The Right at Home Stockport and Didsbury team have looked after my dad for 4 years. The care team have always been caring, compassionate and unendingly kind. The office team are always happy to help. It has always been a great weight off my mind to know that dad is well looked after.

Due to vascular dementia, my very independent 91-year-old mum required support to help her continue to live safely in her own home. All my interactions with the carers and the office were very positive. As time went on, I think mum became more relaxed with her carers. I know she struggled initially and often refused help with showering. Everyone appeared to have endless patience with her, particularly when she hid the keys! Without the team's support, Mum would have had to go into residential care. I'm so very pleased that in the end, she died peacefully in her own home, as this is what she had wanted. Thank you.

Not consistent with times they arrive and staff is changed each time. Some staff are good and some are not so good at engagement and need to be guided more than you would expect. Some don't appear interested.

Mum had mobility problems and was cared for mainly while she was confined to bed but in some instances was helped with the aid of a hoist to get to a comfortable chair. I approached Right at Home having read the the excellent reviews of their services. From my initial contact I found the staff to be very friendly and professional. The assessment for my dad was carried out by a particular member of staff. She completed a thorough assessment and put my dad at ease and was very accommodating to his care needs. Though it was for a short period of time prior to my dad needing to go into a residential home, the care provided to my dad was excellent. I would highly recommend this company.

I am asleep during the two-night visits, but my husband seems well cared for and is content when I come down. They are quiet when they come in and if they think there's a problem they will wake me up/leave me a note depending on the severity of the condition. I am very happy with the care.

I organised ‘Companion’ support from Right at Home, Stockport and Didsbury for my 95-year-old mother last November. The outcome is perfect; the companions are so professional, helpful, caring, supportive and compassionate. The regular ones have developed a lovely relationship with my mother who enjoys their visits very much. The office staff are amazing too; very helpful and always so cheerful, it’s a pleasure ringing them. Both the companions and office staff appear to enjoy their work, which is so important as it impacts on their service in a positive way.

Never before has a name been so fitting for Home Care, I intend for all CareGivers, my team and I to truly MEAN WELL!!
When asked in an interview what I wanted to do with my life, the instant reaction came back, ‘I want to make a difference’. Whilst I have developed two car rental businesses from small beginnings and influenced many employees along the journey, I have never truly done what I set out to do.
At Right at Home Stockport & Didsbury, I believe that I have a unique opportunity to deliver outstanding care in a community I have lived in for over seventeen years and use the skills I have developed to make a difference. Throughout my business career to date, I have always demanded high-quality service and asked each employee to treat a customer like their ‘grandparent’, knowing that your ‘grandparent’ should be respected and cared for more than any other family member. The experience of growing in a quality customer-focused business has made me determined to translate this into the Home Care sector.
I am a recognised dementia friend and will be progressing, as a dementia champion to train others in the local community. Hopefully developing dementia communities where as many people as possible can help those living with dementia to lead a full life.
As I now live and work locally I know that my family will become a strong support to the future development of Right at Home Stockport & Didsbury. With a wife and three young children at home waiting for the next daily update on the care adventure.
Stacey has over 15 year of experience in the care industry, starting out as a Healthcare assistant in a variety of settings providing support to service users with complex care needs including spinal injury, acquired brain injury and end-of-life care. Stacey then took on a part-time role as a trainer within the same company which gradually led to becoming Care Quality Manager throughout the 11 branches.
During this time Stacey developed her knowledge in training, assessing and supporting staff by completing a variety of Healthcare and teaching qualifications.
Stacey's wide range of experiences, skills, and knowledge make her an invaluable member of the Stockport and Didsbury team, helping guide our service to providing outstanding care by supporting the care workers to go that extra mile and make a difference every day.
My name is Matthew and I started with Right at Home as a Community Caregiver in April 2020, following the closure of hospitality due to COVID-19, and a 9-year spell in hotel management. Joining Right at Home was a big career change, but not something unfamiliar, as I was caring for the family during my career in hospitality. It's something I wish I'd done sooner, as the care industry is a great one to work in, and knowing we are making a difference in people's lives, and those who need it the most is incredibly rewarding.
In conjunction with the rest of the management team, I help to ensure compliance through staff observations and training and visit clients' homes to complete assessments.

I have worked in care from a very young age, working in the same care home for twelve years. I have my NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care and a Level 2 in Dementia Awareness. I have worked in care for so long because I love making a difference in other people's lives. I treat every client as though they were my own parent or family member.
