Hi - I'm Rebecca and I am a co-director (with Mark) of Home Instead Yeovil, Sherborne and Bridport. I am a qualified GP (working in the South Somerset area) and believe that this puts me in an excellent position to lead a company that delivers bespoke client-centred care. I live in a hamlet near Martock with my young family.
The Yeovil office was established by my late husband Ashley Gray; he was passionate about delivering top-quality care to people in their own homes, supporting them to maintain their independence if they wished to do so. Fundamental to the business are the principles of empathy, respect, value in service and continuous learning. Ashley was a great believer in the power of relationships to enrich and transform lives. He derived energy from being around other people and recognised the huge benefit that human interaction can have on an individual’s sense of well-being. I very much hope to build on the foundations that Ashley created and embed Home Instead as the most trusted home-care company in the locality.
Mark and I have a wonderful office team around us to support our vision to grow the business without compromising on quality. We have lots of exciting plans and ideas to help us attain our goal of being able to provide the best care to more people. I feel very privileged to be part of a business that has fabulous Care Professionals who are resolutely dedicated to our lovely clients and are all prepared to go the extra mile.
Although I am not from Somerset originally, I love living here; it feels like home. Away from work, I enjoy riding, running and meeting friends. Having three very active boys, we spend a lot of time outdoors, making the most of the beautiful countryside.
I have been a GP in the Somerset and Dorset area for 25 years. When not at work I love sport and have recently completed an ultramarathon (never again). I enjoy spending time walking, reading and with the family outside of sport and work. The profile picture was taken by one of my 3 year old twins to post on the website.
We are a local employer and feel a part of the local community both as an employer but crucially in providing care for clients in South Somerset & Dorset.
Having Doctors, Nurses and Caregivers in our team allow us to provide the highest quality of person-centred care, whilst having the knowledge to judge when extra support and onward referral is necessary. This is always underpinned by our ambition of maintaining a client’s independence, enabling people to stay in their own homes wherever possible.
I believe the prioritization of time we give to our clients builds the space for empathy and enjoyment of social interaction. This allows us to create relationships that are based on an individual’s personal interests as well as their needs. It is only through taking the time to truly understand an individual, that we are equipped with the detail to deliver a bespoke service. These elements have been critical in my clinical practice and inform our ethos at Home Instead. Some of my feelings have been shaped by looking after both my parents who suffer from dementia and are cared for at home by a dedicated team (including my brother and I). My focus is on providing care that I would be happy for my Mum and Dad to enjoy.
I have worked within the healthcare sector for over 15 years. I moved to the UK about 20 years ago, I'm originally from Estonia. I started as a care and support worker and slowly worked my way up to registered manager. I have a wealth of experience and qualifications to bring to the role.
I have completed NVQs in Health and Social care up to Level 5 in Management and leadership. I have worked as a care manager in various settings for many years, mainly domiciliary. I have also managed staff in a residential setting and worked with people with learning disabilities and autism. I love training staff. I've been a moving and handling assessor and instructor for 5 years. I am also a “Dementia Friend” and very passionate about changing people's perceptions of dementia. My aim is to change the face of care and help people age well.
I live in Gillingham, Dorset with my husband, two teenage children and two dogs. Most of my free time is spent outdoors with my dogs, I have a French bulldog called Boris and a boxer dog called Roxy, they keep me active. I also love gardening, travelling and spending time with my family and friends.
Alexia guarantees you meet a warm, smiling person every time she comes to visit you. She is our quality champion and Trainer and ensures your care is consistently meeting the highest standards and that with her warmth you can confide in her when it isn't and she will put it right. She is currently completing her Level 3 NVQ.
My name is Becky. I live in Stoke sub-Hamdon with my husband and child.
As Head of People Experience, I am a ‘Dementia friend’ and have many years of experience in the Health sector. The welfare of others is at the heart of who I am. So that our amazing Care professionals can provide the excellent care we expect for you, they support and care for them with a smile, an ear and an open heart. We are all a part of this life together so let's make it the best it can be.... and then some.
I started working for Home Instead as Finance & Administration Assistant in October 2021, having previously worked in Complex Care as an HCA. I have 28 years of admin experience so this job gives me the best of both worlds.
I have worked previously for Architects, the Ministry of Defence, a Housing Association, NATO in Brussels, Insurance Brokers, Spinal Homecare and also ran a pub with my brother.
I started working for Home instead of in July 2023 but before this, I had extensive experience working in home care. I have always loved working with people to help them stay in their own homes for as long and as independently as possible.
I am passionate about helping people remain in their homes, where they feel safe & in control of their daily needs all within a familiar environment.
Since working for Home Instead, it has been very clear to see the care and compassion that the Care Professionals have for the clients that they visit on a daily basis and the fact that they will always go that extra mile to solve a problem and feel that everything is achievable if we work together as a team. I'm looking forward to starting my journey here and being part of the Home Instead family.
Hi, I’m Julie, the new Field Care Supervisor at Home Instead. I’ve worked in the health sector for many years and have always enjoyed being out in the community, supporting patients and their families. For the last five years, I’ve been part of the Hospice care team in Devon, which was a deeply rewarding experience.
As a true Devonian, I love the countryside and spend a lot of time outdoors with my little dog, Yarak, who keeps me active with our twice-daily walks! When I’m not walking, you’ll often find me cycling or swimming.
I am the newly joined marketing coordinator, with over five years of experience in the health and social care industry. Before my tenure at the home care company, I refined my skills at a digital marketing agency in India, where I managed a diverse portfolio of brands.
Outside work, I enjoy outdoor sports, especially cricket and volleyball, spending time with my family, and trying Indian restaurants in Yeovil and nearby towns. Using my experience in social care and digital marketing, I wish to contribute to the growth of Home Instead Yeovil to the next level.
