Home Instead came to my rescue with kindness and a caring attitude. I would recommend this company without any hesitation.
Thanks so much for your review and so pleased to hear you were pleased and would recommend our service. When clients call we do like to show that we really are a care company and respond with care and kindness so it is lovely to hear it worked on this occasion. It is even better that your husband is now back to his normal self.
Before having Home Instead carers, I was caring for my husband myself and finding it very stressful. The care input from Home Instead care was wonderful and took the stress away from me leaving me feeling more relaxed.
His carers arrived every morning with a welcoming smile, much appreciated by me. They were always punctual and friendly.
I would recommend Home Instead to anybody looking for sympathetic, reliable and trustworthy care.
Unfortunately, due to the deterioration of my husband's Parkinson's Disease, he is unable to remain at home. I will miss seeing all his carers who helped my husband and myself at a very difficult time.
A big thank you to you all.
Thanks so much for giving us feedback on our care. We are delighted it has worked so well and hope your husband is as well as possible and that you are managing in this difficult time.
I was very pleased with all the service. Staff all very friendly and willing to do all the little odd jobs as well as their care. A highly professional organisation from caregivers through to the office staff.
The carers were always so kind and helpful. My mother really looked forward to seeing them every day. They couldn't do enough to help her to try to stay in her own home. They became a very important part of her life, almost friends. She was very upset and disappointed when she had to accept that she would no longer be able to remain at home. She really missed seeing the carers after she went into a home. Thank you for all the kindness and support you gave her.
From the moment I contacted Home Instead, I knew I had found our perfect fit. The staff and management have been so supportive and it has certainly eased my mind that mum (and dad) is being looked after by an amazing team.
For everything they've done for us as a family a simple thank you just doesn't seem enough.
The family have been extremely happy with the service provided by Home Instead. Mum met a number of carers until the "best fit" was found. The main carer has been very flexible about last minute changes and very supportive to Mum over the past 12 months. We have only terminated the contract due to Mum going into a residential home.
Home Instead has been a Godsend to our family. Our elderly father lives on his own and wasn't coping. He has front lobe brain damage and can be difficult. He was also very resistant to the idea of having any help but after agreeing to a one month trial (suggested by Home Instead) he has been completely won over and really likes his carer. I have been very impressed by how much effort Home Instead put into finding the right person for my father, inquiring about his interests and hobbies. They are also happy to help with hospital appointments etc. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Worth every penny and a lot cheaper than a care home.
No complaints at all. Carers very friendly and helpful.
The Caregivers were very experienced and professional during the challenging waking nights with my Father. His physical and emotional needs are complex and they treated him with respect and patience. Thank you.
I am extremely pleased with the care my father is receiving from the carers of Home Instead, in the Yeovil area. In a short space of time they have made a wonderful difference to his quality of life. He looks forward to their visits, he's visibly happier, laughing and cheerfully engaging in conversation, whereas before their support, he was struggling with life and that became his focus. The change is so good to see and gives us peace of mind when we can't be there. The carers make lovely meals with fresh vegetables, are very reliable but above all they have built a trusting relationship with dad.
This genuine care and professionalism has been maintained throughout our dealings with Home Instead and the time taken by Home Instead to find a carer with whom our mother would find some 'common ground' has paid dividends, with our mother really looking forward to this outing, every week. The support of the excellent carer from Home Instead has encouraged and enabled our mother to go out and make new friends locally, and this experience has made a significant difference to her quality of life.
Truly outstanding, from Management’s co-ordination of care tailored to the client’s needs to the hands-on support given by the caregivers. They will do anything to help, however messy or inconvenient (including offering advice whilst off-duty). Highly responsive, they quickly adapted to constantly changing needs, thinking of ways to help fulfil our father’s wish to die at home with family. Everyone is exceptionally competent and genuinely caring. With different levels of experience, from one just 18 on her first assignment to others with years of expertise, all have a vital sense of humour! They kept in close contact with us throughout. Dad really trusted them. Humbled by what they do and who they are, we cannot thank Home Instead enough for shepherding us through. These are very special, extremely hardworking people helping to provide a solution to the problem of hospital bed-blocking by enabling dignified death at home. I hope the healthcare system recognises them for this critical work.
Home Instead Senior Care (Yeovil, Sherborne & Bridport) are always friendly, helpful and pleasant. Enjoying having support in my home. Get on with all the caregivers. Met some lovely people.
The general level of help has been extremely good but what has stood out for me is the extra lengths that my mother's carer and the management team went to when my mother was admitted to hospital - that was really exceptional.
Nice, sensitive, helpful carers - willing to do most things.
The experience of care with Home Instead has been so very helpful at a very difficult time for me and for my husband. The carers have, without exception, been very helpful and caring and particularly patient (especially during the night). They have all been very adaptable, coping also with our cocker spaniel, walking him and feeding him. A thoroughly pleasant experience and a company I would recommend.
I have been very pleased with the service I have received with all the staff who have been here. They have been here on time and have anything I needed.
One morning, they found my mother unwell, took her, firstly to her GP and then to A&E, where they stayed with her throughout and brought her home, having alerted me to the situation. Truly exceptional care considering I am sure they had 101 other things to be doing. Their focus on the wellbeing of my mother was very reassuring.
Despite all the snow we had in March, they never missed an appointment, even if it meant walking to the house. Fantastic people.
Our only regret was that we were unable to continue using them due to circumstances beyond our control. My sister and I would highly recommend them to anyone wanting to engage a caring and highly professional care team.
This is my first experience of care at home and I am very satisfied. The pre-care interview was friendly and thorough and the person they found is congenial and interesting to talk to and most efficient in everything she does. I like her and we get on well. Thank you.

Meet the Team (9)
Hi - I'm Rebecca and I am a co-director (with Mark) of Home Instead Yeovil, Sherborne and Bridport. I am a qualified GP (working in the South Somerset area) and believe that this puts me in an excellent position to lead a company that delivers bespoke client-centred care. I live in a hamlet near Martock with my young family.
The Yeovil office was established by my late husband Ashley Gray; he was passionate about delivering top-quality care to people in their own homes, supporting them to maintain their independence if they wished to do so. Fundamental to the business are the principles of empathy, respect, value in service and continuous learning. Ashley was a great believer in the power of relationships to enrich and transform lives. He derived energy from being around other people and recognised the huge benefit that human interaction can have on an individual’s sense of well-being. I very much hope to build on the foundations that Ashley created and embed Home Instead as the most trusted home-care company in the locality.
Mark and I have a wonderful office team around us to support our vision to grow the business without compromising on quality. We have lots of exciting plans and ideas to help us attain our goal of being able to provide the best care to more people. I feel very privileged to be part of a business that has fabulous Care Professionals who are resolutely dedicated to our lovely clients and are all prepared to go the extra mile.
Although I am not from Somerset originally, I love living here; it feels like home. Away from work, I enjoy riding, running and meeting friends. Having three very active boys, we spend a lot of time outdoors, making the most of the beautiful countryside.
I have been a GP in the Somerset and Dorset area for 25 years. When not at work I love sport and have recently completed an ultramarathon (never again). I enjoy spending time walking, reading and with the family outside of sport and work. The profile picture was taken by one of my 3 year old twins to post on the website.
We are a local employer and feel a part of the local community both as an employer but crucially in providing care for clients in South Somerset & Dorset.
Having Doctors, Nurses and Caregivers in our team allow us to provide the highest quality of person-centred care, whilst having the knowledge to judge when extra support and onward referral is necessary. This is always underpinned by our ambition of maintaining a client’s independence, enabling people to stay in their own homes wherever possible.
I believe the prioritization of time we give to our clients builds the space for empathy and enjoyment of social interaction. This allows us to create relationships that are based on an individual’s personal interests as well as their needs. It is only through taking the time to truly understand an individual, that we are equipped with the detail to deliver a bespoke service. These elements have been critical in my clinical practice and inform our ethos at Home Instead. Some of my feelings have been shaped by looking after both my parents who suffer from dementia and are cared for at home by a dedicated team (including my brother and I). My focus is on providing care that I would be happy for my Mum and Dad to enjoy.
I have worked within the healthcare sector for over 15 years. I moved to the UK about 20 years ago, I'm originally from Estonia. I started as a care and support worker and slowly worked my way up to registered manager. I have a wealth of experience and qualifications to bring to the role.
I have completed NVQs in Health and Social care up to Level 5 in Management and leadership. I have worked as a care manager in various settings for many years, mainly domiciliary. I have also managed staff in a residential setting and worked with people with learning disabilities and autism. I love training staff. I've been a moving and handling assessor and instructor for 5 years. I am also a “Dementia Friend” and very passionate about changing people's perceptions of dementia. My aim is to change the face of care and help people age well.
I live in Gillingham, Dorset with my husband, two teenage children and two dogs. Most of my free time is spent outdoors with my dogs, I have a French bulldog called Boris and a boxer dog called Roxy, they keep me active. I also love gardening, travelling and spending time with my family and friends.
Alexia guarantees you meet a warm, smiling person every time she comes to visit you. She is our quality champion and Trainer and ensures your care is consistently meeting the highest standards and that with her warmth you can confide in her when it isn't and she will put it right. She is currently completing her Level 3 NVQ.
My name is Becky. I live in Stoke sub-Hamdon with my husband and child.
As Head of People Experience, I am a ‘Dementia friend’ and have many years of experience in the Health sector. The welfare of others is at the heart of who I am. So that our amazing Care professionals can provide the excellent care we expect for you, they support and care for them with a smile, an ear and an open heart. We are all a part of this life together so let's make it the best it can be.... and then some.
I started working for Home Instead as Finance & Administration Assistant in October 2021, having previously worked in Complex Care as an HCA. I have 28 years of admin experience so this job gives me the best of both worlds.
I have worked previously for Architects, the Ministry of Defence, a Housing Association, NATO in Brussels, Insurance Brokers, Spinal Homecare and also ran a pub with my brother.
I started working for Home instead of in July 2023 but before this, I had extensive experience working in home care. I have always loved working with people to help them stay in their own homes for as long and as independently as possible.
I am passionate about helping people remain in their homes, where they feel safe & in control of their daily needs all within a familiar environment.
Since working for Home Instead, it has been very clear to see the care and compassion that the Care Professionals have for the clients that they visit on a daily basis and the fact that they will always go that extra mile to solve a problem and feel that everything is achievable if we work together as a team. I'm looking forward to starting my journey here and being part of the Home Instead family.
Hi, I’m Julie, the new Field Care Supervisor at Home Instead. I’ve worked in the health sector for many years and have always enjoyed being out in the community, supporting patients and their families. For the last five years, I’ve been part of the Hospice care team in Devon, which was a deeply rewarding experience.
As a true Devonian, I love the countryside and spend a lot of time outdoors with my little dog, Yarak, who keeps me active with our twice-daily walks! When I’m not walking, you’ll often find me cycling or swimming.
I am the newly joined marketing coordinator, with over five years of experience in the health and social care industry. Before my tenure at the home care company, I refined my skills at a digital marketing agency in India, where I managed a diverse portfolio of brands.
Outside work, I enjoy outdoor sports, especially cricket and volleyball, spending time with my family, and trying Indian restaurants in Yeovil and nearby towns. Using my experience in social care and digital marketing, I wish to contribute to the growth of Home Instead Yeovil to the next level.
