Our father was reluctant to have 'carers' but from the outset, this agency were reassuring and gentle.
Relationships of mutual respect established.
The care that was given was always respectful and nothing was rushed, even if time became short in the visit.
We would highly recommend them.

We are very satisfied with all aspects of the care, from the initial discussions prior to Mum’s discharge from hospital to the high standard of communication throughout. It is not easy for a previously independent person to accept the need for some assistance but the carers have been great in every
way. Mum has been able to regain confidence and independence within her home and looks forward to the daily ‘pampering’.

He is grateful for all the care he receives and feels that sometimes he is rushed. He realises that there is a limited time but with his Parkinson's has no control over how he is in the mornings, but knows its not good to stay in bed. I would sometimes like a little more understanding but the care is
good.

We moved my grandmother's care to Radfield Home Care in the summer of 2018 and haven't looked back. The carers are kind, considerate and have time to care for my grandmother. No job is too big or too small and they take pride in everything they do. My grandmother loves the personal service with both
the carers and the back office (no call centres). She also loves that calls are made to update her should a carer be running late so she can plan her day. The regular carers assigned to my grandmother means she is building friendships and her home feels like a home - no more strangers in the house!

Radfield Home care team have made what was a very sudden and difficult transition for my parents, so much more palatable.
Being very private people, and the initial thought of strangers entering their home was very unsettling, but within a short space of time, they have settled into their new routine.
This is largely due to the kindness and patience of the carers, who understand the importance of maintaining as much independence as possible for their clients and always treating them with dignity and respect.

My mother has recently come to live with us as she can no longer live independently. Friends and family persuaded me not to cancel a short holiday which was already booked and so I turned to Radfield Home Care for help.
They were extremely kind and reassuring and did everything we asked, and gave
my mother the support she needed in our absence. They kept in contact with me while I was away and have gained my trust for future holidays, which I realise I am going to need.
My mother was anxious about the arrangement at first but now sees that it is the ideal solution and will not mind us going away again as she knows she will be well looked after.
I especially like the fact that Radfield have all our family contact numbers and I know they would always keep us informed of any problems should they occur.
We will definitely be using them from now on.

I found Radfield Home Care (Hastings and Rother) incredibly supportive and helpful in finding the right care package for my mum after her stay in hospital. The whole team were incredibly caring and mum always enjoyed and looked forward to the carers visits. Their concern for my mum after she was readmitted

Radfield Home Care have been outstanding providing care to me whilst I have been waiting for a pa. I found it so easy to arrange a carer to look after me when my main carer was away on holiday, it was so straightforward. They were helpful and explained how they worked. Friendly and approachable. Always on hand when you need them if your main carer is away. I would recommend them to anyone looking

I have only used Radfield Home Care (Hastings & Rother) for a few weeks but the competence and experience provider has fully satisfied me. It should be pointed out that help so far provided has been of a general housekeeping nature - floor washing/dusting/hoovering plus limited assistance with the washing
machine.
More personal assistance will probably be required in the near future (personal washing, hygiene/food preparation) but the current carer appears to have the experience and character of dignity to cope with this.

My career has been tremendously rewarding and inspired me to launch Radfield Home Care across Bexhill, Hastings & Battle.


The professional achievement I am most proud of is to have listened to people and prioritised their individual wishes when planning care. This approach is central to the way in which Radfield operates and ensures all our clients retain as much independence as possible.

What is your background prior to joining Radfield?
Over 30 years working in the care industry, starting in domiciliary care as a care assistant and working up to a Registered Manager. Working across different fields in Elderly care, dementia, Learning Disabilities, Mental Health and Hospital settings.


How has your background prepared you for your new role at RHC?
Working in the care sector as a health care assistant, senior and manager have prepared me to see care from all sides and have a good understanding of how each role works.


What has inspired you to want to be involved in the adult social care sector?
I have always enjoyed helping and supporting people who require care, to support them to remain independent and have the help and care that they require as they wish it to be.
