The service provided to my mother is of a very good standard and delivered with sincerity and compassion. The visits and lunches that my mum now attends are an enormous help for her coping with Alzheimer's Disease.

After a lengthy stay in hospital and various NHS care facilities, my 85 year old father has finally returned to his own home. To make the transition as smooth as possible, I turned to Right at Home for assistance with his night care.
The two carers were courteous, professional and reassuring, they fully explained their services and took the time to gather all the background information they required in order to assess my father's needs.
The level of care and support provided by their overnight staff has been absolutely excellent and has provided peace of mind for my father and all of the family whilst he becomes accustomed to being back at home.

I would highly recommend this company to anyone seeking care provisions for their loved ones.

We needed care and support whilst we were away on holiday. We only used the service for 5 days but found the company very professional. The owner visited personally and then returned, introducing each member of new staff. We had a thorough assessment of need and nothing was too much trouble, Mum was well looked after and happy when we came home. I would definitely use them again.

My dad had another company dealing with his care needs and due to how bad they were we changed to Right at Home. It is the best decision I have made. My dad is like a different man. His care from the company is professional meets all his needs. You can always contact them. I feel like I have got my dad back since he has been with them. I would recommend anyone needing care at home to go to Right at Home.

We had the need to change service provider at very short notice and Right at Home started in a week to help my Dad.

I cannot express highly enough the dignity and respect afforded to my Dad. The staff talk with him as a human being and have brought light back into his eyes. He is more chatty with everyone now.

The staff are helping Mum with getting Dad to use the electronic exercise bike three times a day, which is building the strength back into his legs.

We may have a long way to go with Dads mobility but a great difference has been evident since Right at Home started.

All the staff are courteous to anyone who is in the house and make it very clear that they are there to help Dad and take the pressure off Mum. Mum knows and feels it is still her home and that she will be the first to know of changes that may need to happen

Right at Home cared for my wife during the last few weeks of her life, when she was confined to bed and her condition steadily worsening requiring increasingly personal care. They went to great lengths to maintain carer continuity throughout. The three carers were all kind, caring, gentle, compassionate, efficient and highly competent. We could not have wished for better care from the carers themselves and from their senior management. They became not only carers but friends. When it became necessary they also worked very well with district nurses and other palliative care professionals. I wholeheartedly recommend Right at Home to others.

I am really pleased with the care I received for about 4 months, whilst I was recovering from a back injury. My Carer was very friendly, caring and treated me with dignity at all times. She was always punctual and she made sure I took my medication. Nothing was too much trouble for her and I should have no hesitation in using Right at Home again, should it be necessary.

Prior to employing the services of Right at Home (RAH), our mum, who has dementia was becoming increasingly difficult to look after properly. Trying to get her to take a bath or her daily medication was like mission impossible. After four months of being assisted by the care staff of RAH things are now so different. We have found the carers to be dedicated, often well beyond the call of duty, and very effective in what they do. Mum now has a bath daily, takes her medication correctly and we can relax a little more knowing that she is attended to first thing in the morning and early evening. The care mum has received to date really has been excellent. We are notified if a care worker has any cause for concern and a report is produced after each visit, which I can view via an app, providing extra reassurance. We have established a good rapport with RAH management and feel we can discuss just about anything pertaining to the care of our mum. Although initially, we were a little unsure as to how home care would work out we would now have no hesitation in recommending RAH.

Firstly, I was most impressed with the speed and alacrity with which our carer responded to a very late request. He was very professional with my mother but also very friendly. The service provided was exemplary and just what was needed. Thank you.

Having my parents staying with us for Christmas, I required care for my step-father who has advanced Parkinson’s. The carer and his team kindly helped out when no other agency would as it was only for a short time.
I could not have asked for any more than they offered. The staff were polite, friendly, kind and caring whilst aiding the utmost dignity for my father.

They were clean, prompt and very professional and I would certainly recommend them to anyone looking for a care agency in the area.

Meet the Team (7)

David Meanwell Job Title: Managing Director Joined: 2017
David Meanwell

Never before has a name been so fitting for Home Care, I intend for all CareGivers, my team and I to truly MEAN WELL!!

When asked in an interview what I wanted to do with my life, the instant reaction came back, ‘I want to make a difference’. Whilst I have developed two car rental businesses from small beginnings and influenced many employees along the journey, I have never truly done what I set out to do.

At Right at Home Stockport & Didsbury, I believe that I have a unique opportunity to deliver outstanding care in a community I have lived in for over seventeen years and use the skills I have developed to make a difference. Throughout my business career to date, I have always demanded high-quality service and asked each employee to treat a customer like their ‘grandparent’, knowing that your ‘grandparent’ should be respected and cared for more than any other family member. The experience of growing in a quality customer-focused business has made me determined to translate this into the Home Care sector.

I am a recognised dementia friend and will be progressing, as a dementia champion to train others in the local community. Hopefully developing dementia communities where as many people as possible can help those living with dementia to lead a full life.

As I now live and work locally I know that my family will become a strong support to the future development of Right at Home Stockport & Didsbury. With a wife and three young children at home waiting for the next daily update on the care adventure.

Matthew Lloyd Job Title: Care Manager Joined: 2020
Matthew Lloyd

My name is Matthew and I started with Right at Home as a Community Caregiver in April 2020, following the closure of hospitality due to COVID-19, and a 9-year spell in hotel management. Joining Right at Home was a big career change, but not something unfamiliar, as I was caring for the family during my career in hospitality. It's something I wish I'd done sooner, as the care industry is a great one to work in, and knowing we are making a difference in people's lives, and those who need it the most is incredibly rewarding.

In conjunction with the rest of the management team, I help to ensure compliance through staff observations and training and visit clients' homes to complete assessments.

I would encourage anyone who's looking for a career change, or people who have a caring nature, to look for a career with Right at Home.

My name is Natasha, I have recently joined the team at Right at Home as a Care Assessor.

I have worked in care from a very young age, working in the same care home for twelve years. I have my NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care and a Level 2 in Dementia Awareness. I have worked in care for so long because I love making a difference in other people's lives. I treat every client as though they were my own parent or family member.

When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my family, taking my son to football and I like watching football on the television.
