and cheerful, in fact I would not be able to carry on so easily at home since my accident which completely changed the way that I lived before. All the jobs I did before, I now rely on the carers to do.

Overall Experience

I have been using Bluebird Care since December 2025 which was arranged via social services, and I have found the service, care staff and office staff to be professional, punctual, friendly, supportive and kind. They assist me with a shower, and preparation of my food which I purchase from an online food provider. Contact with the office is easy via both the main telephone number and the out of hours number. I receive a weekly email and letter outlining the carers attending and the estimated time of their call. If I need to cancel a call for whatever reason, there is no problem and the office staff are extremely helpful.

My mother has now been receiving care from Bluebird Care Newport since July 2025, so nearly 5 months. I am impressed by the professionalism of the managers and care staff and the way in which the business is run. They really do put my mother at the front of what they do and have been flexible between multiple carers going in during the day to a full time carer and then back to multiple carers. My mother has a selection of carers that go in and she now knows all of them and enjoys the variety of conversation and interacions she has with them. All are fantastic and amazing in the work they do. My latest aim is to have my mother with me in London for a week. This again is proving to be a breeze as Bluebird have franchises around the country. I am so pleased that the Newport Branch and St Albans branch are communicating with each other to facilitate this one week break for my mother which will mean the world to her. After all, she will be 102 next February!

Overall Experience

All the ladies who provided domestic help were pleasant and helpful. They were prepared to do a variety of tasks such as ironing as well as cleaning, changing sheets etc. If I need such help in the future I will not hesitate to use the service again.

My mother is very happy with her care provided by the Bluebird team .
She always looks forward to her weekly visits .
My mother feels reassured that her needs are met and has adapted a lovely relationship with the carer that visits regularly and mam is happiest when she has the continuity of 1 or 2 carers.
Welcoming new people into a home can sometimes be challenging and cause anxiety for some, the Bluebird team have been understanding of this and have helped mam to adapt to having carers in her home .
We find is very helpful to be able to know beforehand who is due to visit mam .

Our family have been very happy with everything provided by the Bluebird team so far and would highly recommend their services.

I cannot speak highly enough of Bluebird. They have been absolutely exceptional in the care they have provided for my mum. From the very beginning, every member of the team has shown genuine compassion, patience, and kindness. They treat her with dignity and respect at all times, which means so much to us as a family.

What really stands out is the way the carers take time to talk with her and make her feel valued. It's never just about the practical side of care - they bring warmth, companionship, and reassurance into her daily life. My mum has become very fond of the carers, and it's clear how much she enjoys their visits.

The professionalism and consistency of the service is outstanding. Knowing she is in such capable, caring hands gives us huge peace of mind. My mum has been disabled for 25 years and during the last few years she was able to access the care provided by the Bluebirds, Newport. During this time the number of visits increased gradually but the care was always excellent.
From the initial assessment which was so thorough and reassuring, throughout the time the Bluebirds visited my mum, all carers were kind, caring and professional. It was a real relief for me to know that she was so well looked after by them.

I have no hesitation in recommending the bluebirds to anyone who is seeking home care. They are able to cope with many different demands and are always there providing service with a smile. This service enabled my mum to stay in her own home for a good few years longer than would have been the case. I cant thank them enough.

Bluebird Carers have looked after my mother-in-law for the past six years, and we couldn't be more grateful. We're very pleased with the service Bluebird Care are providing for our parents. Every week their carers turn up with kindness, compassion and a practical approach to help with the ironing, cleaning and general household chores. They are patient, supportive and have built a good relationship with our parents. Their weekly visits are reassuring to us both, as are the check-ins they have with us - all with the intention to help Mum and Dad with the things they now find difficult and increase the overall quality of their life. We have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone.

Overall Experience

The overall experience of blue bird is excellent, the carers that looked after my mother in law were so kind and supportive of her cannot thank them enough. I would receive regular calls from the office keeping my updates on her well being and if they could offer any assistance to help her stay independent in her home .Again i can't thank them enough for the support and advise they give us. I would recommend blue bird to Family and Friends.

Bluebird have cared for my father for the last 3 months. The carers have been kind, attentive and always treat my Father with dignity. So diligent in their treatment, he has been discharged from the Lymphoedema clinic. Medications have changed considerably during the three months and the transition has been seamless. From my perspective, the communication from the office is professional and efficient. For me, this is essential. Carers notes are available via their on line system. The supervisor is always on hand to provide advice. Weekly schedules listing the name of the carer and call times are emailed and invoices provide a detailed breakdown of costs.

Overall Experience

My mum has been having help from Bluebird Care 3 times a week since January and I cannot thank them enough for what they have done. Things were difficult in the beginning because Mum wouldn't accept that she needed help. But the staff were so good with her, encouraging her and just chatting if that was all that mum would allow. Mum is now moving into assisted living, so will no longer need Bluebird Care but I would certainly recommend them as a care provider. The staff, particularly 4 members of staff, have been so lovely to mum and she has built a good relationship with them all. Thank you Bluebird, you've been amazing.

Mam have been more than happy with the support / care and help she has received everyone who visited have been lovely and so friendly - nothing is too much trouble
Mam initially bit concerned as never had care other than myself previously and also been a very independent person prior to that - it's been so reassuring that mam now feels so comfortable and looks forward to her visits
Really lifts her spirits
Carers are very Inspiring too offer tips ideas to help with maintaining routines
I'm grateful for the updates of visits - can view at a glance
should any changes occur everything is always very well communicated and dealt with immediately

Bluebird (and the carer who visits me) are excellent. Great care is taken through-out the house and they get into the areas / bits that I as a disabled person struggle to reach. Equally importantly the conversation means they can check on me and ensure I'm not losing it! And the cats seem to like them too!

I needed care assistance at short notice for twice daily visits.Bluebird Care had been recommended to me by friends who had used the company.Their manager and office staff were extremely helpful on first contact and swiftly arranged an assessment with me at home which was comprehensive regarding my morning and night care routine.I was particularly impressed by their attention to detail and health and safety assessment of my home.I have received first class care from pleasant,punctual and competent care staff and can recommend Bluebird Newport as my first choice for home care having had experience of other local care companies for my late mother.

Mum was diagnosed with Dementia, and we were assigned a care company to help with her care, we were with that company for 2 years, care was not the best, but it was a help, some of the better carers left the company and the level of care dropped massively.
We have currently swapped to Bluebird Carers Newport, this company was also recommended to me by a friend as being excellent, the carers visit Mum 3 times per day.
We would be absolutely lost without them! The carers are lovely, kind, caring, attentive and engaging and also very professional. We are so grateful to how the office ladies do what they can to help us with advice etc, also how efficiently they reply to my text messages and reach out if they need to bring something to my attention.

We are more than happy with the care that is being provided. Amazing company. The carers and office girls are like angels and I am truly grateful for everything that they do for Mum. Thank you so much

Overall Experience

I'm happy with the care provider but I have noticed on several occasions the staff are not staying for the duration of the visit (AM is 45 mins and lunch is 30 mins) which is a concern. Some staff will wash dishes and others will leave them. The interaction with Mum varies sometimes as some staff have been on their phones during the visit. My mother is very comfortable with the staff but misses one in particular.
