My father was a client of Blue River Home Care for less than a year but in that time he received an excellent service from them. Initially, he was very sceptical about having carers but within a couple of weeks he warmed to them and really looked forward to the company and the chat about football,
cricket or whatever was the current topic in the news. For my part, if dad was happy, I was happy and I knew that if I had any cause for concern I could always telephone/text and would get a response. Sadly, my father passed away in December following major surgery but I am so pleased that in his final months he was under the care of Blue River, his best interests were always uppermost in their dealings with him.

Carers and the office go out of their way to help me with things not even stated in my care plan to do. They went at times way beyond what one would expect from a carer. I have the same carers every day and we are as friends, family and sisters all in one. The office is always considerate to my wishes.
The manager is doing everything possible to keep me happy and therefore would always recommend them.

Since the day Blue River were appointed for both my brother and sister in law the standard of care they have provided has been consistently excellent, often going above and beyond what might have been expected.


Manager and her team are extremely friendly and caring individuals who really take the

time to understand my relatives' care needs and always deliver on what they promise. The team are excellent to communicate with and very flexible and helpful in challenging times.


I would not hesitate to recommend their services and they have made a real difference in improving the quality of my sister in law and brother's lives.

My mother has now been in the care of the manager and the team at Blue river for over a year and I cannot recommend them highly enough. The recent carers have been of the highest quality and my mums is now benefiting from a fully trained nurse which suits her medical needs.


What separates Blueriver

from the others, for us, was the managers personal approach and swift and effective resolution to any issues. Mums prior carers, a few years ago, seemed more concerned with money than care and this is clearly not the case for mums current care - she always comes first.

I cannot fault the attention given to listening to what my mum's needs were when we were putting in place some extra help for her and the manager and her team always responded quickly if ever we wanted to talk to them. The carers were exceptionally friendly, kind and patient with mum. In particular,
when mum was very poorly one day I will never forget the tenderness, gentleness and skill with which she was spoken to and cared for - much more than just 'providing a service'. Thank you.

We called on this care company to assist my relative for four hours daily to deal with dressing and preparing lunch. Although he is not an easy person to deal with the carers had great patience in dealing with his moods. Over the following three to four months his health and mental capacity deteriorated.
During that time he was having increased care including a live in carer. The owners and all the carers without exception showed compassion, skill and patience dealing with increased dementia. They could not have been more devoted to his wellbeing if he had been one of their family. When he was finally admitted to hospital and subsequently a care home, with reluctance we dispensed with their services. We have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending this company to anyone who requires personal care.

I suffer from recurring depressive episodes which can affect my attitude to hygiene. I also have arthritis. They help me to wash and dress myself. They also prepare my breakfast - otherwise, I would not bother. Very friendly, helpful and positive.

Blue River Home Care took over from another agency who were not acceptable to our family and immediately, the difference was clear. Blue River were very enthusiastic in caring for my mother and spared no effort in seeing to it that Mum was comfortable and cleaned and nourished. Verbal interaction was
always very friendly in tone and Mum's health improved considerably during the period she was cared for by Blue River.


The expertise of the manager was, without doubt, exceptional as was the contribution from all her carers.


I have no hesitation in recommending Blue River Home Care. For me, they have set the standard.

My father has complex care needs and we have had many agencies in the past over the years. It never worked with any of the many companies we used privately and through the council. Blue River Home Care was recommended to us by a friend and we are so grateful for appointing them as they are like no any

This is a care provider who, as a whole group are now like kin and members of the client's own family. Mum, who is in palliative care and also has vascular dementia, is unswervingly provided with respect and loving care. The agency's two competent and loving carers are each like a carer, nurse, companion,
daughter, sister, mother and friend, all rolled into one! If this is what care services are about then no one could wish for more professionalism, attention, high-quality service and compassion than what is provided. No chore is left undone in the home making life easier for us from cleaning to the required care suitable for our mum's needs. The group gained the trust of the whole family in the shortest time possible. The care provided is meticulously monitored, co-ordinated and supervised by the director most efficiently. Challenges are resolved on the spot. Family are kept informed, made to feel really happy and content with every aspect of mum's care and safety both night and day.
