Overall Experience
I contacted "Home Instead Senior Care (Yeovil, Sherborne & Bridport)" between Christmas and New Year 2017 as my elderly father needed help in a hurry. Care at home had not been needed before. "Home Instead" made the process as simple as possible. We were given what we needed efficiently and with an appropriate understanding of his needs and that of his family. From our initial enquiry to the first care session took a matter of days, and the process felt easy and stress-free.

Since then, the care my father has received has been faultless. He lives with dementia but I feel he is comfortable with his caregivers and has become used to this new situation with minimum anxiety. The number of caregivers is limited to one or two people which helps my fathers condition. Short-term crisis' has been handled with compassion and I have really appreciated the close contact I have with the caregivers. "Home Instead" has also been very sensitive to the needs of my fathers' partner as she adapts to a new way of living.

Overall Experience

My caregivers were both very friendly and professional in their approach and attitude towards me, as was the manager who saw me on Christmas Day.

The director, who came to my home for the initial home assessment, was very polite and professional and carefully gave me all the options available to me allowing me to make a decision personal to me.

I have been very pleased with the service provided.

Overall Experience

Home Instead has impressed us all with their real desire to support and care and their flexible and relaxed attitude. Nothing is too much trouble and they always provide consistent carers who genuinely like and want to be with my elderly parents. They understand the need for real companionship as well as supplying all the professional support for personal hygiene and home care. We look forward to them coming into our house, and I would thoroughly recommend them.

Hi - I'm Rebecca and I am a co-director (with Mark) of Home Instead Yeovil, Sherborne and Bridport. I am a qualified GP (working in the South Somerset area) and believe that this puts me in an excellent position to lead a company that delivers bespoke client-centred care. I live in a hamlet near Martock with my young family.

The Yeovil office was established by my late husband Ashley Gray; he was passionate about delivering top-quality care to people in their own homes, supporting them to maintain their independence if they wished to do so. Fundamental to the business are the principles of empathy, respect, value in service and continuous learning. Ashley was a great believer in the power of relationships to enrich and transform lives. He derived energy from being around other people and recognised the huge benefit that human interaction can have on an individual’s sense of well-being. I very much hope to build on the foundations that Ashley created and embed Home Instead as the most trusted home-care company in the locality.

Mark and I have a wonderful office team around us to support our vision to grow the business without compromising on quality. We have lots of exciting plans and ideas to help us attain our goal of being able to provide the best care to more people. I feel very privileged to be part of a business that has fabulous Care Professionals who are resolutely dedicated to our lovely clients and are all prepared to go the extra mile.

Although I am not from Somerset originally, I love living here; it feels like home. Away from work, I enjoy riding, running and meeting friends. Having three very active boys, we spend a lot of time outdoors, making the most of the beautiful countryside.

I have been a GP in the Somerset and Dorset area for 25 years. When not at work I love sport and have recently completed an ultramarathon (never again). I enjoy spending time walking, reading and with the family outside of sport and work. The profile picture was taken by one of my 3 year old twins to post on the website.

We are a local employer and feel a part of the local community both as an employer but crucially in providing care for clients in South Somerset & Dorset.

Having Doctors, Nurses and Caregivers in our team allow us to provide the highest quality of person-centred care, whilst having the knowledge to judge when extra support and onward referral is necessary. This is always underpinned by our ambition of maintaining a client’s independence, enabling people to stay in their own homes wherever possible.

I believe the prioritization of time we give to our clients builds the space for empathy and enjoyment of social interaction. This allows us to create relationships that are based on an individual’s personal interests as well as their needs. It is only through taking the time to truly understand an individual, that we are equipped with the detail to deliver a bespoke service. These elements have been critical in my clinical practice and inform our ethos at Home Instead. Some of my feelings have been shaped by looking after both my parents who suffer from dementia and are cared for at home by a dedicated team (including my brother and I). My focus is on providing care that I would be happy for my Mum and Dad to enjoy.

I have worked within the healthcare sector for over 15 years. I moved to the UK about 20 years ago, I'm originally from Estonia. I started as a care and support worker and slowly worked my way up to registered manager. I have a wealth of experience and qualifications to bring to the role.

Most of my free time is spent outdoors with my dogs, I have a French bulldog called Boris and a boxer dog called Roxy, they keep me active. I started working for Home instead of in July 2023 but before this, I had extensive experience working in home care. I have always loved working with people to help them stay in their own homes for as long and as independently as possible.

I am passionate about helping people remain in their homes, where they feel safe & in control of their daily needs all within a familiar environment.

Since working for Home Instead, it has been very clear to see the care and compassion that the Care Professionals have for the clients that they visit on a daily basis and the fact that they will always go that extra mile to solve a problem and feel that everything is achievable if we work together as a team. I'm looking forward to starting my journey here and being part of the Home Instead family.

Hi, I’m Julie, the new Field Care Supervisor at Home Instead. I’ve worked in the health sector for many years and have always enjoyed being out in the community, supporting patients and their families. For the last five years, I’ve been part of the Hospice care team in Devon, which was a deeply rewarding experience.

As a true Devonian, I love the countryside and spend a lot of time outdoors with my little dog, Yarak, who keeps me active with our twice-daily walks! When I’m not walking, you’ll often find me cycling or swimming.
