Staff in the office is very efficient and helpful. The carers who have been to see Mum are all lovely. Carers are all very caring towards Mum and Mum likes them all very much.
My siblings and I are really pleased and extremely grateful to everyone at Home Instead for the help and support you are giving us in caring for our Mum.
Dear Elizabeth, Thank you very much for your lovely feedback and for taking the time to write a review. It is always heartening to hear that both the care professionals and the office team have been so supportive and efficient in turn. We do try and recruit our team to the values of empathy and...
Home Instead have been providing care to Mum for over three years, initially one visit per day but as Mum's needs increased they were able to increase to 3 visits a day at very short notice. The carers were wonderful with Mum, being patient, caring and loving. They always greeted her with a smile and we felt they genuinely cared for Mum's welfare. Mum looked forward to their visits as it brightened up her day. They were proactive in adapting to Mum's changing needs. Thank you for providing my brother and me with peace of mind.
Thank you so much for writing a review and we will pass your thanks back to the team for being "patient, caring and loving". I know that your mum was much loved and will be sorely missed by everyone involved. We all wish her well. I appreciate that this provided you both with peace of mind as that is the essence of what we aspire to with supporting people. Thank you again.
My mother is visually impaired, now in her 80s and was widowed a few years ago. She was keen to retain her independence and stay in the family home but required support to do so. Home Instead took the time to understand what support was required, tailored a service to suit her and has provided reliable, regular assistance for over a year. They have taken Mum on trips, helped with shopping, meals, paperwork and household chores and have provided companionship throughout that time. It has meant that Mum could stay in familiar surroundings for longer than she would have been able to otherwise. I thoroughly recommend them.
Thank you for remembering and drawing together the things that have happened over the time your mum received support from our team. It is always so uplifting to hear how the small things have helped your mum to keep her independence and stay at home for as long as possible and for the time she...
A plan was formulated that met our needs and with a few days Care Professionals were visiting our home. We found all the staff that visited us to be polite, and very able to carry out the tasks we required and I would not have any reservations in using them again.
I can, from my experience completely recommend Home Instead.
Thanks so much for completing such a lovely review. Really appreciate your feedback and we will in turn share with the team involved in providing support. It is always a privilege to be helping in client's homes and so glad it was a great experience.
My parents were looked after by Home Instead until July 2022, when we moved my mother to a care home closer to me after my father's death. I cannot praise the Home Instead team too highly. The care professionals looking after my parents went to endless lengths to keep them happy and comfortable at home, and the office team performed short-notice organisational miracles of all sorts, including, for instance, providing cover when we got Covid and couldn't visit. One of the team even managed to bring my mother to her new home when we were all still testing positive on moving day. Everyone was so kind and so gentle with my increasingly fragile parents. I would recommend Home Instead (Yeovil, Sherborne and Bridport) without hesitation.
I hope you have all recovered from Covid and are well. I hear your mother is settling in well to her new home. Thanks so much for your kind words and it was lovely to meet you at the Platinum Jubillee cream tea. It was a privilege to be involved in your parents' care and I hope everything goes well in the future.
I would recommend Home Instead to anyone.
The admin staff were very nice and always helpful.
Thank you so much for writing a review and for your lovely comments on your experience of our care. It is so appreciated and we will share with the office and care team involved as it is always great to have feedback on the hard work.
My parents had just started using Home Instead's services when my father fell and broke his hip. The manager and the team were marvellous in immediately providing the unanticipated extra care needed to make sure they were well looked after. Since then, they have settled into a daily routine with a small team of lovely carers who are all unfailingly kind, willing and able. We are so thrilled to have found such caring people and, living so far away in Australia, I am comforted to know that my parents are being so well looked after.
Thank you so much for taking the time to review our services. Feedback is very important to us as an organisation, as it helps us to continue doing what we do well, and make improvements if necessary. As you allude to in your message, when family live many miles away from loved ones, it is...
Found them to be caring and nothing was too much trouble. They are doing an excellent job.
Thank you again.
I have been delighted by the standard of care provided. It has been very professional yet understanding and patient. I have made no request which has not been met immediately. Friends have dropped round unexpectedly but have been made welcome. I have also been driven to see a special friend who is very sick. I have been helped with my exercises. Thank you for sending such a lovely and capable person.
Thanks so much for taking the time to write a review. Your review speaks volumes about the Care Professional and thank you for your kind words about the service and organisation. We do try and match our Care Professional with the needs and character of the client as this makes a huge difference to...
Mum was diagnosed with dementia in December 2021. Home Instead went out of their way to be able to support her at short notice, when other health care professionals were suggesting she needed full-time care in a home.
Thank you very much for taking the time to write this review. I am delighted to read that you feel so satisfied with the support your mum received from Home Instead. As an organisation we spend time focusing on dementia care and offer in-house dementia training to our care professionals. As you...
Thoroughly recommend Home Instead (Yeovil, Sherborne and Bridport). The care they have been providing to my mum over several years has been great and very reliable. Good quality care delivered with kindness and compassion and a person-centred approach that included thoughtful celebrations for mum's 100th birthday. The office team have been marvellous in responding quickly to meet mum's needs as they have grown. We know the team have absolutely made the difference in delivering Mum's wish to be in her own home for as long as possible.
Thank you for taking the time to post your review about the care your mum has received from us. I know that all of us in the Home Instead team really appreciate receiving such positive feedback. It is so important for us to know that we are making a significant difference to people's lives through...
Since falling and breaking his neck last year, my 91 year old father has depended on a team of carers in his own home, largely provided by Home Instead. With their continued help and support, they have provided my parents the means to remain living independently and together, for which we are very grateful. There have been occasions recently when we have called on Home Instead for last minute unexpected cover and this has been invaluable. My parents particularly like the fact that they know exactly when their carer will be arriving each day (they have 4 visits daily) and the name of the carer. As they tend to be the same carers they have got to know them and formed good relationships with them. The whole Home Instead team from the office to the carers are highly professional and really helpful, and I have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone who asks!
Thank you so much for your kind and positive words. It is lovely to hear that you father has recovered so well and that the team that have been visiting him have been supportive in his wellbeing at home. It is a lovely tribute to them and in turn to the office team in ensuring your father is able to be living as independent life as possible in his own home.
Dad has got Parkinson's Disease and Mum had been his carer for several years, but then Mum was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. After having a few poor experiences with other care providers we finally found Home Instead. I would like to thank all the girls and office staff who looked after Mum and Dad so well. I would highly recommend Home Instead's services, they are proficient, friendly, reliable, compassionate, professional and always looking for a solution in a crisis. Thank you so much.
Thank you for such generous comments. Your parents were a delight to support during the incredibly tough time for your parents and siblings in the pandemic. Our hearts went out to you and your family and I know the caregivers were very fond of your parents and wanted to go above and beyond in their...
After a sudden fall at home, one of the carers packed an emergency bag to take to the hospital. Also, as I was not allowed to visit in hospital due to Covid, but then after making all arrangments the hospital then decided to send a confused person home and yet again Home Instead stepped in and offered to help and collect my godmother as I have a family which takes planning.
The care, attention to detail and peace of mind that it gives me knowing that the perfect care package is in place.
A team that listens!
So sorry to be slow in thanking you for your feedback. We are always hugely grateful for clients and families submitting reviews. It is lovely to hear that your godmother is finding our visits are so supportive. It is highly personal to let someone new into your house and it only...
I have only just started using Home Instead but the change in my husband is wonderful. They look after him very well and nothing is too much trouble. I now get home to a very happy smiley husband who is no longer alone for much of the day when I am at work. They are also very happy to put the hoover through and always ask if there is anything they can do to help me as well. It makes my day at work very relaxed knowing that my husband is in very good hands and for once I do not have to worry about him having any mishaps.
Great to hear that the service is working and thank you so much for leaving such a nice review as it is so nice for all involved to have such lovely feedback. So pleased that your husband is enjoying his time with our caregivers and I know they are enjoying looking after him. Thanks again.
Communication with the central team was also very good with regular conversations and quick alerts for any problems.
Home Instead allowed my Father to stay in his flat significantly longer than would otherwise have been possible, and gave me peace of mind that my Father was being well cared for.
Thanks so much for taking the time to give us feedback and so wonderful to hear that both you and your father appreciated the love and care from the team. Your father is a wonderful man and the caregivers involved in supporting him loved him dearly.
Mark
We have been very pleased with the service provided. All carers are very punctual and polite. A good company.
Thanks so much for posting a review it is much appreciated. So glad that we have been able to help in any way possible and that we will be able to provide support in the future. Very grateful for the feedback.
Mother enjoys her regular caregivers and looks forwards to seeing them and chatting every day.
Highly recommend the Administrator and the team. Thank you, everyone.
Dear Terry
Thanks so much for taking the time to post a review. It is an extra thing to do but the feedback is hugely appreciated. We will always try and be as responsive as possible to a request to providing support for clients as quickly as possible as often it is because our clients are...
We have been extremely happy with our current caregivers who are very supportive.
Thank you so much for feeding back such a glowing review. We do aspire to provide the highest quality of care and so it is wonderful to have feedback that the care is appreciated so much.
When we first explored getting some assistance it sounded expensive but it is not! The service was and is excellent. It was tailored to our needs, implemented within 24 hours of our request and delivered exactly what we wanted. Caring, polite and enthusiastic staff. Good communication along with kindness and empathy. You might find cheaper providers but I do not think you could find better. The carers all worked very efficiently but equally effectively. If they saw something that needed doing they did it and throughout they adhered to Covid guidelines. They had clearly been trained and always made sure tasks were completed to our satisfaction. Their dedication made a large contribution to my wife's recovery. Thanks to the entire team.
Thanks so much for the wonderful feedback. We do always try to ensure our service delivers the highest quality of care and that this starts with the quality of relationship with our clients. However, it is lovely to hear that the hard work of the caregivers is of the highest standard. It always helps if the clients are also of the highest quality!

Meet the Team (9)
Hi - I'm Rebecca and I am a co-director (with Mark) of Home Instead Yeovil, Sherborne and Bridport. I am a qualified GP (working in the South Somerset area) and believe that this puts me in an excellent position to lead a company that delivers bespoke client-centred care. I live in a hamlet near Martock with my young family.
The Yeovil office was established by my late husband Ashley Gray; he was passionate about delivering top-quality care to people in their own homes, supporting them to maintain their independence if they wished to do so. Fundamental to the business are the principles of empathy, respect, value in service and continuous learning. Ashley was a great believer in the power of relationships to enrich and transform lives. He derived energy from being around other people and recognised the huge benefit that human interaction can have on an individual’s sense of well-being. I very much hope to build on the foundations that Ashley created and embed Home Instead as the most trusted home-care company in the locality.
Mark and I have a wonderful office team around us to support our vision to grow the business without compromising on quality. We have lots of exciting plans and ideas to help us attain our goal of being able to provide the best care to more people. I feel very privileged to be part of a business that has fabulous Care Professionals who are resolutely dedicated to our lovely clients and are all prepared to go the extra mile.
Although I am not from Somerset originally, I love living here; it feels like home. Away from work, I enjoy riding, running and meeting friends. Having three very active boys, we spend a lot of time outdoors, making the most of the beautiful countryside.
I have been a GP in the Somerset and Dorset area for 25 years. When not at work I love sport and have recently completed an ultramarathon (never again). I enjoy spending time walking, reading and with the family outside of sport and work. The profile picture was taken by one of my 3 year old twins to post on the website.
We are a local employer and feel a part of the local community both as an employer but crucially in providing care for clients in South Somerset & Dorset.
Having Doctors, Nurses and Caregivers in our team allow us to provide the highest quality of person-centred care, whilst having the knowledge to judge when extra support and onward referral is necessary. This is always underpinned by our ambition of maintaining a client’s independence, enabling people to stay in their own homes wherever possible.
I believe the prioritization of time we give to our clients builds the space for empathy and enjoyment of social interaction. This allows us to create relationships that are based on an individual’s personal interests as well as their needs. It is only through taking the time to truly understand an individual, that we are equipped with the detail to deliver a bespoke service. These elements have been critical in my clinical practice and inform our ethos at Home Instead. Some of my feelings have been shaped by looking after both my parents who suffer from dementia and are cared for at home by a dedicated team (including my brother and I). My focus is on providing care that I would be happy for my Mum and Dad to enjoy.
I have worked within the healthcare sector for over 15 years. I moved to the UK about 20 years ago, I'm originally from Estonia. I started as a care and support worker and slowly worked my way up to registered manager. I have a wealth of experience and qualifications to bring to the role.
I have completed NVQs in Health and Social care up to Level 5 in Management and leadership. I have worked as a care manager in various settings for many years, mainly domiciliary. I have also managed staff in a residential setting and worked with people with learning disabilities and autism. I love training staff. I've been a moving and handling assessor and instructor for 5 years. I am also a “Dementia Friend” and very passionate about changing people's perceptions of dementia. My aim is to change the face of care and help people age well.
I live in Gillingham, Dorset with my husband, two teenage children and two dogs. Most of my free time is spent outdoors with my dogs, I have a French bulldog called Boris and a boxer dog called Roxy, they keep me active. I also love gardening, travelling and spending time with my family and friends.
Alexia guarantees you meet a warm, smiling person every time she comes to visit you. She is our quality champion and Trainer and ensures your care is consistently meeting the highest standards and that with her warmth you can confide in her when it isn't and she will put it right. She is currently completing her Level 3 NVQ.
My name is Becky. I live in Stoke sub-Hamdon with my husband and child.
As Head of People Experience, I am a ‘Dementia friend’ and have many years of experience in the Health sector. The welfare of others is at the heart of who I am. So that our amazing Care professionals can provide the excellent care we expect for you, they support and care for them with a smile, an ear and an open heart. We are all a part of this life together so let's make it the best it can be.... and then some.
I started working for Home Instead as Finance & Administration Assistant in October 2021, having previously worked in Complex Care as an HCA. I have 28 years of admin experience so this job gives me the best of both worlds.
I have worked previously for Architects, the Ministry of Defence, a Housing Association, NATO in Brussels, Insurance Brokers, Spinal Homecare and also ran a pub with my brother.
I started working for Home instead of in July 2023 but before this, I had extensive experience working in home care. I have always loved working with people to help them stay in their own homes for as long and as independently as possible.
I am passionate about helping people remain in their homes, where they feel safe & in control of their daily needs all within a familiar environment.
Since working for Home Instead, it has been very clear to see the care and compassion that the Care Professionals have for the clients that they visit on a daily basis and the fact that they will always go that extra mile to solve a problem and feel that everything is achievable if we work together as a team. I'm looking forward to starting my journey here and being part of the Home Instead family.
Hi, I’m Julie, the new Field Care Supervisor at Home Instead. I’ve worked in the health sector for many years and have always enjoyed being out in the community, supporting patients and their families. For the last five years, I’ve been part of the Hospice care team in Devon, which was a deeply rewarding experience.
As a true Devonian, I love the countryside and spend a lot of time outdoors with my little dog, Yarak, who keeps me active with our twice-daily walks! When I’m not walking, you’ll often find me cycling or swimming.
I am the newly joined marketing coordinator, with over five years of experience in the health and social care industry. Before my tenure at the home care company, I refined my skills at a digital marketing agency in India, where I managed a diverse portfolio of brands.
Outside work, I enjoy outdoor sports, especially cricket and volleyball, spending time with my family, and trying Indian restaurants in Yeovil and nearby towns. Using my experience in social care and digital marketing, I wish to contribute to the growth of Home Instead Yeovil to the next level.
