Lovely to hear the depth of feeling and relationship with the care professionals who visit. Our care professionals care deeply and feel the same about each and every individual they visit. Its why we do the job. Thank you for taking the time to let us know the reason our care works so well.

We cannot recommend Home Instead in Yeovil more highly. They provided support and care for my mother in the last two weeks of her life with compassion, efficiency and discretion as well as being a tremendous support to myself and my sister. Mum's condition deteriorated quickly. The situation changed daily and with it the requirements for care. Home Instead, Alexia and Julie, were brilliant at coping with this and at the end were providing 24 hour care. We had a team of six carers who were each introduced personally to mum and ourselves and every one of them became a friend. They rotated and took over from each other seamlessly. The communication was brilliant. They talked to mum, cared for her, gave us hugs and ultimately enabled mum to die peacefully at home as she wanted. We cannot thank them enough.

Superb service from this company, they guided us through everything that we needed to know, they asked lots of questions about my mother who has dementia, the carers were very professional, kind, and very well trained, the one to one attention they gave my mother was brilliant, you could see the carers were passionate about their work. I would have no hesitation in recommending this company to anyone.

My father has had care from Home Instead for a year. The support for the manager and her team has been outstanding and she is always available for updates and support. My father has dementia but I have notice that is brighter and happier since he has had more support.

My father recently had to be taken to hospital as an emergency and the carer went with him to support him until family arrived. This was outside of hours and really appreciated that he was not left alone.

Mum started receiving care from Home Instead at the end of August having been in respite care for 2 weeks, she suffers from vascular dementia. From my very first contact, through to meeting the deputy manager who created our care plan, through to Mum's 3 carers and another staff member who has taken over our case from the deputy manager, I can not speak highly enough of you all.
Your care, respect, thoughtfulness and politeness are amazing, putting the patient in the middle of everything you do.
Thanks to you Mum can stay in her own home and we as a family can have peace of mind that she is safe and well looked after

Anyone looking for care look no further!

Home Instead have been providing daily care for my Uncle for 3 years. The service is excellent, it has enabled my uncle to stay in his home rather than go into care which is as he wants. He has a lovely relationship with the carers who go above and beyond what is expected. I am kept informed, any issues and niggles are quickly and satisfactorily sorted, and they go the extra mile in working with me to sort out any problems. Have no hesitation in recommending the service. I live a long way from my Uncle, and there are no other relatives so trusting Home Instead has been so vital in enabling him to live as he wishes and to give me peace of mind.

It is and has been our pleasure to look after your uncle. He is an amazing man and it is lovely to be involved in his life. Thank you for your support and let's hope your Uncle continues on as he is and we are able to ensure his life is enriched as much as possible for all that time. He is much loved by the team that knows him.

I would like to thank all the Home Instead staff for their professional approach. Care workers were so kind to my mum and nothing was too much trouble.
My mum had just one morning visit per day which made all the difference to her life. Knowing a care worker would be in each morning was something to look forward to, a chat and company for an hour. Also, it was peace of mind for family members.
The care workers were on the whole punctual and if they couldn't fulfil the visit or were going to be late the office staff would always call us to let us know there would be a delay.
Mum also enjoyed attending the Home Instead Christmas parties!

Thank you all, I am eternally grateful.

My mother did not want carers at first, but due to her age and frailty, it was the only way forward, with her wanting to stay in her own home.
Myself and my mother cannot fault Home Instead as a care provider.

My mother looked forward to their visits, and they were always on point with their care as well as becoming a listening ear to my mother who liked to chat.

Very sympathetic. Excellent communication.
Home Instead was very easy to contact.
I was able to get care very quickly.
My parents enjoy having their carers over.
When I needed to change care provision on short notice this was accommodated.

I was also reminded when medication was low which was very helpful.

Since we have had Home Instead over the last few months they have been genuinely brilliant, from the staff that deal with my mum to the staff in the office. Very professional caring carers and nothing is ever too much trouble, would thoroughly recommend them as Mum's care is first class and all tasks are done to the highest standard and in a good timely manner. 10 out of 10 for trustworthiness.

Right from the beginning of talking to the director, I knew this would be the right company to assist my mum and us. Always helpful, very responsive and once Mum was home we never had to worry if carers would arrive, a schedule was sent out each week in advance to let us know who was coming. My mum was happy with the care provided and overall in the circumstances, we could not have asked for more. Mum passed away in good hands and we are very grateful to everyone who helped us. I would definitely recommend Home Instead should you need home help. Thanks everyone.

Rebecca Gray Job Title: Owner/Director Joined: 2019
Rebecca Gray

Hi - I'm Rebecca and I am a co-director (with Mark) of Home Instead Yeovil, Sherborne and Bridport. I am a qualified GP (working in the South Somerset area) and believe that this puts me in an excellent position to lead a company that delivers bespoke client-centred care. I live in a hamlet near Martock with my young family.

The Yeovil office was established by my late husband Ashley Gray; he was passionate about delivering top-quality care to people in their own homes, supporting them to maintain their independence if they wished to do so. Fundamental to the business are the principles of empathy, respect, value in service and continuous learning. Ashley was a great believer in the power of relationships to enrich and transform lives. He derived energy from being around other people and recognised the huge benefit that human interaction can have on an individual’s sense of well-being. I very much hope to build on the foundations that Ashley created and embed Home Instead as the most trusted home-care company in the locality.

Mark and I have a wonderful office team around us to support our vision to grow the business without compromising on quality. We have lots of exciting plans and ideas to help us attain our goal of being able to provide the best care to more people. I feel very privileged to be part of a business that has fabulous Care Professionals who are resolutely dedicated to our lovely clients and are all prepared to go the extra mile.

Although I am not from Somerset originally, I love living here; it feels like home. Away from work, I enjoy riding, running and meeting friends. Having three very active boys, we spend a lot of time outdoors, making the most of the beautiful countryside.

Mark Hunt Job Title: Director Joined: 2020
Mark Hunt

I have been a GP in the Somerset and Dorset area for 25 years. When not at work I love sport and have recently completed an ultramarathon (never again). I enjoy spending time walking, reading and with the family outside of sport and work. The profile picture was taken by one of my 3 year old twins to post on the website.

We are a local employer and feel a part of the local community both as an employer but crucially in providing care for clients in South Somerset & Dorset.

Having Doctors, Nurses and Caregivers in our team allow us to provide the highest quality of person-centred care, whilst having the knowledge to judge when extra support and onward referral is necessary. This is always underpinned by our ambition of maintaining a client’s independence, enabling people to stay in their own homes wherever possible.

I believe the prioritization of time we give to our clients builds the space for empathy and enjoyment of social interaction. This allows us to create relationships that are based on an individual’s personal interests as well as their needs. It is only through taking the time to truly understand an individual, that we are equipped with the detail to deliver a bespoke service. These elements have been critical in my clinical practice and inform our ethos at Home Instead. Some of my feelings have been shaped by looking after both my parents who suffer from dementia and are cared for at home by a dedicated team (including my brother and I). My focus is on providing care that I would be happy for my Mum and Dad to enjoy.
