BelleVie has provided daily support to an elderly lady living alone with early-onset dementia for 2-months. She desperately wants to remain in her home and this would not be possible without BelleVie. They have been flexible and understanding and managed a difficult situation in which the lady declines or does not accept she needs help and does not want strangers in her house, while at the same time her condition and ability to support herself has been deteriorating. We advised against introducing too many different people too quickly and initially this was a problem, but BelleVie have been very patient and responsive and made necessary changes so after only a couple of months the lady has developed trust and confidence in two of the team who she will allow into her house to help her with cooking, eating a meal, cleaning, and driving her to friends. Daily online visit reports and regular email and telephone communication have been excellent enabling any issues to be resolved quickly.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review for us. Person-centred care, dignity, respect and supporting our clients and their families is very important to us at BelleVie. I will pass your kind words to our well-being support workers.
Incredibly impressed with the quick service. My mother was almost hit by a car before Christmas and needed care. During a period when most other services were closed down, the team got to us, made their assessment and started care before I had to leave. All during the holidays. My mother really appreciates that the carers are well educated, helpful and mature. Just great service, Thanks
Thank you so much for your comments; I know this has been a stressful time for you all. The team really do enjoy supporting your mum to thrive at home. This truly warms our hearts and is the reason we exist. We will let the team know - they will be thrilled.
After they visit she is always cheerful and energized! She loves hearing about their own lives, and that they help her do gardening.
Communication with Jill at the office is always excellent.
So far our experience has been excellent. We would like more visits, and are waiting for more capacity from Bellevie for this.
Thank you very much, Penny, for your kind words, we are looking forward to continuing to support your mother, the Oxford team enjoys their visits!
BelleVie has provided carers to visit Mum twice a week since the beginning of the year, to make her lunch and provide some company. This has been very beneficial, especially during lockdown when Mum has had so much less contact with the outside world. Mum has loved having the company - and someone to cook eggs for her - and my brother and I have appreciated the feedback on the "Birdie" app. Mum is now moving on to a care home but we'd like to record our heartfelt thanks to all the BelleVie staff who have been involved in her care over the last few months.
Thank you. The team really enjoyed getting to know your Mum and supporting her at home.
My godmother was not keen to have any formal care package and very reluctantly accepted BelleVie coming into her home. Despite her reticence, she was very happy with the BelleVie carers from the beginning. This was a huge relief to us. The carers were kind, compassionate and good company. My godmother would have needed to have gone into a nursing home if it was not for BelleVie. As a family, we got to know the BelleVie team too and they were individually amazing and made such a difference to my godmother.
Thank you very much, Steph for your kind words, I will pass this onto the care team for you.
Very impressed by both the carers and their organisers. Useful information was shared efficiently, and carers showed initiative in finding ways to help a slightly difficult client. Highly recommended.
The BelleVie team has provided us and our relative with amazing support, especially during the COVID lockdown period when we have been unable to visit. They have managed and advised on difficult situations and gone far above and beyond usual care agencies, showing honesty and integrity. We are very grateful to the care team for their concern and interaction with my step-mother, and with us.
BelleVie has been brilliant with my dad. They have really worked to make a package that suits him and have been really flexible in altering it when need be. They are very easy to get in touch with. My dad’s key worker has developed a really good relationship with him, which isn’t easy as he is not an easily impressed man. I would recommend this agency wholeheartedly.
Exceptional!
All aspects were good but what deeply impressed me was the professional yet human approach of everyone I came into contact with and willingness to go the extra mile particularly in terms of time.
Provided end of life care for my Mum.
Thank you so much.
My father has been getting help and support from the Bellevie Wellbeing Teams for the last 6 months. I have noticed a great change in my father's behaviour, hygiene and health during this time which has taken a great deal off my back as I know he is in great hands. He enjoys his visits and the company as he lives alone. The office staff, when I ever call them, are great, helping me with advice and their knowledge of my father's behaviour. Overall I am very happy with their service and highly recommend them to anyone looking for that extra support for their loved ones.
I was impressed by the efficiency of the Office and the first approach to get the package in place. It was also helpful how the Team communicated with one another to ensure care was consistent. On the only one day when the rota had to be adjusted, they checked with each other that I had received my prescription.
I have already recommended them!
Extremely pleased with the service. The carers were always very punctual and reliable. They were very good at relating to my husband and engaging him in conversation. They always treated him with dignity and respect and also always concerned themselves with my welfare. They always rose to the challenge in a crisis. I would highly recommend their services.
I have been extremely impressed by the Bellevie Wellbeing Teams and would recommend them most highly to others. They were easy to contact (initially by phone) and happy to discuss my aunt's particular needs in detail. They came to meet her in person at home and undertook a comprehensive and sensitive assessment. They thought carefully about how they could best help and support her and came up with a number of novel and appropriate ideas, several of which we have taken up (visits to local garden centres and gardens, walks by the river, helping her use an i-pad to send emails). My aunt is profoundly deaf and I have been very impressed by the patience and professional approach of all the carers towards her. They quickly put her at her ease, giving her time to express herself, ensuring she feels valued and listened to. She was initially reluctant to accept carers into her home but their visits are now highlights in her week and she is happier and more fulfilled, thanks to the Bellevie Wellbeing Team.
We cannot thank Wellbeing enough for the kindness, patience and compassion they showed dad through his good and bad days. The girls were always cheerful and kept us informed of any problems. Although my brother and I saw him every day it was a comfort to know that he was looked after. We hope you continue from strength to strength. Good luck with your good work.
Great service from this team, always keep me up to date with any problems or concerns. Quick to respond to any questions from me and family members. Helpful in every way.
Brilliant care team. Show real care and empathy. What makes them stand out from other care providers is they actually asked my mum what she wanted from them. This made such a difference and gave us the peace of mind that mum was happy and being cared for properly.
I found it amazing whenever I visited to find carers who not only accepted my friend as they found him but were open and generous with him. This was so important to him during his illness when family were distant - even though neighbours were hugely supportive and other more distant friends only occasional.
The fact that these carers visited my friend in the hospices in their own time and also attended his funeral speaks volumes.
It was always a happy time with the carers present.
Thank you all again.
